Safety instructions
  • Do not allow persons unfamiliar with this tool or the instructions to operate the tool.

  • The tool and charger are not intended for use by children or persons with physical, sensory or mental limitations or a lack of experience or knowledge. Otherwise, there is a risk of operating errors and injuries.

  • The tool and charger may be used by children aged 8 or older, or by persons who have physical, sensory or mental limitations or a lack of experience or knowledge if a person responsible for their safety supervises them or has instructed them in the safe operation of the tool and charger and they understand the associated dangers. Otherwise, there is a risk of operating errors and injuries.

  • Supervise children. This will ensure that children are not allowed to play with the tool or the charger.

  • Children must not be allowed to clean or perform maintenance on the tool or charger without supervision.
    Always check the tool, charger, cables and plugs before using the tool. Stop using the tool or charger if you discover any damage. Do not open the tool or the charger yourself, and have it serviced only by a qualified repair technician using only original replacement parts.
    Damaged tools, chargers, cables or plugs increase the risk of electric shock.

  • Do not leave the tool unattended while it is switched on.

  • Protect the tool against heat, e.g. against continuous sunlight, fire, water, and moisture.
    There is a risk of explosion.

  • Do not throw the glue stick into fire.

  • Safely place the tool down after use and let it cool completely before packing it away.
    The hot nozzle can cause damage.

  • Only use chargers recommended by the manufacturer to charge the tool.
    Doing otherwise poses a fire hazard.

  • Keep the charging socket on the tool and on the charger away from other metal objects such as paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects that can create a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.

  • If used incorrectly or if the battery is damaged, flammable liquid may be ejected from the battery. Contact with this liquid should be avoided. If contact accidentally occurs, rinse off with water. If the liquid comes into contact with your eyes, additionally seek medical attention. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.

  • Do not touch the hot nozzle or the silicone cap. There is a risk of burns.

Important safety rules for the charger
  • Do not operate the charger on an easily ignited surface (e.g. paper, textiles, etc.) or in a flammable environment. There is a risk of fire due to the charger heating up during operation.
  • Keep the charger clean. Dirt poses a risk of electric shock.
  • Do not expose the charger to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.

Intended use

The cordless hot glue gun (also named “glue gun”) is the ideal tool for crafts, decorating and making repairs. Suitable for: paper, cardboard, wood, cork, plastics, foam textiles, ceramics, leather, etc. This tool is intended for private use.
The tool is operated with standard 7 mm glue sticks for glue guns, but not with any other sticks.
Any other use is deemed to be a case of misuse. The user and not the manufacturer will be liable for any damage or injuries of any kind caused as a result of this.

Please note that the tool has not been designed for use in commercial, trade or industrial applications. Our warranty will be voided if the tool is used in commercial, trade or industrial applications or for equivalent purposes.

Use

Charging procedure

NOTE: The tool is not fully charged when it leaves the factory. Fully charge the tool before first use.

  1. Insert the charging plug (Fig. 1/ ➏) into the charging socket (Fig. 1/ ➌) and ensure that they are connected correctly (Fig. 2)
  2. Insert the USB plug into the computer’s USB port, or plug in the power adapter and connect the power adapter to the power socket.
  3. When the blue light of the backside LED remains lit; this means the charging is completed.

NOTE: Unplug the power adapter and USB charging cord in time. Do not charge for more than 24 hours continuously

Backside LED (Fig. 1 / ➐):

0–24% 1 blue LED strobe flash
25–49% 2 blue LEDs strobe flashes
50–74% 3 blue LEDs strobe flashes
75–99% 4 blue LEDs strobe flashes
100% 4 blue LEDs remain lit

NOTE: During the charging process, the heating of the tool housing is normal. The tool does not work during charging. If there is no response when the ON/OFF switch is pressed during charging, it is not a tool fault.
NOTE: The tool works best at normal room temperature.

Preparation and operation
  1. Place the glue stick (Fig. 1/ ➍ ) in the opening provided on the back of the tool. Check that a glue stick is fitted properly and only use glue sticks with a diameter of 7 mm.

  2. Press the ON/OFF switch (Fig. 1/ ➋) for approx. 2 seconds.

  3. Red LEDs on the back of the tool will light up to indicate that the tool is heating up.

  4. After approx. 15 seconds’ heating, the tool is now ready for operation. When the temperature is high enough, LEDs will change from red to blue. The tool is ready for operation.

  5. Pull the trigger lever (Fig. 1/ ➒); the glue flows out of the glue nozzle (Fig. 1/ ➊).
    NOTE: If you don’t pull the trigger lever, the power will turn off after 2 minutes.

  6. To switch the tool off again, press the ON/OFF switch briefly just once.
    NOTE: If 4 red LEDs flash, it means you need to insert a new glue stick.

Working with the tool
  1. You can now apply the glue by pulling the trigger lever (Fig.1/ ➒) after the heating-up time.
  2. Press both surfaces together immediately and apply pressure to them.
  3. It takes about 30 seconds for the glue to set.
  4. The tool switches off automatically after approx. 2 minutes of non-use.

CAUTION: If your gluing work is interrupted or finished, always be sure to stand the tool on your worktable. You can pull out the stand bar to help the tool stand upright on your work table as shown in Fig.1. Switch the tool off and allow it to cool down completely before you pack it away.

NOTE: Glue stains on textiles cannot be removed.

Storage, cleaning and maintenance

WARNING: Allow the tool to cool down before you start to clean it. Dispose of glue residue in the appropriate waste containers.
› Wipe the tool with a clean cloth or blow it out with compressed air at low pressure.
› We recommend that you clean the tool immediately each time you have finished using it.
› Clean the tool regularly with a damp cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these could attack the plastic parts of the tool. Ensure that no water can seep into the tool. The ingress of water into the tool increases the risk of an electric shock.

WARNING: Do not store the tool in an environment with temperatures higher than 40 °C.
› Store the tool and accessories in a dark and dry place at above freezing temperatures.
› Store the tool in its original packaging.

Your tool does not need lubricating oil or other maintenance. Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.

Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc. Keep the tool clean, dry and free of oil or grease. The tool is equipped with a lithium-ion rechargeable battery. To obtain the longest possible battery life, the following is recommended:
› Store the tool where the temperature is below 26 °C and free of moisture.
› Store the tool in a 30–50% charged condition.
› Every six months of storage, fully charge the tool and then use it.
WARNING: To avoid serious personal injury, always unplug the charger before cleaning or performing
any maintenance. Never disassemble the tool. Contact your service dealer/distributor or info@daheim.tech for all repairs.

Troubleshooting

Issue Solution
Tool does not start/is not operational Check battery status and charge the

tool by using the USB charging cord (Fig. 1/ ➏) and plugging it into the TYPE C charging socket (Fig. 1/ ➌).
Tool is not working properly (glue does not stick together)| Check the heating time of at least 15 seconds after switching on the tool. When the temperature is high enough, LEDs will change from red to blue. Check that you are using the correct glue sticks with a diameter of 7 mm, which are intended for use with glue guns.
Tool is not working properly (no glue is flowing out of the nozzle)| Check the heating time of at least 15 seconds after switching on the tool. When the temperature is high enough, LEDs will change from red to blue. Make sure that the glue nozzle (Fig. 1/ ➊) is clean and that no remaining glue is blocking the new glue. Also check if enough glue is inserted.

Waste disposal

CAUTION: Battery-operated units that no longer work should not be disposed of with household waste. They are to be collected separately, in accordance with the 2012/19/EU directive for the disposal of electrical and electronic waste, and 2006/66/EC as well as 2013/56/EU directive for the batteries and accumulators and waste batteries and accumulators and sent for proper and environmentally friendly recycling.

Warranty

The warranty period is 2 years and starts on the date of sale to the customer.
We will remedy all kind of defects caused by material damage and/or manufacturing faults. The warranty will be met by repair or replacement of defective parts at our own discretion. Claims under warranty will only be accepted if the tool is sent fully assembled and well packaged complete with cash voucher or invoice to the appropriate dealer within the first six months. Improper use voids the warranty
