This instrument is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service, for a period of 12 months from the date of invoice. The warranty is extended only to the original purchaser. It shall not apply to any product or parts which have been damaged on account of improper installation, improper connections, misuse, accident or abnormal conditions of operation. For claim under the warranty please contact your supplier.

  • The sterilizer is not intended for use with scalpels, forceps or any sharp objects. The use of such objects can cause element malfunction.

  • Note that the heat shield or end caps remains hot even after the sterilizer is turned off, ensure to avoid any contact with these parts.
  • Allow sufficient time for the heat element to cool down prior to cleaning, service or transport and check the unit is turned off

  • The sterilizing time for the articles like inoculation loops/ needles should not be too long; otherwise the lifespan of the sterilizing articles will be shortened because of the high temperature of the handles.

  • Connect the device to an earthed power supply to ensure the safety of the machine and the experiment; connect the power as the machine requires it.

  • This sterilizer is designed for laboratory usage only.
  • The instrument shall not be modified or altered in any way. Any modification or alteration will void the warranty, void the regulatory certifications and create a potential safety hazard.
  • It is strongly recommended that the instrument should work for no more than three hours in the highest temperature (850-930℃).
  • We are not responsible for any injury or damage caused by using the instrument for any non-intended purpose, or modifying the instrument by any person who is not authorized.

Inspection

Unpack the equipment carefully and check for any damages which may have arisen during transport. Please contact your supplier for technical support.

Installation

  1. Check voltage specified on the nameplate that is on the bottom. Make sure that it matches the line voltage in your location.
  2. Install the instrument in a clean, dust-less and ventilated area under 40℃.
  3. Keep at least 10 cm of spare space around the instrument.
  4. There are two screws under the sterilizer housing, there is also one nut for each screw. Let the screws pass through the round hole and ellipse hole of holding rack. Then lock the nuts on the screws by hex wrench.
    Installation

Operation

  • Insert the power plug on the back into the proper jack following the instruction attached. Make sure the power jack has a ground wire. When the power is on, the blue light in the front of the mainframe will become bright.
  • Press the power switch on the right side of the instrument. As the heating indicator light in the front turns red, the instrument is on. Adjust graduation mark on the temperature knob rightwards to the horizontal position, and then in 12 minutes, the heated antrum can reach 850℃. The temperature can be freely adjusted with the knob. The maximum sterilizing temperature is 930℃. As the instrument reaches its maximum temperature, the sterilization can be finished in two seconds. And the sterilizing temperature of 820℃ is in common use, in which it takes only five seconds to finish sterilization.
  • When conducting sterilization, please slowly and lightly insert the articles like inoculation loops/ needles, mouths of bottles and pipes etc. Be cautious to avoid the scraping of the inner surface of the heated antrum. And when sterilizing inoculation loops/ needles, please insert them to the back of the heated antrum to avoid splash pollution.
  • It is strongly recommended that the instrument should work for no more than three hours in the highest temperature (850-930℃). If fiery bright light is found in the heated antrum, it indicates that the temperature is too high. Please lower the temperature to a proper extent.
  • Turn off the instrument when the sterilization is finished.

Maintenance

  • Avoid scraping with sharp objects on the inner surface of heating antrum.
  • Periodically check whether there are scratches and accumulated wastes on the inner surface of the heating antrum.
  • If flaws are found in the heating antrum, please replace it in time.
  • Wipe the surface with a cloth wrung out from gentle detergents. To avoid short circuiting the instrument, be cautious not to use a dripping cloth when cleaning the surrounding of the heater.
  • If the blue and red indicator lights don’t turn bright when the power is on and the switch is turned on, probably the fuse has blown. Please replace it with the same specification and try starting the instrument again. If it still doesn’t work, please contact your local distributor.
