ageLOC Galvanic Spa

Unlock your youthful look with visible benefits for your skin and hair in 5 minutes or less. ageLOC Galvanic Spa is a personal care device that uses galvanic current to help visibly improve the appearance of your skin and hair. This versatile device, with its interchangeable attachments and the unique products that accompany it, helps improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles; brings radiance to your skin and visibly revitalises your complexion; improves the appearance of skin with an orange peel look; and promotes full, lustrous and healthy looking hair.

Before You Begin

Please read the following instructions before using your ageLOC Galvanic Spa device:

Caution: The ageLOC Galvanic Spa device is only for use on healthy skin. Do not use if you have open sores or wounds, are prone to rosacea, have allergies to metal, or if you have problematic or overly sensitive skin. Check with your physician before using the ageLOC Galvanic Spa device if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker or similar device, are epileptic, wear metal braces on your teeth, have a metal implant, or in case of illness.

New ageLOC Galvanic Spa users and those with sensitive or allergy-prone skin should always test on a small area of skin before using the product as directed. Always inspect your Galvanic Spa device and conductor heads before use. Ensure there are no rough or defective surfaces, sharp edges or bubbling. If you notice any abnormalities, do not use the instrument and contact your local Nu Skin® office. Do not apply directly to the lips, eyes, or eyelids. The device and products are for external use only. If you experience any swelling, prolonged redness or abnormal irritation, discontinue use immediately and seek medical help if necessary. This device is for use by adults. Persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge and children above 16 years can use the device if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children. Keep out of reach of children.

**** Remove all protective plastic film before beginning. Store in a dry place at room temperature, at minimum 4°C to avoid the possibility of a blister forming.

To reduce the risk of shock, burn, fire, or injury, do not immerse your device in water. Do not place or store where it may fall or be pulled into a bathtub, shower, sink, or toilet. Never operate the device if it has been damaged.

When removing a conductor, do not pinch or hold the middle of the conductor, as this may prevent the release mechanism from working. Hold onto the sides instead. To ensure the correct waste treatment of the ageLOC Galvanic Spa device and batteries, please dispose of them in accordance with any applicable local laws or requirements for disposal of electrical equipment/batteries. Should not be disposed of as general household waste.

Important Maintenance and Warranty Information

Cleaning Your Device and Conductors: After finishing a galvanic application, remove the conductor from the device and use a damp cloth to clean off any excess product (Figure 1). Dry the device thoroughly and store in a dry place without a conductor attached.

Directions for Changing Batteries : When the batteries are low, an amber battery icon will appear in the middle of the display and the device will beep four times twice (Figure 2). When this happens, install two new AAA batteries.

To replace the batteries, push just above the battery compartment cover on each side and pull down firmly (Figure 3). The battery cover will separate from the device (Figure 4).

Next, pull gently on the ribbon and remove the old batteries. Insert two new AAA batteries into the compartment and over the ribbon. Failure to tuck the ribbon under the batteries may allow water to leak into the device, resulting in damage to the device (Figure 5).

Finally, slide the battery cover firmly back in place (Figure 6).

Use only 2 AAA LR03 1.5 V batteries. Do not mix new and used batteries or batteries of different types, such as alkaline and non-alkaline, or rechargeable and non-rechargeable.

Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the appliance before being charged. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.

Do not short-circuit batteries. When the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of a battery are in contact with each other, the battery can become short circuited.

Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the device and safely disposed of according to local law. Remove the batteries from the device before prolonged storage.

Limited Two-Year Warranty: Nu Skin guarantees ageLOC Galvanic Spa to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the original date of delivery to you. This warranty does not cover damage to the product as a result of misuse or accident. If the product becomes defective within the two year warranty period, please call your local Nu Skin Support to arrange for a repair or replacement. You may be required to present a formal sales receipt showing the delivery date. Nu Skin reserves the right to inspect the device. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights in law specific to the country of purchase, such rights remain protected. This warranty is valid in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal,  Romania, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Ukraine and United Kingdom.

Disposal of Old Electrical & Electronic Equipment (applicable in the European Union and other European countries with separate collection schemes). This symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product shall not be treated as household waste. Instead it shall be handed over to the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. The recycling of materials will help to conserve natural resources. For more detailed information about recycling of this product, please contact your household waste disposal service.

The CE marking shows that the manufacturer has checked that this product meet EU safety, health or environmental requirements. It is an indicator of a product’s compliance withEU legislation and allows the free movement of products within the European market.

The EAC Mark (EurAsian conformity Mark) is a mark that must be affixed on a product to demonstrate its compliance to the Customs Union standard.

ageLOC Galvanic Spa Display

1. Numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 indicate the application number and corresponding product (see below).
2. The five dots indicate corresponding application length.
3. If the batteries are low, each time the device is turned on an amber battery symbol will appear in the bottom of the display and the device will beep. When the batteries are completely discharged, an amber battery symbol will appear at the bottom of the display and the device will turn off.

How to use your ageLOC Galvanic Spa

ageLOC Galvanic Spa includes different conductors for your face, scalp, and body, but they are all used in similar ways. Specific instructions for individual applications can be found on pages 12-19. Please read the instructions before beginning to use the device.

For each usage, you must attach the appropriate conductor to your device. The skin touching both chrome contact points must be moist to successfully conduct galvanic currents.

Attach a Conductor: Hold the device with the display facing toward you. Align the conductor positioning indicator withthe front of the device, then press the conductor firmly down by its sides until it snaps into place (Figure 1). If the conductor doesn’t connect, make sure it is facing the right direction and is positioned correctly. Don’t force the conductor, as this may damage it. ageLOC Galvanic Spa won’t work if a conductor head isn’t firmly attached.

Remove a Conductor: First turn the device around so the chrome panel faces you. With your free hand, grip the conductor on its sides, and then firmly press the release button (Figure 2). Gently pull the conductor off the device by its sides.

Display Lights: The display will remain lit while the device is on, both when selecting and during an application. If the display blinks on and off, it is either because the device has lost contact with your skin or skin is not moist enough to conduct the current.

Apply Product: Apply the recommended amount of product to the targeted area on your face, scalp, or body.

Select Application: Press the selection button until the desired number is lit (Figure 3).

Activate Galvanic Current: Your fingers must be touching the chrome panel on the back of the device while the conductor touches your skin. We recommend you thoroughly wet your hands with water or NaPCA Moisture Mist to improve conductivity.* If your fingers slip off the chrome panel during use, don’ t worry—just adjust your hold on the device and resume your spa regimen.

*Remember, the skin touching both chrome contact points must be moist to successfully conduct galvanic currents.

During Application: The device will beep every 10 seconds to indicate the unit is on and working. When 30 seconds remain in an application, the device will beep every five seconds until the application is complete.

Application Interruption : You must keep the conductor in contact with the area being targeted and keep all contact points moist (Figure 4). If you break contact with the chrome panel or the application head, the display will flash on and off. The device will shut off after a couple minutes of non- use.

Application Completion: At the end of your regimen, the device will emit a long beep followed by two short beeps and automatically turn off. If you’d like to perform another application, press the selection button to scroll to the next application number. To turn the device off at any time, simply press the selection button until the display goes blank.

Discontinue use if you experience swelling, redness, or a skin reaction.

Galvanic Spa Facial Gels with ageLOC

Use this regimen three-times each week for visibly revitalising & refreshing results.

Preparation: Use after a Nu Skin® cleanser of your choice. Attach the ageLOC Face Conductor to the device (Figure 1).

PRE-TREAT GEL PHASE

Step 1: Evenly apply an entire ampoule of ageLOC Pre-Treat Gel to the entire face and neck, avoiding eyes, eyelids, and lips. step 2: Push the selection button until the number 1 is lit on the display (Figure 2). This application will take 2 minutes.

Step 3: Thoroughly wet hands with NaPCA Moisture Mist or water. Hold the device with a moistened hand while touching the chrome plate on the back and begin to slowly glide the conductor head over your skin (Figure 3). Be sure to avoid sensitive areas like your eyes, eyelids, and lips.

The device will beep once, twice, or three times to indicate that it has automatically adjusted to your skin. After this, your galvanic application has begun, and the device will beep every 10 seconds to indicate the unit is on and working, and every 5 seconds when your application is almost complete.

Step 4: When your galvanic application is over, the device will emit a long beep followed by two short beeps and automatically turn off. Remove any remaining gel from your skin and the device with a damp towel (Figure 4). Now it’s time for the Treat Gel phase.

TREATMENT GEL PHASE

Step 1: Apply an entire ampoule of ageLOC Treatment Gel to your face and neck.

Step 2: The ageLOC Face Conductor should already be attached, so press the selection button once to turn the device back on and keep pressing until you select application number 2 (Figure 5). This application will take 3 minutes.

Step 3: Again, hold the device with a moistened hand while touching the chrome plate on the back, and begin to slowly glide the conductor head over your skin (Figure 6). Be sure to avoid sensitive areas like your eyes, eyelids, and lips.

The device will beep one, two, or three times to indicate that it has automatically adjusted to your skin. After this, your galvanic application has begun, and the device will beep every 10 seconds to indicate the unit is on and working, and every 5 seconds when your application is almost complete.

step 4: When your galvanic application is over, the device will emit a long beep followed by two short beeps and automatically turn off. Use a damp towel to remove any remaining gel from your skin and the device (Figure 7)

Tru Face Line Corrector

Use this regimen morning and night to target and soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around your mouth, eyes, and forehead .

Preparation: Use after a Nu Skin cleanser and toner of your choice. Attach the Focus Area Conductor to the device **(Figure 1).

Step 1: Apply Tru Face Line Corrector to the lines and wrinkles you want to target. Apply to only one of these areas at a time. Make sure to leave a thin layer of product on the surface of your skin.

Step 2: Push the selection button until the number 3 is lit on the display (Figure 2). This application will take 5 minutes.

Pro Tip: When targeting multiple areas, you can use the five minutes for more than one area. Small application areas typically do not require more than one or two minutes each.

Step 3: Thoroughly wet hands with NaPCA Moisture Mist or water. Hold the device with a moistened hand while touching the chrome plate on the back and begin to slowly glide the conductor head over your skin (Figure 3). Be careful to avoid sensitive areas like your eyes, eyelids, and lips.

The device will beep once, twice, or three times to indicate that it has automatically adjusted to your skin. After this, your galvanic application has begun, and the device will beep every 10 seconds to indicate the unit is on and working, and every 5 seconds when your application is almost complete.

Step 4: When your galvanic application is over, the device will emit a long beep followed by two short beeps and automatically turn off. Repeat steps 1 through 3 foreach targeted area. When finished with all applications, rub any remaining product into your skin and wipe any leftover product from the device with a damp towel (Figure 4)

ageLOC Body Shaping Gel

Use this application three times each week to visibly contour, firm, and smooth skin on arms, thights, abdomen, and buttocks.

Preparation: Attach the Body Conductor to the device **(Figure 1).

Step 1: Use on clean skin. Apply an ample amount of ageLOC Body Shaping Gel to the desired area.

Step 2: Push the selection button until the number 4 is lit on the display (Figure 2). This application will take 5 minutes per area.

Pro Tip: 5 minutes is the recommended application time for one area, but you may not need the full 5 minutes.

Step 3: Thoroughly wet hands with NaPCA Moisture Mist or water. Hold the device with a moistened hand while touching the chrome plate on the back and begin to slowly glide the conductor head over your skin (Figure 3).

The device will beep once, twice, or three times to indicate that it has automatically adjusted to your skin. Apply ageLOC Dermatic Effects® twice daily to help your skin stay visibly smooth and contoured. On days when you use ageLOC Body Shaping Gel, apply ageLOC Dermatic Effects after your galvanic application.

ageLOC Nutriol Intensive Scalp & Hair Serum

Use this effortless ritual morning and night to help revitalise the scalp day after day and make hair look and feel divine.

Preparation: Use on towel-dried or dry hair. Attach the Scalp Conductor to the device (Figure 1).

step 1: Spray ageLOC Nutriol Intensive Scalp & Hair Serum directly onto the scalp and roots by parting hair (Figure 2).

Pro Tip: Slightly spraying water on dry hair before applying ageLOC Nutriol Intensive Scalp & Hair Serum may make your hair easier to manage for your application.

Step 2: Use fingers to gently massage the serum into scalp and roots (Figure 3). Comb away any unruly strands (Figure 4).

Push the selection button until the number 5 is lit on the display (Figure 5). This application will take 2 minutes.

Step 3: Thoroughly wet hands with NaPCA Moisture Mist or water. Hold the device with a moistened hand while touching the chrome plate on the back. Touch the conductor directly to the scalp and move from the front of your hairline backward, keeping in constant contact with the scalp (Figure 6).

The device will beep once, twice, or three times to indicate that it has automatically adjusted to your skin. After this, your galvanic application has begun, and the device will beep every 10 seconds to indicate the unit is on and working, and every 5 seconds when your application is almost complete.

Note: During galvanic application, keep Scalp Conductor in constant contact with the scalp

Step 4: When your galvanic application is over, the device will emit a long beep followed by two short beeps and automatically turn off.

Do not rinse hair. Style as usual and remove any remaining product from the device with a damp towel (Figure 7).
