User Manual Troubleshooting
APPLICATION NOTE
L3000 USB DRIVER TROUBLESHOOTING
You can use the following guideline to either verify L3000 USB driver is
correctly installed or to manually install the device’s driver.
A standard driver is automatically installed when connecting L3000 for the
first time to a PC running Windows. In some cases it is not the correct one or
installation fails.
Because of this, ArmonìaPlus ‘communication manager’ will not show the L3000
serial port among the available options i.e. it is not possible to connect the
amplifier.
To properly mount the driver proceed as follows.
- Go to ‘Settings’ via the ‘Start’ menu.
- Type ‘Device Manager’ on the search box and select the right option from the list
- If you find “CP2104 USB to UART Bridge Controller” driver in ‘Other devices’, the L3000 USB driver isn’t correctly installed.
- To solve this issue go back to ‘Settings’ window and select ‘Update & Security’
- Check for updates’ (internet connection is required)
- View optional updates’
- Open ‘Driver updates’
- Select “Silicon Laboratories Inc. – Ports – ……”
- ‘Download and install’
- Wait for the installation to finish and then return to ‘Device Manager’ to check if the “Silicon Labs” device is present in “Ports (COM & LPT)”.
