  5. Do not use this apparatus near water
    The appliance should not be used near water; for example, near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool.

BATTERY INSTALLATION (REMOTE CONTROL)

Battery installation:

  1. Press the tab on the battery door and lift it off.
  2. Install two (2) x AAA size batteries into the battery compartment as the figure on right and the polarity markings inside battery compartment.
  3. Replace the battery door.

Follow these precautions when using a battery in this device:

  1. Use only the size and type of battery specified.
  2. Avoid replacement of a battery with an incorrect type.
  3. Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the battery as indicated in the battery compartment. A reversed battery may cause damage to the device.
  4. Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. Alkazline and Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with fresh ones.
  5. If the batteries in the device are consumed or the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.
  6. Do not try to recharge the battery not intended to be recharged; it can overheat and rupture. (Follow battery manufacturer’s directions).
  7. Don’t disposal of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of a Battery.

  1. When there is an obstacle between the unit and the transmitter, the transmitter may not operation.
  2. When direct sunlight, an incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp or any other strong light shines on remote control of the unit, the remote operation may be unstable.

POWER SOURCE

Charging by supplied AC/DC Adaptor:

  1. Connect the small plug from the supplied AC/DC Adaptor to the DC IN Jack on the right of unit.
  2. Connect the AC/DC Adaptor to the wall outlet having AC 100-240V~; 50/60Hz.
  3. During charging, the red indicator will light, and it will turn green when finished charging.

Notes: For saving energy, unplug the AC/DC Adaptor from wall outlet if the unit will not use for long period of time.

Your battery will last longer if you follow these simple guidelines for caring and storing it:

  1. Do not overcharge (longer than 24 hours). Excessive charging or discharging may shorten the battery’s life.
  2. Battery life naturally shortens slowly over time.
  3. The rechargeable battery incorporated in this product is not user replaceable.

Charging by the supplied Car Adaptor:

  1. Connect to the cigarette lighter socket of a vehicle that has a 12V battery as the figure below.
    It is not compatible with a vehicle that has a 24V battery.

  2. This is a special negative grounded Car Adapter. Using this Car Adapter with a plus grounded car can cause malfunction.

  3. Do NOT plug in the Car Adapter until the car ignition is turned on.

  4. Disconnect the Car Adapter from the cigarette lighter and the unit after use.

Connecting to a TV or Video Player (such like DVD; VCR; DVR Players … ) with AV connection cable.

NOTE:

  • The default setting of the unit is AV Out, if connect to external Video Player (such like DVD; VCR; DVR Players … ), press and hold the SOURCE button to set to AV IN mode (“AV IN” will appear on the screen), press and hold again to resume.
  • Using the Earphone (not included) to listen privately.

The viewing angle of the swivel panel can be adjusted as below as desired:

OPERATIONS

  1. Lift up the panel and turn to desired angle. Slide the Power ON/OFF switch to “ON” position to power on the unit, the green Indicator on front of the player will light.

  2. Press the OPEN button to open the disc door. Place the disc on the center spindle with label side facing up. Close the disc door and the player will start playback automatically. If this doesn’t occur, press the button.

  3. During playback:

    • Press the or buttons on remote control repeatedly to fast search for a specific section forward/backward.
      Press button on remote control to resume normal playback.

    • Press the or button on remote control repeatedly to skip to specific track or chapter.

    • Press button on remote control to pause, press button again to resume normal playback.

    • Press the VOL (Volume) +/- buttons on remote control to adjust volume level.

    • Press the STOP button on the remote control to pre-stop. The player will remember the point where the disc was stopped. When press button again, playback will start from this point. Press the STOP button twice to stop completely, press button to start from beginning.

  4. For saving energy, always power off the player by slide the Power ON/OFF switch on the player to OFF position or unplug the wall power adaptor from player and wall outlet.)

Repeat Playback: (DVD)

  • Press the REPEAT button once, the current chapter will playback repeatedly and continuously.
  • Press the REPEAT button twice, the current Title will playback repeatedly and continuously.
  • Press the REPEAT button the third time, all files will playback repeatedly and continuously.
  • Press the REPEAT button repeatedly to turn off the repeat mode.

Repeat Playback: (CD)

  • Press the REPEAT button once; the current track will playback repeatedly and continuously.
  • Press the REPEAT button twice; all the tracks on the disc will playback repeatedly and continuously.
  • Press the REPEAT button repeatedly to turn off the repeat mode.

(CD/DVD)Program:

  1. During CD or DVD playback, press the 352* (Program) button.
  2. Using the Direction, OK and Numeric buttons to select and set the desired T (Title), C (Chapters), tracks (for CD) of the movie /music you wants. The Program menu will appear as follows.

  1. Using the Direction buttons to select and highlight the “CLEAR” or button on the screen then press the OK button to clear all the programmed items when there is wrong programming.
  2. Using the Direction buttons to select and highlight the “PLAY” or button on the screen then press the OK button to start program playback.

OPERATIONS

  • LCD ON/OFF: Press to turn on or off the LCD display.

  • POWER: Press to turn to standby mode. Press again to turn on.

  • Volume +/–: Press to increase or decrease volume.

  • MUTE: Press to turn off the sound, press again to resume.

  • MENU: Press to return to disc’s menu page (Function depends on the recording of the disc).

  • OSD (On Screen Display) : During playback, press repeatedly to read the information of playback status.

  • SUBTITLE: During DVD playback, press repeatedly to select the desired subtitle.
    (Function depends on the recording of the disc)

  • STEP: During movie playback, press repeatedly to play the movie frame by frame.
    Press the button to resume normal playback.

  • TITLE: Press to return to disc’s title page (Function depends on the recording of the disc).

  • ANGLE: During DVD playback, press repeatedly to select the viewing angle. (Function depends on the recording of disc)

  • ZOOM:
    During movies playback, press the ZOOM button repeatedly to zoom in/out the picture. When in zoom in mode, press Direction buttons to select the parts of the zoomed picture to watch. (This function is not available on all discs)

  • GOTO:

    • Press to display the TT (Title), CH (Chapter) and time selection, input the desired title, chapter or playback time. ( For DVD disc) Press the OK button to confirm.
    • Press to display the TRK (Track) and time selection, input the desired track or playback time. (For audio CD disc) Press the OK button to confirm.
  • AUDIO:

    • During DVD playback, press repeatedly to select the desired audio language. (Function depends on the recording of disc)
    • During CD playback, press repeatedly to select the desired audio channel. (Function depends on the recording of disc)
  • A-B Repeat:
    During Playback, press the A-B button to define where you want the section to start. Press the A-B button again to define where you would like the section to end, the unit will then plays the selected section repeatedly and continuously. Press the A-B button again to resume normal playback.
    (This function is not available on all discs)

  • LOW:
    During playback, press the SLOW button repeatedly to set the slow motion speed. Press button resume to normal playback.

USB or SD/MMC CARD PLAYBACK

  1. Insert the USB device or SD/MMC memory card into the USB port /card slot as the figure below.

    • JPG (Pictures)
      Make sure correct files were saved in the USB device or memory cards.
  2. In Power ON mode, press the USB/CARD button on remote control, the “DVD, CARD, USB” selection window will pop up on the screen. Using the Direction buttons to select and highlight the source then press the OK button to confirm. Using the Direction and OK buttons to select desired Folder or File then press the OK button to start playback.

  3. During playback:

    • Press the or button on remote control repeatedly to skip backward/forward.
      Press the or button on remote control repeatedly to fast searching backward/forward.

    • Press the button to pause. Press again to resume normal playback.

    • Press the (STOP) button on remote control to return to menu.

SYSTEM SETUP

Press the SETUP button on remote control or press and hold the SETUP button on the unit, the setting menu will appear on the screen as below. During setting, using Direction , , , buttons to select and highlight the function needed to set or reset, press the OK button to confirm the selection. After setting, press the SETUP button to save and exit.

  1. If TV System is selected, it can be set to NTSC, PAL or AUTO to match the connected TV.
  2. If POWER RESUME is selected and set On, the unit will start playback from the position where the disc was stopped last time.
  3. If Screen Saver is selected and set On, the screen saver will come on when the unit idles or the image is paused for several minutes.
  4. If TV Type is selected, set the aspect ratio to match the connected TV.
  5. If Video is selected, using the Direction and OK buttons to set it to CVBS to match the connected TV.
  6. If Default is selected and set it to restore, all settings will be restored to factory setting.

  1. If Osd Language (On Screen Display Language) is selected, using the Direction and OK buttons to set the priority of the available language. (Function depends on the recording of the disc)
  2. If Audio Lang (Audio Language) is selected, using the Direction and OK buttons to set the priority of the available language.
  3. If Subtitle Lang (Subtitle Language) is selected, using the Direction and OK buttons to set the priority of the available language or set it off.
  4. If Menu Lang (Menu Language) is selected, using the Direction and OK buttons to set the priority of the available language of the on screen menu.

  1. If Password is selected, press the button to highlight , then enter the four default password “0000” to unlock the rating, press the OK button to confirm. Now the lock status will be .
    To change a new password, highlight the password column and enter a new four digit password under unlocking status, press the OK button to confirm password changing.

  2. If Rating is selected after unlocking, press the button to enter rating level, press or button to select the desired rating level, then press the OK button to confirm setting.
    ~ Rate levels:
    KID SAFE: Kid safe
    G: All ages
    PG: Parental Guidance
    PG 13: Parental Guidance less than 13 years old
    PG-R: Under 17 years old, Parental Guidance suggested
    R: Under 17 years old, Parental Guidance strongly
    NC-17: 17 years old or above
    ADULT: Adult only

TFT SETUP:
Using the Direction and OK buttons to set or reset the picture quality such as the panel’s Brightness, Contrast, Hue, Saturation.

  1. If Dual Mono is selected, using the Direction and OK buttons to set it to Stereo, Mono L, (Plays Left channel on all speakers), Mono R (Plays Right channel on all speakers) or Mix Mono (Mixed Right and Left channel then plays on all speakers) as desired. (Functions depend on the recording of the disc).
  2. If Downmix is selected, using the Direction and OK buttons to set it to LT/RT; Stereo as desired.
    • If set to LT/RT, the rear left and rear right channels will plays on both Left andRight Speakers.
    • If set to Stereo, the rear left channel will plays on Left Speaker; the rear right channel will play on Right Speaker.
  3. If Dynamic Range is selected, using the Direction and OK buttons to set the dynamic level or turn it off.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Caring for Discs

Treat the disc carefully. Handle the disc only by its edges.
Never allow your fingers to contact with the shin , unprinted side of the disc.

  • Do not attach adhesive tape, stickers, etc. to the disc label.

  • Clean the disc periodically with a soft, lint-free, dry cloth, Never use detergents or abrasive cleaners to clean the disc. If necessary, use a CD cleaning kit.

  • If a disc skips or gets stuck on a section of the disc, it is probably dirty or damaged(scratched).

  • When cleaning the disc, wipe in straight lines from the center of the disc to the outer edge of the disc. Never wipe in circular motions.
    CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  • Discs should be stored in their cases after each use to avoid damage.

  • Do not expose discs to direct sunlight, high temperatures or dust, etc. Prolonged exposure or extreme temperatures can warp the disc.

  • Do not stick or write anything on either side of the disc. Sharp writing Instruments, or the ink, may damage the surface.

Cleaning the Unit

  • To prevent fire or shock hazard, disconnect your unit from the AC power source when cleaning.
  • The finish on your unit may be cleaned with a dust cloth and cared for as other furniture. Use caution when cleaning and wiping the plastic parts.
  • Mild soap and a damp cloth may be used on the front panel.
