Preparation
Material losses
► Note the maximum load-bearing capacity of the support (see chapter
“Specification / Data table”).
► Ensure that the wall is able to bear the weight of the outdoor unit plus the
wall mounting bracket.
Note
If you are unsure about the load-bearing capacity of the wall, please consult
a structural engineer.
Material losses
If the load-bearing capacity of the wall cannot be guaranteed, do not use the
wall mounting bracket.
► Select suitable screws and rawl plugs to secure the system rails on the
wall.
Material losses
► For the following installation steps observe the required clearance
dimensions. For information, see the operating and installation instructions
of the outdoor unit (chapter “Dimensions and connections”).
Note
To prevent disturbance due to structure-borne noise transmission, do not
install the wall mounting bracket on the external walls of living areas or
bedrooms.
► Install the wall mounting bracket on a garage wall, for example.
Note
To facilitate installation and maintenance work, we recommend a maximum
installed height of 1 m.
► Mark out the positions of the holes to be drilled on the wall; for this,
hold the system rails against the wall at the required installation height.
Material losses
► Ensure that no electrical cables or water pipes can be damaged by drilling
the holes.
Installation
Note
The installation steps are illustrated using the WK 2 wall mounting bracket.
The WK 1 is installed in the same way.
► Ensure that, for the WK 1, the open end of the rail support is facing
upwards.
4.1 Wall mounting bracket
► Insert the screws through the washers into the rail supports.
► Secure the screws with the slide nuts. Ensure that the knurled sides of the
slide nuts are facing the screws.
► Wind the screws into the slide nuts by a couple of turns.
► Guide the rail supports to the top end of the system rails. For this, hold
the rail supports against the open side of the system rails.
► Slide the rail supports over the system rails by inserting the slide nuts
into the system rails.
► Ensure that the slide nuts are aligned at right angles to the system rails.
► Pull the rail supports along the system rails to the required height.
► Tighten the screws by hand.
4.2 Securing the bracket to the wall
Note
► For the position of the top retaining clip, refer to the specified dimension
in the dimensioned drawing (see chapter “Specification/dimensions”). The
position of the bottom retaining clip may vary in the area of the slots.
► Drill the holes.
► Insert rawl plugs into the holes.
► Position the retaining clips on the system rails.
► Insert the screws through the retaining clips and system rails. Secure the
system rails to the wall.
Material losses
► Ensure that the wall mounting bracket is flush with the wall.
► Use a spirit level to check that the rail supports are horizontally and
vertically level.
► If required, level the rail supports by undoing and tightening the screws.
► Tighten the screws in the wall.
► Tighten the screws on the connection between the rail support and the system
rail.
4.3 Transport
Heat pump for WK 2 ****
Note
Lifting straps to transport the appliance can be hooked into the area
highlighted in grey at the bottom of the support frame.
4.4 Securing the outdoor unit
Material losses
► Ensure that the outdoor unit does not slip from the wall mounting bracket
during installation.
Note
Standard delivery includes two different assemblies with anti-vibration
mounts.
► For installation at the back on the underside of the appliance, use the
assembly that has a prefitted anti-vibration mount in the center.
► Unscrew the appliance feet from the outdoor unit. Dispose of the appliance
feet.
- Assembly for installation at the back on the underside of the appliance
- Assembly for installation at the front on the underside of the appliance
► Slightly loosen the screws of the slide nuts.
► Ensure that the slide nuts are aligned in parallel to the connector rails.
Ensure that the knurled sides of the slide nuts are facing the screws.
► Fit the assemblies to the appliance. ► Mount the appliance with the
assemblies on the rail supports.
► Align the appliance on the rail supports. ► Press down the plastic retainers
with the screws.
► Turn the connections a quarter turn.
► Ensure that the slide nuts are at right angles to the rail supports.
► Tighten all screws.
► Attach the end caps to the ends of the wall mounting bracket.
