HOW TO APPROVE PHOTOS
In the top-right corner, click the settings symbol. Click on “Privacy Settings.” A prompt will ask you whether you want to set your frame for sending approval to “Private” or “Open.”
HOW TO GET PICTURES OFF A SKYLIGHT FRAME
Use your personal email address and your Skylight account password to access the portal (you set this up when you activated the frame). To download a photo or video from a frame, click on its name. You can download a photo or video by clicking on it. In the top right corner, click “Download.”

Can you slow down the speed the photos change?****
Yes, it allows from a 5 second to a 240 second delay.
Is there a blocking feature for specific emails? ( example: family member starts spamming frame. Sending too many photos on a regular basis. )****
Yes, you can set it so you have to approve before it is loaded on the frame.
Can the frame travel and change Wi-Fi?****
Yes, the frame can be moved from location to location and you can connect it to a new Wi-Fi network at the new location. If you bring it back to the old location it will remember the Wi-Fi password and automatically reconnect.
Can you export pictures from the frame? does it support USB?****
No. The ports don’t do anything. They have an annual subscription that allows you to export the photos. Or you can request people cc your normal email, which is what I do.
What type of authentication do the frames use to access the cloud? Certificate? Password? If password, can the user set the password?****
You setup a web account using an email/password login (from any computer/phone/tablet). You then create an email address for sending pictures to the frame ([email protected]). The frame contacts the server and displays a number. You type the number into the web app to connect the frame to the web account/email address. This is a 1-time operation and there is no further authentication needed from the frame.

Is there a monthly charge for the service to upload the photos?****
No, it’s free forever to upload photos by email. Does it have a sleep mode?
It does have a sleep mode, you just touch the screen and it pops up with the other options. You can set it to shut off at night and turn back on in the morning, whatever time you want.
My skylight frame won’t connect to Wi-Fi. keeps stating “Wi-Fi refused.” the password is correct. any suggestions?****
We had the same problem. Skylight wouldn’t connect with our home network router. Followed another posters advice got an inexpensive netgear ex2700 network extender here on amazon fir $15. Then connected the frame to the new extended network (old existing network still there). Works great. Kept all other devices on the non-extended network so didn’t have to reenter PW for those.

Will this connect to internet outside the US? I’m concerned about any regional blocks.
I haven’t had any trouble connecting it overseas (Japan).
How many individual pictures can be set up to rotate for viewing?****
I imagine that’s in the instruction pamphlet but, I add more pictures all of the time. I think it’s endless. Some others you have to add GB but not this one.

Can you locate photos by date? Is there a way to locate photos by names, events, etc. to find photos quickly?****
Not that I’m aware of, but there is a “gallery” option that allows you to glance at all photos as thumbnails. It’s an awesome product! I have one and I’ve given several away as gifts. People love them!
