For connection to a supply not in the U.S.A., use an attachment plug adapter of proper configuration for the power outlet.

WARNING

• Do not use the device if it shows signs of damage or does not function properly. In these cases, contact Customer Service.
• Repairs must only be carried out by Customer Service or authorized suppliers.
• Do not try to repair the device yourself.
• Do not use the device when bathing or showering. Do not store or keep the device in places from where it could fall into a bath or wash basin.
• Never immerse the device in water or other liquids.
• If the device has dropped into water, unplug the plug-in power unit imme-diately.
• Ensure your hands are dry before handling either the device or the plug-in power unit.
• Plug the power adapter only into a standard 110 VAC power outlet.
• If the power supply is damaged, discontinue use immediately.

CAUTION

• This product is for personal, household use only and is not intended for medical or commercial pur poses.
• Keep device out of the reach of children.
• During use, considerable heat may be experienced on the skin.
• This instrument must be used only for the purpose for which it has been developed, and in the manner described in the instructions for use. Any improper use can be dangerous.
• In case of prolonged intensive use, the device might get hot. In order to prevent skin burns in these situations, take breaks between each use. For your own safety, constantly monitor heat build-up in the device.
• The appliance must be checked frequently for signs of wear or damage. If such signs are present, or if the appliance has been used improperly, it must be returned to the manufacturer or the retailer before further use.
• Switch off the instrument immediately in the event of malfunction.
• Use the device only with the accessories provided.
• Never leave the device unattended when it is in operation.
• Keep the device away from children to prevent any possible danger.
• Keep the device away from sources of heat.
• Do not use the device under blankets, pillows etc.
• Do not pull on the power cord or instrument to unplug the plug-in power unit from the socket outlet.
• Make sure that the device is switched off beforehand.

NOTICE

• Consult your doctor before using this product if you:
  • are not sure whether it is suitable for you
  • suffer from a serious illness
  • have diabetes or thrombosis
  • have pains of unclear origin
• The device is only for private use and is not intended for medical or com-mercial purposes.
• The device must not be operated continuously for longer than 15 minutes. After this time, wait an interval of at least 30 minutes to prevent the motor from overheating.
• For hygienic reasons, only use the device on one person.
• This device is intended only for the treatment of hands (manicure) and feet (pedicure).

Introduction

This manicure and pedicure device comes with high-quality attachments. The included attachments are made with durable sapphire coating / polishing felt. Combined with continuously variable speed control and selectable rotation directions, professional quality foot and nail care is possible. All attachments can be easily stored into the storage pouch. The integrated LED creates ideal lighting conditions during use.

Power supply:
To ensure adequate power at all times, this device includes a permanently attached power adapter.

WARNING After use, before cleaning and changing any accessory parts, always unplug the power adapter from the electrical outlet. Ensure that the Power Switch on the device is in the center position (off) before con-necting the device to an electrical outlet.

To Use

1. Select an attachment and push it gently onto the device spindle until it clicks into place. To remove, pull the attachment and device apart.
2. Turn the Power Switch clockwise or counterclockwise to switch the device on. The blue LED illuminates. Press the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to increase or decrease RPMs respectively. Start every application at low speed and increase only as required.
3. All file and cutting attachments are coated with a sapphire grain. This ensures long life. Do not exert heavy pressure and always guide the attachments carefully in circular movements slowly over the parts to be treated.
4. Attachments will have a reduced effect if the skin is softened or moist. For this reason, do not use during or immediately after bathing or showering.
5. In order to retain natural skin protection, do not remove all the callused skin.
6. Always ensure that the spindle can rotate freely. It must never be per-manently jammed; otherwise, the instrument will become too hot and suffer damage.
7. Check the results during treatment. This is particularly important for dia-betics, since their hands and feet are less sensitive.
8. After every use, apply moisturizing cream to the parts treated.

Attachments

Since the attachments are of a high quality and improper use can lead to injury, handle the attachments carefully. Use extra caution when operating the device at high speeds.
The following attachments are included:

• A – Sapphire cone
  Removes dry skin and calluses from feet and mani-cures toenails.

• B – Felt cone
  Smoothens and polishes nails after filing and cleans nail surfaces. Always polish in circular movements and do not allow the felt cone to rest in one place.

• C – Fine Sapphire Wheel
  Files and treats nails. Only the inner wheel rotates, while the outer support is stationary. This enables precise filing of the nails without the risk of burning the skin.

• D – Cylindrical Grinder
  Grinds and smoothens toenails. Apply the milling cut-ter horizontally to the nail surface and remove the unwanted toenail layer using slow circular move- ments.

• E – Pointed Grinder
  Removes ingrown nails. Carefully guide the pointed grinder to the part to be treated and remove parts of the nail as necessary.

• F – Round Sapphire Grinder
  Removes corns. When removing a layer of skin from the corn, you will quickly penetrate deeper into the skin and could injure the periosteum.

• G – Needle-shaped Grinder
  This is a precision tool, so proceed cautiously when using this attachment. This attachment frees ingrown nails and cuts away parts of dead nails. Use only at low speed.

• H – Mandrel
  Holds sanding bands.

• I – Sanding Band
  Removes dry skin and foot calluses and treats nails. Sanding bands can be removed and discarded after a single use. Ten single-use sanding bands are included. To maintain natural skin protection, do not completely remove calluses.

• J – Large Coarse Sapphire Cone
  Fast removal of thick or large calluses on the feet. Intended for use on large areas.

• K – Coarse Sapphire Wheel
  Files and treats nails. Quickly removes large areas of the nail, so use with caution.

• L – Dust Shield
  Controls nail dust. When filing, always work from the outside of the nail towards the tip.

Always check results regularly during treatment. As soon as the application becomes unpleasant, stop the treatment.

Cleaning

• Before cleaning, always unplug power adapter from the electrical outlet.
• Clean the device with a slightly moistened cloth. You can also moisten the cloth with a mild detergent.
• If necessary, attachments can be cleaned with a cloth or brush moistened with isopropyl alcohol. Dry them carefully afterwards.
• Keep water out of the device. If water does contact the device, let it dry thoroughly before using.
• Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners on the device.
• Never immerse the device or power adapter in water or other liquids.

Warranty

Limited Lifetime Warranty For Original Purchaser
Your Beurer manicure and pedicure device, model MP 62, is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the prod-uct under normal conditions of intended use and service. This warranty extends only to the original retail purchaser and does not extend to retailers or subsequent owners.

We will, at our option, repair or replace the Beurer manicure and pedi-cure device, model MP 62, without additional charge, for any part or parts covered by these written warranties. No refunds will be given. Repair or replacement is our only responsibility and your only remedy under this writ-ten warranty. If replacement parts for defective materials are not available, Beurer reserves the right to make product substitutions in lieu of repair or replacement.
For warranty service contact our customer service department at 1-800-536-0366 or at info@beurer.com to provide a description of the prob-lem. If the problem is deemed to be within the scope of the limited lifetime warranty, you will be asked to mail the product at your costs in its original package with proof of purchase, your name, address and phone number. If the problem is not deemed to be within the scope of the limited lifetime warranty, we will provide a quotation for repair, respectively, replacement and return shipping fee.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; acci-dent; the attachment of unauthorized accessories; alteration to the product; improper installation; misapplication; lack of reasonable care with respect to the product; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electri- cal/power supply; old worn batteries; normal wear; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part as a result of failure to comply with instructions for use or to provide manufacturer’s recommended maint nance; transit damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of Beurer. This warranty is void if the product is ever used in a commercial or business environment. The maximum liability of Beurer under this warranty is limited to the purchase price actually paid by the customer for the product covered by the warranty, as confirmed by proof of purchase, regardless of the amount of any other direct or indirect damage suffered by the customer.

This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product is pur chased. A product that requires mod- ifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any other country than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or autho-rized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.

THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLU-SIVE WARRANTY. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS, OR LIA-BILITES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS APPLICABLE WRITTEN WARRANTY. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

IN NO EVENT SHALL BEURER BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCI-DENTAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF THIS OR ANY OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR ANY OTHER THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHATSOEVER. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of special, incidental, or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
Beurer does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, retailers, the subsequent consumer purchaser of the product from a retailer or remote purchaser, to obligate Beurer in any way beyond the terms set forth herein.

This warranty does not extend to the purchase of opened, used, repaired, repackaged and/or resealed products, including but not limited to sale of such products on Internet auction sites and/or products by surplus or bulk resellers. Any and all warranties or guarantees shall immediately cease and terminate in connection with any products or parts thereof which are repaired, replaced, altered, or modified, without the prior explicitly written consent of Beurer.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state.
