Users must read this manual carefully before using the equipment, and follow the instructions and procedures in order to be aware of all the precautions, as well as in order to obtain the maximum benefits and duration of the equipment.

Warranty
The BASIC magnetic stirrer without heater has a 24 month warranty from the date of the purchase for material and/or production faults if used as described in this manual. The warranty may only be extended to the original purchaser. This warranty is not applied to the equipment or to any part damaged due to a bad installation, bad connections, wrong use, accident, or abnormal use conditions. For claims about the warranty, please contact your supplier/manufacturer.
Safety Instructions
Connect the equipment to a grounded power supply to ensure the safety of the equipment and the experiment. Connect the power when the equipment requires it. The use of this equipment in inflammable and explosive, toxic, or highly corrosive experiments is forbidden. Place the magnetic stirrer on a flat, horizontal, and stable table, leaving at least 30 cm of free space on each side. The magnetic stirrer must be used only by previously qualified staff that is familiar with the equipment and knows how to operate it according to the instructions manual. Caution –the stirrer can have magnetic effects and the staff must keep in mind the magnetic field; for example, in cases like data storage, artificial pacemakers… Do not place the magnetic stirrer near heat sources.
- Make sure that only trained staff operates this equipment.
- Always use this stirrer as specified in this manual.
- In case of abnormal conditions during the operation of the stirrer, please turn OFF the equipment immediately and contact your supplier/manufacturer.
- Keep away from high magnetic fields.
- While using the equipment, use personal protective equipment to prevent the risks from:
- Splashing and evaporation of liquids
- Release of toxic or flammable gases
- Place the equipment on a spacious, stable, clean, non-slip, dry, and fireproof surface that can support the weight of the equipment.
- Do not use the equipment in explosive or flammable environments, or with hazardous materials.
- Increase the stirring speed gradually. Reduce the speed if:
- The stirring bar comes off due to high speed
- The equipment is not running smoothly or the container moves on the base plate
- The equipment can only be disconnected from the power supply by pulling out the mains plug.
- Make sure that the power supply’s voltage matches the necessary voltage for this instrument.
Use Instructions
This equipment is designed for stirring and/or heating substances with educational purposes, in laboratories, or in factories. This equipment is not suitable for use in residential areas or other areas that could be dangerous for the user.

Unpacking
Unpack the equipment carefully and check for any apparent damages that may
have arisen from transportation. If necessary, please contact your supplier.

If there is any apparent damage to the equipment, do not plug it into the
power line.

Operating
Note: Increase the stirring speed gradually to prevent splashing from liquids or the magnetic bat coming off the vessel.
- Place the equipment on a flat, stable surface that can support the weight of the equipment leaving 30 free cm on each side.
- Using the power adapter, plug in the equipment.
- Turn the speed control knob clockwise to turn on the stirrer; you will hear a light sound and the Power LED will light up (blue).
- Increase the stirring speed by turning the speed control knob clockwise. Reduce the speed by turning the speed control knob counterclockwise.
- The stirrer’s speed range is from 300 rpm to 2000.
- Turn OFF the equipment by turning the speed control knob all the way counterclockwise; you will hear a light sound and, at the same time, the Power LED will turn off.
Faults
- The equipment cannot be switched ON
- Make sure the power supply is working.
- Make sure the cable is plugged in.
- The stirring speed cannot reach the programmed speed:
- Excessive medium viscosity may cause an abnormal speed reduction.
- If these faults are not resolved, contact the supplier/manufacturer.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Proper maintenance can keep Instruments working and lengthen their lifetime.
- Do not spray cleanser directly onto the equipment when cleaning it.
- Disconnect the equipment from the power supply when cleaning.
- Use only the recommended cleansers for each situation:

Before using any other cleaning or decontamination methods, verify with the manufacturer or supplier that such method will not harm the equipment. Always use proper protective gloves while cleaning.
Note
- Electronic devices may not be cleaned with cleanser.
- If maintenance service is needed, the equipment must be cleaned prior to shipping, to avoid pollution from hazardous substances, and shipped in its original packaging.
- If the equipment will not be used for a long time, power off and place in a dry, clean, stable location at room temperature.
