SECURITY RECOMMENDATIONS

Important:
Please read the instructions and comply with all requirements and warnings provided in the manual before using the product. Failure to comply with the warnings and instructions may result in misuse of the product putting the product and yourself at risk.

Warnings:

1. This product is designed for indoor use. Do not use it in high humidity environments.
2. Under no circumstances install the Wi-Fi LED strip near flammable fuels. During normal use, it may become hot.
3. If the product is damaged when unpacked, please request an exchange at the place of purchase. Before installing the product, make sure it is in perfect condition.
4. Do not subject the product to external forces.
5. This product should be stored in a cool and dry place and should not be exposed to water and fire.
6. Lighting products such as bulbs or LED strips that are burnt out or no longer in use should be disposed of at specially designated recycling points designated by local authorities.
7. Please confirm that the voltage matches the working voltage of this product before use. Improper voltage may damage the product and cause safety hazards.
8. The light source of this product cannot be replaced.
9. The light strip will generate heat, please keep the air flow for better heat dissipation.
10. Do not bend the LEDs of the strip light more than 90 degrees to avoid damaging the product.
11. Do not use the product near water to avoid damage or unexpected circumstances.
12. Keep out of the reach of children.
13. Do not exceed the maximum extended distance of the strip light.

Introduction

• This product works best in a dark environment.
• This product can be used on the TV or monitor, in playgrounds, etc.
• By using the screen detection mode, the LED strip will automatically reproduce the colours captured on the screen. You can control the LED strip via the muvit iO Home App.

Wi-Fi brightness setting/reset

1. Press: adjust brightness.
2. Press and hold: (brightness adjustment/Wi-Fi reset) for 8s, the indicator light on the remote will flash rapidly (twice a second), indicating that the Wi-Fi reset is done and the device is ready to pair(the previously added smart light strip will be removed).

LED light indicator

1. Fast flashing: 2 blinks every second, EZ pairing mode.
2. Slow flashing: 1 blink every 2 seconds, AP pairing mode.
3. Fixed: different colours and music mode.
4. Slow blinking (breathing): Colour and light detection mode.

Note: this product has a memory function, it stays in any mode before power off, and will automatically return to the mode before power off after power on again.

Installation on TV
Before attaching the LED strip to the TV/monitor, it is advisable to make the connections and check that they work correctly. On both the connector and the strip there is a mark that indicates which side the “+” (positive) should be on, it is important that it coincides in all the connections, otherwise there will be sections with different colour or without colour.

1. Clean the area where you want to install the light strip and keep it clean.
2. Stick the LED strip light to the back or edge of your TV or monitor, use the connector to hold the strip light to the edge at the corners. Please attach the LED strip light carefully.
3. Firmly and correctly connect the strip light connector on the controller to the strip light with the polarity facing in the same + and – direction.
4. Remove the adhesive tape from the back of the controller and place the controller in position. Connect the colour sensor plug to the connector on the controller.
5. Install and vertically attach the colour sensor to the left or right side of the display with the head of the colour sensor and the edge of the device vertically aligned.
6. After installation is complete, connect the device to a power source. If the strip is reset or blocked the App uses a 2A power adapter to power the LED strip. Ready for use.

USE OF THE APPLICATION

1. Download the application “muvit Io Home”.
   To download the App, you can scan the QR code below. You can also search for “muvit Io Home” in the App Store or Google Play.

2. Register
   If you do not have an account you will have to create one from within the App. Open the App, select “Create account”; the system will automatically recognise your country, if it is not correct, please change it. Enter your email address and click “Get verification code”; after a few seconds you will receive an email at the same address with a 6-digit PIN code; copy it and then you will have to enter a password of 6 to 20 characters to create the account. Click “Save” to complete the registration.

3. Add device
   Connect via Bluetooth (recommended):
   Turn on Bluetooth and Location on your phone. Once the App is open press “+” or “Add device” if the Wi-Fi controller indicator is flashing, you will get a screen to say it has detected a new device, hit “Go to add”, “Add”, select your Wi-Fi network from the App, enter the password and click “Next”. Follow the application steps to finish the installation.

Note: despite making the connection via Bluetooth, the device will connect to the router’s Wi-Fi network, allowing you to control the device from anywhere at any time. If the New Device Detected screen does not appear, close the application completely and open it again.

Connection via EZ Mode (standard):
Activate Phone Location. Once the application is open, press” + “or “Add device”, select the purchased product to enter the installation wizard. Check that the Wi-Fi controller indicator flashes quickly, if not, follow the App prompts to reset it, tick the “Flashing quickly” tick and press “Next”. Enter the password, click “Next” to enter the network connection process and follow the instructions of the application to finish the installation.

Note: due to possible updates of the application, the installation process of the product may change. Please follow the instructions in the App itself for correct installation.

Control of the device
After successfully configuring the device, it will be displayed on the “Devices” page. Click on the device icon to control on/off, brightness setting and timers.

Link a “muvit iO Home” account with Alexa
Tap “Skills & Games” in the home menu, then search for “muvit iO Home”. Select “muvit iO Home” and tap “ENABLE USE” to activate the skill.

You will be redirected to the account link page. Enter your “muvit iO Home” account and your password, don’t forget to select the country/region your account belongs to. Then tap “Link now” to link your muvit iO Home account. The country/region, account and password is the same as the one you used to sign up for the muvit Io Home App. If the application asks you to choose between several applications, you will have to select the “muvit iO Home” App, click “Link now” and then “Authorise” to complete the installation. Tap “X” at the top left of the page to return to the Alexa application.

Alexa needs to find your smart devices before it can control them. Click on “DETECT DEVICES”, wait for the search to finish and hit “DONE”.

You can also say “Alexa, discover devices” to Echo. Echo will search for devices that have already been added in the muvit iO Home App.

Note: Each time you change the device name in the muvit iO Home App, Echo must rediscover the device before controlling it.

Device control via voice commands
You can now control your smart devices via Alexa. You can use the following commands to control your devices (e.g. living room LED strip light):
“Alexa, turn on/off living room LED strip light”.

Quick guide to using Google Home to control the Wi-Fi LED strip light

Link a “muvit iO Home” account with Google
Open the muvit iO Home App, click on “Profile”, ”Google Assistant”; click on “Get”, “Copy” and go to the Google Home App. Click on “+”, “Configure device”, “Works with Google”. Find the “muvit iO Home” skill and paste the PIN you copied earlier into the muvit App; click on the arrow and click “Authorise”.

Once the account link has been established, you will be able to see all the smart devices in your muvit iO Home App account in the Google Home App. You can assign rooms for each device.
Device control via voice commands You can now use Google Home to control your smart devices, using voice commands such as:
“Ok Google, turn on/off the living room strip light”.

TROUBLESHOOTING AND/OR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What should I do if the device configuration process has failed?

• Check that the Wi-Fi LED strip light is on.
• Check if your mobile device is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, in the name of the Wi-Fi network (SSID) you should not put “Plus” or “5G”. If you have any doubts, you can contact your operator or our technical support to verify the network.
• Check if the connected devices of the router reach the maximum allowed limit. Please try to turn off the Wi-Fi function of some devices and reconfigure the strip light.
• Check if the wireless MAC filtering function of the router is enabled. Remove the device from the filter list and make sure that the router is not prohibiting the connection to the Wi-Fi LED strip.
• Make sure that the password of your Wi-Fi network entered in the application is correct, to do this, go to your phone or tablet’s settings, click on “Wi-Fi”, select your network, give it to forget and reconnect with your network’s password.
• Make sure the Wi-Fi LED strip is in pairing mode: the LED on the controller flashes (twice per second) for EZ Mode configuration and flashes (once every three seconds) for AP Mode configuration.
• Repeat the configuration process.
• Factory reset the Wi-Fi LED strip light and try to add it again.

Can I control the device via 2G/3G/4G mobile network?
The LED strip and the mobile device must be under the same Wi-Fi network when the LED Wi-Fi strip light is added for the first time. After successful configuration of the device, you can control it remotely via 2G/3G/4G mobile network.

How can I share my device with my family?
Open the application, select the product, click on the pencil at the top right, click on “Share device”, “Add”, select one of the 3 methods shown in the application and follow the App’s instructions.

How to reset this device?
Factory reset: after plugging the led strip into a power socket, press and hold the on/off button for 8s for factory reset until the light flashes rapidly.
Wi-Fi controller status LED:

• Fast flashing (twice per second): EZ Mode setting is initiated.
• Slow flashing (once every three seconds): AP Mode setting is initiated.

Light is off/flickering/flickering/flashing/losing some colour/inconsistent colour/App is locked/ LED strip is reset
Check if the connection between the LED strip light and the connector is correct.
Make sure it is fully inserted.
If the light illuminates normally, the problem may be due to incorrect power output or low voltage, uses a 5V and 2A power adapter.

The light does not work in auto-detect mode
Check if the light is set to auto-detect mode by confirming that the indicator on the controller is in the breathing state.

Light does not change in colour sensing mode
Check that the colour sensor is correctly installed in the display with the correct installation procedure.

The light flickers after turning off the TV set.
Press the ON/OFF button on the App to turn off the LED strip, or unplug the USB port of the strip light.

In the process of using this product, if the TV displays a voltage warning, or the screen goes black and turns off.
It may be that the USB port of the TV has output limitation. It is recommended to connect the adapter (5V 2A) with the USB interface of the controller to supply power to the LED strip.

To make this warranty effective, no further requirements should be demanded than the shipment of this product together with this warranty and the invoice or proof of purchase.
The warranty may be claimed at the place of purchase.

This warranty shall not be valid in the following cases:
When the details on the warranty or proof of purchase do not match the product.
When the product has been used in other than normal conditions or if it is used in disregard of the instruction manual accompanying this warranty document.
