PW425G Digital Scale

legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for reuse and recycling. electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Please read these instructions before operating the appliance and retain for future use.

  • The appliance is intended solely for domestic use within the home.

  • always use batteries which corresponds with the voltage printed on the bottom of the appliance.

  • If possible, always weigh yourself at the same time of day (ideally in the morning), after going to the toilet, with an empty stomach and without clothes to achieve comparable results.

  • Minor deviation are normal. For example when you drink  1 glass of water a deviation of approx. 300 grams canoccur.

  • Do not stand on the scale with wet feet and do not step on the scale when its surface is wet – danger of slipping!

  • protect the scale against hard knocks, moisture, dust, chemicals, major temperature fluctuations and heat sources which are too close (stove, heating radiators).

  • If you want to store the appliance for a long period, please keep it in the original box and remove the battery.

  • an electrical appliance is not a toy and should therefore always be placed outside of the reach of children. children are not always able to understand potential risks. Teach children a responsible handling of electrical appliances.

  • children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

  • always use the appliance on a secure, dry, flat surface.

  • never use the appliance if it is not working properly, or if it has been damaged. any intervention other than cleaning and normal maintenance by the customer must be carried out by an approved service centre.

  • If you decide never to use the appliance again, we advise you to dispose of it in special containers or at a municipal waste collection point.

  • Never immerse the appliance water or any other liquids.

  • If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended, or is it not handled in accordance with the instruction manual, the full responsibility for any consequences will
    rest with the user. any damages to the product or other things are not covered by the warranty.

  • spent batteries and rechargeable batteries are not designated for normal household waste! They are considered to be toxic waste and, as such, should be disposed of in special containers, toxic waste collection points or brought to electrical goods dealers. You are legally obliged to dispose of the batteries. note: Batteries containing pollutant substances are marked as follows: pb = Battery contains lead, cd = Battery contains cadmium, hg = Battery contains mercury.

WEIGHING CORRECTLY

weight problems, particularly predominance, can cause or accelerate diseases. Therefore regular checks are advisable. The body weight depends on fixed and influenceable factors. To the first belong age, sex as well as hereditary- conditioned influences.
To the influenceable factors belong the kind and quantity of the nurishment, physical and physological activity, as well as the process and the treatment of illness-related processes. of special importance is the temporal change of your body weight. In order to seize this, you should weigh regularly. The maximum capacity of the scale is max. 150 kg (24 st/330 lb). During the weight measurement the results are indicated in 100 g steps (0,2 lb/0.2 lb).

BEFORE FIRST USE

Before you use the appliance for the first time, please do as follows: carefully unpack the appliance and remove all the packaging material. Keep the material (plastic bags and cardboard) out of reach of children. check the appliance after unpacking for any damage, possible from transportation.
Before the first use the scale must be initialised. This must be done every time you use the scale on a different spot or when the battery is replaced.
place the scale on a flat and stable surface. with your foot press on the middle of the glass surface. The display will indicate 0000 or —–. The scale will automatically switch Noff. The scale is now ready for use.

CONVERT kG/ST/LB

press the UNIT button on the back of the scale to select the correct measuring unit(kg/st/lb).
kg = kilograms
lb = pounds
st = stone
place the scale on a flat and stable surface and wait for the scale to turn itself off.

WEIGHING

Stand directly on the scale to weigh yourself. as soon as the result blinks and then stops blinking the measurement is done.
The scale will turn itself off after about 10 seconds.
If you wish to weigh yourself again, please wait 10 seconds before standing on the scale.
Important: always use the scale on a flat and stable surface, never on a rug or carpet.
The maximum weighing capacity of the scale is 150 kg.when the maximum is exceeded the display will show

BATTERY

when Lo appears in the display, the battery is almost empty. remove the lid of the battery compartment from the back of the scale and place a new batterie – 1 x cr2032. If necessary please use a small screwdriver to remove the battery. check the polarities of the battery before placing.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

wipe the scale only with a damp cloth to clean. Never immerse the scale in water or any other liquids. handle the scale with care, protect the scale from impact with hard object and do not drop it. never use any abrasives!

GUARANTEE & AFTER SALES SERVICE

  • This product is guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase against mechanical and electrical defect.

  • guarantee can only be given if proof of purchase (e.g. till receipt) can be shown. Therefore keep it in a safe place.
    The guarantee period starts at date of purchase.

  • guarantee is not valid in case of:
    – normal wear;
    – damage through misuse use or when the instructions were not followed correctly;
    – lack of maintenance;
    – not following the operation- and safety instructions;
    – incompetent montage or repairs made by yourself or others;
    – using accessories and spare parts which are not suitable for the appliance; for assessment by our technical department.

  •  The guarantee is not valid for:
    – normal wear;
    – (interchangeable) signal- and controllamps for assessment by our technical department.

when the guarantee is no longer valid or when the period of guarantee has passed, we will charge any costs that flow out of an assessment and/or repairing.
on request we will supply a statement before repairing. without requesting a statement, we assume that you, by sending the appliance, automatically order to repair the appliance.
a guarantee period of two months is valid for repairs done by our technical department and the used spare parts, counting from the repairdate. when a malfunction occurs within this period which directly flows out of the repairs and the used spare parts, the consumer has the right of repairs without any costs.INVENTUM PW425G Digital Scale - icon1
