Introduction

The WCP-11C-TEK is a 433MHz wireless call point transmitter supporting the PII System Receiver.

  • 433MHz long range transmission

  • Buttons: Call (red circle with white cross) Staff Emergency (Brown)
    Round (Purple)
    Check-in (green)
    Reset (dark grey)

  • Indication LED

  • RJ10 connection to handset

  • Low battery voltage indication

  • Optional tracking function

  • Site code setting

System Overview

Functions
There are five buttons and a magnetic senor on the call box. An external handset with a call button can be connected to the call box. The five buttons on the call box are:

  1. Staff Emergency
  2. Call
  3. Round
  4. Check-in
  5. Reset

There are two Reset functions:

  1. Normal reset (0x0C) activated by press the Reset button
  2. Handset Removal Reset (0x5C) activated by pressing the Reset button for 5s

The two functions activated by placing a magnet on the Reset button are:

  1. Reset (place a magnet on the Reset button and remove from the Reset button)
  2. Survey (placing a magnet on the Reset button and then press the Call button)

The other functions not activated by buttons are:

  1. Handset Removal
  2. Handset Plug-in
  3. Tracking (enable or disable by flash programming or optional EEPROM)
  4. Low Battery Voltage

Priority
While a function is being operated, the system ignores the lower priority conditions. For example, during a Staff Emergency Call is being operated, pressing the Call or the  ound button does not have any effect. The Reset is a special function. Pressing the Reset button immediately overwrites any function being operated (except Handset  emoval and Handset Plug-in functions). However, while the Reset function is being operated, it will be over-taken by any key pressing actions but not the Handset Removal,  andset Plug-in, Low Battery Voltage, or the Track code. The priority is listed below with the Staff Emergency Call as the highest priority function:

  • Staff Emergency Call
  • Call
  • Handset Removal
  • Handset Plug-in
  • Check-in
  • Rounding and Survey (equal priority)
  • Low Battery Voltage / Track Code

Operation

After installing two new CR2477 batteries, press the RESET button for 5s to make the device into normal operation mode (the LED should be ON for 1s). The device can  e operated according to table 2-1 by pressing the corresponding buttons.
Note: The buttons have priority, for example, if the EMERGENCY button was pressed, it will wait for the RESET button to be pressed. Pressing other buttons should not have  ny effects. After pressed and released the RESET button, pressing any buttons should take effect immediately.

Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

  1. This device may not cause harmful interference, and
  2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
