n-com HPS Hearing Protection System
N-Com HPS protectors are designed and developed to protect against damage to hearing. Thanks to their flexible and hypoal- lergenic caps, they can adapt perfectly to any outer ear providing excellent comfort when wearing. Their patented technology reduces harmful external noise levels whilst permitting surrounding noise to filter through, with no sound distortion. For more information on the level of protection provided, please see the table on acoustic tests.
WARNING
- HPS protectors last on average for three years from the date they are first used. To ensure the validity of your product, check the serial number on the packaging for year/month of manufacture.
- Positioning and maintenance of the HPS must be carried out according to the instructions provided. Failure to do so will mean that hearing protection provided by the HPS will be reduced.
- To avoid any risk of damage to hearing, HPS protectors should be worn throughout exposure to noise (> 80dB (A) e <101 dB (A)).
After use, gently remove the HPS protectors. Sudden or rapid removal of the HPS from the ear canal could damage the eardrum.
IMPORTANT: Use while driving HPS protectors are designed and built to
reduce harmful noise levels, while allowing sounds essential for safe driving
to filter through (sirens, alarms, horns…).
Given that this device affects hearing (and that hearing varies from
individual to individual) by partially limiting noise and sounds from the
surrounding environment, we recommend that prior to first using it, you
undertake some hearing tests with this device in a controlled and safe
environment.
Should such preliminary tests show that noise and sound perception is
significantly altered or limited in a way that impacts on safety, we strongly
recommend that you do not use this device.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Please make sure your hands are clean before positioning the HPS protectors.
Insert the HPS protector into the ear canal until the black cap fits snugly in
your ear. Once in place, the transparent tip will remain protuding out of the
ear.
Important: if the standard-sized black cap is too large for your outer ear, please use the smaller cap provided.
Note: before each use, check the HPS for any defects that may compro- mise their level of protection.
Use of the lanyard
To improve user experience, we recommend using the supplied lanyard.
Insert the transparent tips of the HPS into each end of the lanyard.
MAINTENANCE
Regularly clean the black caps by removing any ear wax. We recommend that you
use a neutral detergent, as stronger detergents (eg. acetone) could damage the
HPS.
Store and carry the HPS protectors in their protective case away from excess
heat or humidity.
