Apps Smart iCarCam App User Guide

How to use the Smart iCarCam app

Step 1. Download & Install

• Go to Google Play Store or Apple Store
• Install Smart iCarCam
  Step 2. Power on a VTR117GW.
  Step 3. Connect Wi-Fi

1. Go to mobile device Wi-Fi settings
2. Select SSID: M-xxxxx
3. Enter password: 12345678
   Step 4. Open “Smart iCarCam” App
   Step 5. “Open Carcam” for “Live View”

Off-line Mode
When Wi-Fi is not connected to the camera and operating in ‘off-line’ mode.
Camera picture will not be displayed.
“Open Camera” will not be displayed.
Menu Buttons at the bottom row:
“CarCam” Main screen
“Track” VTR117GW travelled positions, if connected previously.
“Gallery” View photos and downloaded videos.
“Me” FAQ – about VTR117GW, installations, connection, recording, Q&A
About – the App version, MPH/KPH settings

Live View

When iCarCam is open, it displays the live view.

Icons & Buttons
Red Dot: Recording in progress
720P or 1080P: Recording resolution
Microphone: Audio recording on/off
Arrows: Change to the full screen display mode
Camera: View recorded videos in the VTR117GW
Shutter Button: Touch to take a picture. To view go to the ‘Gallery’ -> “Photos”.
Gear: Go to ‘Settings’ menu

Recorded Videos

 Touch the camera button
It will show the videos in thumb nails as below.

Playback by touching the video.
It will play back with the camera’s geolocation on the Google map.

Download to cell phone

1. ‘Select’ (top right corner of the screen)
2. Touch video (check marked)
3. Download ( button) The video will be saved onto the mobile device. To view the downloaded videos, go to the ‘Gallery’ -> “Video

View Photos and Downloaded Videos

Take pictures
 Touch the shutter button from the live mode

To view the pictures

1. Touch “CarCam” button to go to the main screen (exit live mode)
   

2. Select ‘Gallery’
   

3. Touch a thumbnail to view a photo

To view the downloaded videos

1. Select ‘Videos’

2. Touch a video thumbnail to playback.

Camera Settings

Touch the Settings button from the live mode.

M-xxxxx > Display MAC Address

Voice Prompt > Turn on or off voice prompt.

Gesture Photography > Set sensitivity

Language > Selection language

Video Resolution > Select Recording Resolution

G-Sensor Sensitivity > Impact sensitivity

Time Synchronization > Synchronize VTR117GW time with the phone time
Card Storage Management > MicroSD Card usage & Reset

Version > FW info & version

FAQ and Speed Setting

Go To the Main Screen

Select “Me”
