IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • The electric water kettle must only be plugged into 220-240 volt outlets in wall.
  • The kettle becomes warm during use and should be held by handle only.
  • The kettle must not be placed near open flame or other heat source such as stove top, fireplace, etc.
  • Fill water only up to the “MAX” level as indicated on the kettle.
  • If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
  • The kettle needs to be used with the attached power base. The power base cannot be used for other purposes.
  • Place the water kettle on a dry and smooth surface to prevent sliding.
  • Remember! Do not turn the kettle on until water has been added.
  • Never add any other liquids than water.
  • Remember! The lid must always be on during heating.
  • Do not pull the cord when attempting to unplug the kettle. Hold the plug.
  • Never leave the cord hanging from a table or other storage area.
  • Always unplug the kettle after use and during cleaning.
  • Never immerse the kettle or the base in water or other liquid during cleaning.
  • Do not use the kettle outdoors.
  • If the kettle is used for other purpose than that recommended, or is used in a way that conflicts with the user guide, the user carries the full responsibility for possible damage that can occur.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Is there damage to the device or that it does not work, it must be serviced only by authorized personnel.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
  • Appliance can be used by persons with  reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given super vision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.
  • This product is intended for private household use and not for commercial use.

USER DIRECTIONS

During first time use, pour out the first batch of boiling water to dispose of dust and other impurities.

  1. Fill water through the designated opening
  2. Never fill less than 0.5 litre of water to avoid boiling dry. Also, never fill more than MAX of water.
  3. Close the lid.
  4. Unplug the kettle from the wall outlet.
  5. Push the power switch.
  6. The lamp will light when the kettle is switched on.
  7. When the water starts boiling, the safety feature automatically turns the kettle off.
  8. Remember! If the kettle is lifted off its base, it will automatically shut off, and the boiling will stop. It can be restarted after 30 seconds by pushing in the power switch.
  9. Lift the pot from its base before attempting to pour from it.
  10. Unplug the heater from the outlet and let the pot cool off before moving it.
  11. Remember! If you wish to interrupt the boiling process, simply set the power switch to zero.

CLEANING

  1. Unplug the kettle.
  2. Do not immerse the base and kettle in water or any other liquids.
  3. If the pot is dirty, use a mild cleaning agent.
  4. Do not use any sharp objects.

Damage caused by calcium deposits is not covered by warranty.

DESCALING

  • Fill the kettle with 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water and boil or allow it to stand overnight.
  • Empty solution from kettle and fill kettle with clean water and boil.
  • Discard the boiled water as it might contain remains of vinegar
  • Rinse kettle with clean water.

We recommend descaling to be done regularly, it should be done with the following intervals;

  • Water with low content of lime: every 3-4 months
  • Water with medium content of lime: every 4-6 week
  • Water with high content of lime: every 2-4 week

GUARANTEE

Wilfa issues a 5 year guarantee on this product from the day of purchase is done. The guarantee covers production failure or defects that arise during the guarantee period. Your purchase receipt works as proof towards retailer if claiming your guarantee.

The guarantee is valid only for products that are bought and used in private households. The guarantee is not valid if the product is used commercially.
The guarantee is not valid if the product is misused, used by negligence, if not following instructions given by Wilfa, if modified or if unauthorized reparation is done. The guarantee is also not valid for normal wear of the product, misuse, lack of maintenance, use of wrong electrical voltage or:

  • Not descaled according to instruction manual
  • Overloading of product
