TECHNICAL SAFETY

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be observed including the following:

  1. Before connecting the appliance, check if the voltage indicated corresponds with the mains voltage in your home.
  2. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse body, cord or plug in water or other liquid.
  3. Place the airpot on a flat surface, at least 30 cm away from stove or other heat source.
  4. Do not fill any liquid except clean water.
  5. Do not fill water directly from a tap water faucet. Use a pitcher or kettle to keep electrical parts safe from splashes of water.
  6. Never plug into the power source without filling the pot with water. Do not over fill the pot with water and always check if the water level needs new supply.
  7. Avoid splashes of water on the airpot’s body especially on the top portion to prevent electrical shocks. In accidental case of water splashes, wipe it dry immediately.
  8.  Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counters, or touch hot surfaces.
  9. Do not operate any appliance with damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunction of has been damaged in any manner.
  10. In case of damaged mains cord, it must be replaced by a repair shop authorized by the manufacturer.
  11. Keep the airpot away from children, handicapped and elderly persons. They should be supervised if they are going to dispense water from the airpot to prevent accidents and burn injuries.
  12. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting or taking off parts.

OPERATION

  • Tips and reminders when filling water:
  • Never fill water in excess. Doing so will cause water overflow when boiling and may damage body while heating water. It may also damage the airpot after a short period of time.
  • Never fill water directly from a tap water faucet to avoid short-circuit and electrical shock.
  • Be sure to close the top cover and lock it.
  • Note: Closing the top cover creates a clicking sound.
  • Plug it in to the power source. The red indicator lights up to indicate the heating process.
  • Never open the top cover or fill the airpot with water during boiling. Do not cover the steam vent. When water has boiled, the red indicator turns off and the green indicator lights on signaling the keep warm state (temperature approximately 98°C).
  • When dispensing hot water, press the pressure pad with enough force to bring out water from the airpot. Exercise caution and extreme care when dispensing hot water from the airpot to prevent accidents and burn injuries.
  • Press the lid opening switch to unlock the lid’s top cover and open it.
  • Pour water into the airpot up to the “MAX” water mark.
  • Close the top cover and lock it. Closing the top cover creates a clicking sound.
  • Plug it in to the power source. The red indicator lights up to indicate the heating process.
  • When water has boiled, the red indicator turns off and the green indicator lights on signaling the keep warm state (temperature approximately 98°C).
  • When dispensing hot water, press the pressure pad with enough force to bring out water from the airpot.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

When cleaning the airpot, make sure to unplug from the power source and the hot water has cooled down completely before taking it out from the airpot. It is advisable to clean the airpot inside and outside before using for the first time. Cleaning the airpot scheduled once a month or as desired to ensure water quality and to lengthen service life of inner pot. When the airpot is not going to be used for a long time, it should be cleaned and dried before sealing in a plastic bag and stored in a safe, dry place.
