ON PROTECTION AGAINST LASER ENERGY EXPOSURE

  • As the laser beam used in this compact disc player is harmful to the eyes, do not attempt to disassemble the casing.
    Stop operation immediately if any liquid or solid object should fall into the cabinet. 3

  • Do not touch the lens or poke at it. If you do, you may damage the lens and the player may not operate properly.

  • Do not put anything in the safety slot. If you do, the laser diode will be ON when the CD door is still open.

  • If the unit is not to be used for a long period of time, make sure that all power sources are disconnected from the unit. Remove all batteries from the battery compartment.

  • This unit employs a laser. The use of controls or adjustment or performance of procedures other than those specified here may result in exposure to hazardous radiation.

ON PLACEMENT

ON CONDENSATION

CONTENTS OF REMOTE

Install / Remove Batteries of Remote
Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of your remote by carefully sliding to open. The battery cover can then be lifted away. Fit the correct batteries (included), referring to the polarity markings. Finally, replace the cover.

NOTES:

  • Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as placing under the sunlight or near a fire.
  • Please make sure the batteries are installed with their correct polarities.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Use only the same type of batteries.
  • Do not dispose of the batteries in fire, battery may explode or leak.
  • Do not recharge a non-rechargeable battery.

POWER SOURCE

AC POWER OPERATION
Plug the included AC-DC adapter into the standard AC power outlet to power. Connect small end to DC INPUT jack of the back of the unit.
After that, press the POWER switch to on position to power up the unit in standby mode and the display turn on and show 12:00 flashing.

Note: When the unit is not operated for long periods of time, unplug the AC adapter from the unit and wall outlet.

SETTING THE CLOCK

The LED DISPLAY will show 12:00 and flashing the unit is plugged in for the first time and goes into standby mode.

Setting the Time:

  1. In standby mode, press and hold the CLOCK SET button on the remote until the hour digits will blink on the LED display.

  2. Repeatedly tap the ⏮button or ⏭button to set the hour.

    Note: The PM indicator on the left of the LED DISPLAY will light when the hour is set to PM and will be off when the hour is set to AM

  3.  Press the CLK SET button to confirm and the minute digits will blink.

  4. Repeatedly tap the ⏮button or ⏭button to set the minute. Press and hold the buttons for fast reverse/advance setting.

    The display will stop blinking.

Notes:

  • The unit will automatically save the settings and exit the time set mode if you do not tap the CLK SET BUTTON within 10 seconds.
  • If a power outage occurs, the unit will provide 30 minutes power to keeps the clock settings.
RADIO OPERATION

Listening to the radio:

  1. Tap the POWER button to turn the unit on.
  2. Tap the SOURCE button repeatedly to select FM radio mode
  3. The FM indicator will turn on and the frequency will show on the LED display.
  4. Tap the SKIP BACKWARD button or SKIP FORWARD button to adjust frequency.
  5. Press and hold the SKIP BACKWARD button or SKIP FORWARD button to search for the previous or next available FM station.
  6. If the reception is poor, try Manual Tuning to fine-tune the station. Tap the SKIP BACKWARD button or SKIP FORWARD button briefly to manually tune through the frequency band.
  7. Tap the VOLUME – button or VOLUME + button to obtain the desired volume level
  8. When you have finished listening, tap the POWER button to turn the radio off.

To set the radio presets
The unit allows you to store up to 20 FM stations for easy recall at any time.

  1. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
  2. Tap SOURCE button repeatedly to select FM radio mode.
  3. The FM indicator will turn on and the frequency will show on the LED display.
  4. Tap the SKIP BACKWARD button or SKIP FORWARD button to select the desired station.
  5. Tap the MEM button until “P01” flash and shows on the LED DISPLAY.
  6. Tap the SKIP BACKWARD button or SKIP FORWARD button to select a preset number (P01-P20).
  7. Press the MEM BUTTON again to confirm the preset.
  8. Repeat steps 4 through 6 to preset up to 20 stations.

Recall a preset station
To recall one of the preset stations already programmed, tap the M- button or M+ buttonrepeatedly until you reach the desired preset number/radio station.

TIPS FOR BEST RADIO RECEPTION

  • FM – If FM reception is weak, fully extend the wire antenna and vary the position and location of the antenna until you find the strongest signal.
    Note: You can overwrite a present station by storing another frequency in its place.
CD OPERATION

PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
CD mechanisms used in devices like this are designed to fully read all commercial CDs.

  1. Tap the POWER button to turn the unit on.
  2. Tap the SOURCE button repeatedly to select CD mode, the display will show “- – -“ briefly. If no CD has been loaded in the CD compartment, LED display will change to show “no”.
  3. Tap the OPEN/CLOSE button, the CD tray of the unit will stick out.
  4. Carefully load an audio CD with its label side upward in the CD tray then tap the OPEN/CLOSE button to close the tray
  5. The player will start reading TOC of the disc, total number of tracks on the CD will appear on the LED DISPLAY after a few seconds.
  6. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playing.
  7. Tap the VOLUME – button or VOLUME + button to obtain the desired volume level
  8. To temporarily stop playing, press the PLAY/PAUSE button. The play/pause indicator will be flashing. To resume playing, press the PLAY/PAUSE button again. The play/pause indicator will be solid on.
  9. You can skip up or down to a specific track number by pressing the SKIP BACKWARD button or SKIP FORWARD button. The LED Display will indicate the correct track number selected.
  10. To locate a particular section within a track, press and hold the button until the section is found.
  11. To stop playing, press the STOP button.
  12. Tap the POWER BUTTON to turn off the unit after listening

Note: In standby mode, tap OPEN/CLOSE button can quick into CD mode

REPEAT MODE

Repeat 1
To repeat the current track, press the REPEAT button once, the REP 1 INDICATOR is lighted briefly. The track will continue to play until the repeat function is turned off.

Repeat All
To repeat all the tracks, press the REPEAT button twice, the REP ALL INDICATOR is lighted briefly. All the tracks on the disc will be played repeatedly.
To Cancel Repeat Function: Press the REPEAT button until REPEAT indicator goes off from LED display.

PROGRAM OPERATION
This function allows the tracks to be played in a programmed sequence.

NOTE: Programs can be set in STOP mode.

  1. In CD stop mode, press PROGRAM button, the PROG indicator flash and Program Number “P01” will show on LED display.
  2. Press the SKIP ⏮or ⏭ button to select the desired track. The track number “1” will blink on the LED display to prompt for input.
  3. Press the PROGRAM button to confirm the selection. Program Number advances to “P02”.
  4. Repeat step 2 to 3 to program up to maximum of 20 tracks.
  5. When maximum of 20 tracks have been programmed, the LED display will show “FUL” to indicate program is full.
  6. When you have completed programming, press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playing. Both PROG and Play/Pause indicators are lighted briefly.
  7. To cancel programmed play, press the STOP button twice. PROG indicator goes off.
BLUETOOTH OPERATION

PAIRING A SMARTPHONE OR BLUETOOTH ENABLED DEVICE
The Bluetooth feature enables you to stream and play the digital music on your Bluetooth enabled device to your unit.

  1. Tap the POWER button to turn the unit on.
  2. Tap the SOURCE button repeatedly to select AUX IN mode, the Bluetooth indicator will flash.
  3. Turn on the Bluetooth function of your Bluetooth enabled device and enable the search or scan feature to find “Aiwa AI6006” in the list of discoverable Bluetooth devices.
  4. Select the “Aiwa AI6006” from your available device list when it appears on its screen. If required, enter the pass code “0000” to pair (link) AI66006 with your device.
  5. After pairing AI6006 with your Bluetooth device successfully, the unit will emit a brief welcome melody and the Bluetooth indicator will change to solid on.
  6. You can now play music from your Bluetooth enabled device wirelessly to the AI6006.
  7. Press the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON⏸◀ to control play/pause.
  8. Press the SKIP FORWARD⏮ BUTTON to skip to next song and SKIP BACKWARD⏭ Button to skip to previous song.
  9. Adjust the VOLUME CONTROL on the side knob to increase the listening volume gradually until a comfortable listening level is reached
  10. If you want AI6006 change to pair with another Bluetooth device, press and hold the PAIR button, the Bluetooth indicator will flash. The unit will go into pairing/Discoverable mode.
    Repeat steps #3 to #4 above to make a new link.

Notes:

  1. If your Bluetooth enabled device does not support A2DP, it will not play the music through the AI6006 system even after it is paired and connected successfully.
  2. If you are pairing and connecting your personal computer to the AI6006 using Bluetooth, you may need to set the AI6006 as your computer’s default sound device.
AUXILIARY INPUT OPERATION

You can play other music sources (iPod, MP3 or other digital audio players) through the speakers of the unit by connecting the AUX IN JACK to your external player’s audio out jack or headphone jack.

  1. Plug one end of an audio cable (not included) into the AUX IN JACK located at the back of the unit and the other end of the cable to the headphone jack of your digital audio player.
  2. Tap the POWER button to turn the unit on
  3. Tap the SOURCE button repeatedly to select AUX IN mode, the AUX indicator will light.
  4. Turn on and start playing the external device you plugged into the AUX IN JACK.
  5. Slowly adjust both the volume controls of your unit and the external device until you reach a comfortable listening level.

Notes:

  • If you connect the unit to the Line-Out Jack of your external device, you only need to adjust the VOLUME CONTROL of your unit. If you connect to the Headphone Jack of your external device, you may need to adjust both the volume controls of your external device and the unit to obtain the desirable listening level.
  • Remember to turn off the unit when you have finished listening. Don’t forget to switch off the power of your external audio device as well.
OPTICAL IN OPERATION
  1. Plug one end of an optical cable (not included) into the OPTICAL JACK located at the back of the unit and the other end of the cable to the optical out jack of your digital audio player.
  2. Tap the POWER button to turn the unit on
  3. Tap the SOURCE button repeatedly to select OPTICAL IN mode, the OPTICAL indicator will light.
  4. Turn on and start playing the external device you plugged into the OPTICAL IN JACK.
  5. Slowly adjust both the volume controls of your unit and the external device until you reach a comfortable listening level.

Notes: Remember to turn off the unit when you have finished listening. Don’t forget to switch off the power of your external audio device as well.

CONNECT HEADPHONE or EARPHONE (NOT INCLUDED)

Inserting the plug of your stereo headphones (low impedance 32 ohm, 3.5mm plug, not included) into the headphone jack located on the rear panel will enable you to listen in private. When using headphones/earphone, the speakers will be disconnected.Solar-Bright-Industrial-AI6006-Exos-Home-

Read this Important Information before Using Your Headphones

  1. Avoid extended play at very high volume as it may impair your hearing.
  2. If you experience ringing in your ears, reduce the volume or shut off the unit. Keep the volume at a reasonable level even if your headset is an open-air type designed to allow you to hear.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE

COMPACT DISC CARE

  • Handle the disc only by its edges. Never allow your fingers to come in contact with the shiny, unprinted side of the disc.
  • Do not attach adhesive tape, stickers etc., to the disc label.
  • Clean the disc periodically with soft, lint-free, dry cloth. Never use detergents or adhesive cleaners to clean the disc. If necessary, use a CD cleaning kit.
  • If disc skips or gets stuck on a section of the disc, it is probably dirty or damaged (scratched).
  • When cleaning the disc, wipe in straight lines from the center of the disc to the edge of the disc. Never wipe in circular motions.
  • To remove a disc from its storage case, press down on the center of the case and lift the disc outs, holding it carefully by the edges.
  • Fingerprints and dust should be carefully wiped off the disc’s recorded surface with a soft cloth. Unlike conventional records. compact discs have no grooves to collect dust and microscopic debris so gently wiping with a soft cloth should remove most particles.

CLEANING THE UNIT

  • To prevent fire or shock hazard, disconnect your unit from the AC power source when cleaning.
  • The finish on the unit may be cleaned with a dust cloth and cared for as other furniture, Use caution when cleaning and wiping the plastic parts.
  • If the cabinet becomes dusty wipe it with a soft dry dust cloth. Do not use any wax or polish sprays on the cabinet.
  • If the front panel becomes dirty or smudged with fingerprints it may be cleaned with a soft cloth slightly dampened with a mild soap and water solution. Never use abrasive cloths or polishes as these will damage the finish of your unit.

CAUTION: Never allow any water or other liquids to get inside the unit while cleaning.

TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE

If you are using an external sound source like older generation of iPod, try reducing the output volume on the device itself. Also try turning bass boost OFF or change the EQ setting.

Unit gets warm after extended play at high volume| This is normal.| Turn the unit off for a period of time or lower volume
