OMTech XF-180 Fume Extractor
INTRODUCTION
Our XF180 fume extractor is small and easily portable thanks to its four swivel casters and conventional power cords. Its adjustable-length extraction tube can be used in any direction for maximum versatility. Its purified air meets PONY EIA testing certification standards. The filter element is able to trap dust on all sides and processes at three airflow speed settings.
SAFETY INFORMATION
WARNING
- Before use, please ensure your power supply matches the specified rated voltage labeled on the machine. DO NOT use if the power supply voltage is outside the specified range or if the power supply voltage is unstable.
- The operating temperature range for the machine is between 40-122°F (5-50°C). DO NOT operate the machine if the environment OR the fumes inhaled are outside of the operating temperature range. For best results, only use the machine in temperature-controlled environments between 68-122°F (20-30°C).
- The operating relative humidity range of the machine is 40-80%. DO NOT operate the machine if the environment OR fumes inhaled are outside of the operating relative humidity range as the filters will not function properly and the machine may short circuit.
- DO NOT wash the filter element. Replace the filter elements with ones manufactured by the same company.
- DO NOT operate the machine directly without the filter element as the fumes inhaled will damage the machine.
- DO NOT use the machine when the filter cartridge is clogged as this will shorten the service life of the machine. Replace the filter element regularly. Clean and maintain the machine in a good condition.
- DO NOT open the inside of the machine or repair it by yourself.
- DO NOT use or store this product in hot or humid conditions or near flammable, explosive, or strongly electromagnetic substances.
- Turn off and unplug the machine when not in use and before cleaning or maintenance.

INSTALLATION
- Attach the extraction hood to one end the extraction tube.
- Attach the other end of the extraction tube to the flange seat located on the top cover of the main body.
- Adjust the extraction tube and hood according to your needs. For best results, position the source of the fumes 4–6 in. (10-15 cm) away from the extraction hood.
- After ensuring your power supply is compatible and stable, connect the power cord to the main body and then its power supply. Check that all power connections are stable.
OPERATION
- Press the power button once to turn on the machine in low suction mode.
- Press the power button a second time to use the machine in medium suction mode.
- Press a third time use high suction mode.
- Press the button a fourth time to turn it off.
The longer and curvier the extraction tube, the weaker the suction will be at all levels. For best results, keep the extraction as short and straight as possible while still positioned 4-6 in. (10-15 cm) away from the fume source.
MAINTENANCE
- Check the filter cartridge when the suction becomes weak.
- Mark the specific replacement date on the new filter cartridge during replacement.
- Replace the filter elements regularly. Be sure to turn off the machine before replacing the filter elements. (Use original replacement filters manufactured by the company)
- When replacing the filter elements of the filter cartridge, hold the structured borders with both hands and gently insert or remove the filter elements. DO NOT directly grab the filter element as you might damage or deform the filter.
- Clean the exhaustion tube and hood regularly to prevent dust build-up.
FILTER CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS
- Remove the top cover by opening the cover latches on both sides and lifting the cover.
- Remove the used filter cartridge carefully and gently. Again, do not directly or violently grab the filter elements.
- Install a new filter cartridge into the machine, using its structured edge.
- Place the top cover back on and close the cover latches.
TROUBLESHOOTING
WARNING Turn off and unplug the machine before inspection and maintenance.
