WARNING: Read the ENTIRE manual to become familiar with product features before operating. Failure to operate the product correctly may result in damage to the product or personal property, or cause serious injury.

This is a sophisticated hobby product. It must be operated with care and common sense and requires some basic mechanical skills. Failure to operate this product in a safe and responsible manner could result in personal injury or damage to the product or other property. This product is not suitable for use by children without direct adult supervision. Do not attempt to disassemble, use with incompatible components, or augment the product in any way without the permission of Horizon Hobby, LLC. This manual contains instructions for safety, operation and maintenance. It is essential to read and follow all instructions and warnings in the manual prior to assembly, setup or use in order to operate correctly and avoid damage or serious injury.

WARNING: Please follow these instructions carefully to reduce the risk of short circuit or fire.

NOTE: This application is not suitable for people with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience unless they are under the supervision and guidance of a person responsible for their safety.

General warnings about charging the batteries

WARNING: Inattention or misuse of the product in connection with the following warnings can lead to malfunction, electrical interference, excessive heat generation, FIRE, and death and property damage.

  • NEVER LEAVE THE ADAPTER, CHARGER AND BATTERY UNATTENDED WHILE OPERATING.
  • NEVER TRY DEEP DISCHARGE, DAMAGED OR CHARGING WET

BATTERIES.

  • Never charge battery packs that consist of different cell types.
  • Never let children under the age of 14 charge batteries.
  • Never charge batteries in extreme heat or cold or in direct sunlight.
  • Do not charge any batteries with cables that are damaged, punctured or shortened.
  • Never connect the charger if the cable is punctured or shortened.
  • Never connect the charger to a 12 volt Car battery on with engine running.
  • Never try to disassemble the charger or use a damaged charger.
  • Never connect the charger to an AC and a DC power source at the same time.
  • Never connect the DC input to an AC power source.
  • Only use rechargeable batteries that are also suitable for charging with this charger.
  • Always check the battery before charging.
  • Keep the battery away from materials affected by heat can become.
  • Always watch the charging process and keep one Fire extinguisher ready at all times.
  • Stop charging immediately if the battery becomes too hot to touch or changes shape (swells).
  • First connect the charging cable to the charger and then the battery to avoid reverse polarity of the connections. After loading, disconnect in reverse order.
  • Always connect the positive red (+) terminals and negative black (–) terminals correctly.
  • After charging, disconnect the battery from the charger and allow the charger to cool between charges.
  • Always charge in well ventilated areas.
  • For indoor use, do not expose to rain or moisture.
  • Never rap or modify the batteries.
  • In the event of malfunctions, terminate all processes immediately and contact Horizon Hobby.

WARNING: Never leave the charger unattended.
Never exceed the maximum charging current. Never charge unsuitable batteries or batteries in the wrong mode. Incorrect or incorrect operation can lead to excessive heat, fire or fatal injuries.

ATTENTION: Please always make sure that the batteries used match the specifications of the charger and that the charger settings are set correctly. Failure to do so may result in excessive heat and other malfunctions that may result in personal injury or property damage. Charger control

The charger menus are navigated using the selection buttons in the upper area of the charger.

  • Press the Channel 1 or 2 button to select the desired one select the charging port.
  • From the channel launch menu, hold down the Select button to enter the charger settings menu for that channel.
  • Press the Menu/Select button to select a menu item.
  • Press the down button to scroll down a menu list.
  • Press the up button to scroll up a menu list.
  • Press the back button to return to the previous menu.

Choice of charge port Each charge
port can be used with an IC3 or IC5 connector for charging.

  • Slide down the connector cover to use the IC3 connector.

Operating the charger

Before operating the charger, read the specifications of your battery and all battery-specific safety instructions.

  1. The power cord to the charger and to a suitable Connect power supply.

  2. Turn on the charger. The charger initializes the
    Home screen and indicates that the charger is ready for use.

  3. Connect the battery to the connector on the front of the charger.

  4. Connect the equalizer connector, if equipped, to the left of the equalizer connector (marked 2-6S).                                                                                Smart Batteries: When charging a Spektrum smart battery, the number of battery cells, battery type, battery charging current rate, and battery capacity are automatically set up and the charger begins charging automatically when the battery and balance lead (if equipped) are connected to the charger will.

  5. Press and release the Menu button to display the list of charger settings:

6. Select the desired task [Task].

7. Ensure that the settings for the battery to be charged are correct.

WARNING: Always check the charging parameters before starting the charging process. Charging a battery with incorrect settings, including charging a battery in the wrong mode, can cause property damage and fire.

8. Scroll to the Start menu item .

9. Press and release the Select button to begin charging.

While charging: 1. While the battery is charging, the main screen provides:

  • Charge percentage
  • Battery data
  • Charge current
  • Charged capacity
  • Remaining charge time (smart batteries only)
  • Total charge time

2. Scroll to the next screen for more cell voltage information.
3. Scroll to the last screen to view the battery’s internal resistance.
4. When the fast charge cycle is complete, it will beep Charger once and the battery bar will turn green. The charger balances the battery cells.

To stop charging:

  1. While charging, press the back button or press and hold the menu button.
  2. Select the Stop menu item . On the charger the start screen appears again.

WARNING: Always interrupt the charging cycle or power supply to the charger if during the irregularities (e.g. a swollen battery) occur during the charging process.

When charging is complete: The charger will emit a tone to indicate fast charging is complete.

Once the charger has balanced the battery, two double tones will sound.

  1. The main screen will display a green bar at the top to indicate the battery is fully charged and charging is complete.
  2. The total charged capacity and the total charging time are displayed displayed.
  3. Disconnect the battery from the charger. The battery is ready and the start screen reappears on the charger.

If the charger displays an error, follow the on-screen instructions to resolve the error. If applicable, disconnect the battery from the output and equalization terminals, disconnect the power supply and restart the charger.

Warranty and service information

Warning — A radio controlled model is not a toy. If used incorrectly, it can cause serious injury to living beings and damage to property.
Only operate your RC model in free spaces and observe all the instructions in the operating instructions for the model and the remote control.

Warranty Period — Exclusive Warranty Horizon Hobby LLC (Horizon) warrants that the product you purchase will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty period corresponds to the legal provisions of the country in which the product was purchased.

In Germany, the guarantee period is 6 months and the guarantee period is 18 months after the guarantee period. Warranty Limitations — (a) The warranty is extended only to the original purchaser (Purchaser) and is not transferable. The purchaser’s right to repair or replacement under this warranty. Warranty claims will only be accepted if valid proof of purchase is provided. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to determine whether the product is suitable for its capabilities and intended use. (c) Claims of the buyer ¬ It is entirely at your discretion Horizon will determine whether the product found to be under warranty will be repaired or replaced. These are the buyer’s exclusive remedies if a defect is found.

Horizon reserves the right to check all components used that can be included in the warranty case. The decision to repair or replace rests solely with Horizon. The warranty excludes cosmetic defects or defects caused by acts of God, mishandling of the product, misapplication of the product, commercial use or modifications of any kind.

The warranty does not apply to defects resulting from improper installation, mishandling, accident, operation, service, or attempted repairs other than those performed by Horizon.

Also excluded are cases that are due to (vii) a use that violated applicable law, laws or regulations. Returns by the buyer directly to Horizon or one of its national representatives must be in writing.

Limitation of Damages — Horizon shall not be responsible for any direct or indirect consequential damages, loss of income, or commercial loss in any way related to the product, regardless of whether a claim is made under contract, warranty, or warranty.

Furthermore, Horizon will not accept any claims from a warranty case that go beyond the individual value of the product. Horizon has no control over the installation, use, or maintenance of the product or any combination of products selected by the purchaser. Horizon does not warrant or accept claims for consequential injury or damage. With the use and installation of the product, the buyer accepts all the warranty provisions listed without restrictions and reservations.

If you as a buyer are not ready to accept these provisions in connection with the use of the product, you are asked to return the product to the seller in its entirety in an unused condition in the original packaging.

Safety Instructions — This is a high quality hobby product and not a toy. It must be used with care and caution, and requires some mechanical as well as mental ability. Failure to operate the product safely and cautiously could result in significant bodily injury and property damage. This Product is not intended for use by children without parental supervision.

The manual contains safety instructions and regulations as well as instructions for the maintenance and operation of the product. It is essential to read and understand these instructions before initial operation. This is the only way to prevent incorrect handling and avoid accidents with injuries and damage.

Questions, Assistance, and Repairs — Your local dealer and point of sale cannot perform a warranty evaluation without consulting Horizon. This also applies to warranty repairs.

Therefore, in such a case, contact the dealer who will be in touch with Horizon in order to make an informed decision that will help you as soon as possible.

Service and Repair — If your product requires service or repair, contact either your dealer or Horizon directly.

Returns / repairs will only be processed with an RMA number issued by Horizon. You or your specialist dealer will receive this number from technical service. You can find more information on this in the service portal at www. Horizonhobby.de or by calling the Horizon technical service.

Pack the product carefully. Note that the original box is usually not sufficient to avoid damage during shipping. Use a courier service with tracking and insurance, as Horizon will not be responsible for shipping the product until it is accepted.

Please enclose proof of purchase with the product, as well as a detailed description of the error and a list of all the individual components sent in. We also require full warranty and repairs — warranty requests will only be processed if accompanied by an original purchase receipt from an authorized retailer showing the purchaser and date of purchase. If a warranty case is confirmed, the product will be repaired or replaced. This decision rests solely with Horizon Hobby.

Paid repairs — If there is a paid repair, we will prepare a cost estimate that we will send to your dealer. The repair will not be made until we receive approval from the dealer. The price for the repair is to be paid to your dealer. In the case of repairs that are subject to a charge, at least 30 minutes of workshop time and the return shipping costs will be charged. If we do not have a declaration of consent for the repair after 90 days, we reserve the right to destroy the product or recycle it in some other way.

ATTENTION: We only carry out chargeable repairs for electronics and motors. Mechanical repairs, especially for helicopters and RC cars, are extremely expensive and must therefore be carried out by the buyer himself.
