SEVERIN ZB 5593 Ustensile Blender
Stand mixer attachment
Dear Customer,
Before using the appliance, read the following instructions carefully and keep
this manual for future reference. The appliance must only be used by persons
familiar with these instructions.
Structure

Safety instructions
- The attachment may only be used in conjunction with the KM 3896 food processor. Therefore, the safety instructions for KM 3896 also apply.
- When the attachment is used, the mixing bowl with splash guard lid must also be attached, as the mixer also rotates.
- Warning! The blades of the mixing bowl are sharp!Be especially careful when cleaning and emptying the mixing bowl to avoid injuries.
- Caution! Do not fill hot liquids into the mixing bowl.
- Be careful when pouring hot liquids into the mixing bowl, as they may escape from the appliance as sudden steam.
- Clean the accessories immediately after use with warm water with and detergent.
- For more information on cleaning, please refer to the Cleaning and Care section.
- Never let the appliance run without contents.
- Never touch moving parts of the appliance, risk of injury!
- The appliance must be switched off and mains power must be disconnected before mounting, changing, removing accessories or cleaning the appliance. Wait for the motor to come to a complete standstill after switching off.
- The appliance must only be operated with the original accessories provided with it and for the purpose described.
Before using for the first time
Clean the attachment before using it for the first time, as described in Cleaning and Care.
Short operation
This appliance is designed with a short operating time (10 mins), i.e. you can
use it for a maximum of 10 minutes in one go. Then the unit needs to be
switched off for 20 minutes to cool down.
Safety switch
There is a safety switch in the motor housing. Only when the lid is correctly
placed on the mixing bowl and the mixing bowl is correctly placed on the
appliance can the appliance be switched on. Before placing the mixing bowl on
the appliance, always place the lid correctly first.
Operation
- Fill the ingredients into the mixing bowl.
- Fit the lid and lock it in place ( ).
- Fit the plug.
- Remove the cover on top of the food processor.
- Place the mixing bowl on the appliance and lock it clockwise ( ).
- Insert the power plug into a wall socket.
- Set the control knob to the desired speed level between 3 and 8.
- To refill ingredients during mixing, remove the plug. Do not remove the lid from the bowl!
After use
- After use, switch off the appliance and disconnect from mains power.
- Unlock and remove the mixing bowl counter-clockwise ( ).
- Unlock the lid counter-clockwise and remove it ( ).
- Replace the cover.
Cleaning and Care
- Before cleaning, switch off the appliance, disconnect from mains power and wait for the motor to come to a complete standstill.
- Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Clean the accessories immediately after use with warm water with and detergent. Do not clean in a dishwasher.
- For easier cleaning, the blade unit with black bottom section can be unscrewed from the mixing bowl.
- The sealing ring in the blade unit can also be removed. Caution! It is essential to reassemble the gasket after cleaning. Dry thoroughly before reassembling. Caution! The blade is sharp. Place the blade assembly back on the blender jug and lock it in place clockwise until the arrows are facing each other!
Disposal
Devices marked with this symbol must be disposed of separately from your household waste, as they contain valuable materials which can be recycled. Proper disposal protects the environment and human health. Your local authority or retailer can provide information on the matter.
