IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Keep this instruction manual, the packing and your receipt. If you give or sell the product to a third party, please make sure that you also hand out this instruction manual.
  2. Never use the appliance if it is damaged.
  3. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, his service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  4. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they are given supervision or instructions concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are 8 years and older and supervised.
  5. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children under the age of 8 years.
  6. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or a separate remote control system.
  7. Regarding the instructions for cleaning surfaces in contact with food, refer to the section “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE” of the user manual.
  8. The surfaces are liable to get hot during use.
  9. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handle while moving the product. Never operate it with wet hands.
  10. Do not place the appliance in or near a hot gas or electric burner, or permit to touch a heated oven or mini oven.
  11. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
  12. Always disconnect the appliance from the mains socket when not in use, before moving or cleaning.
  13. Never leave the appliance be unattended when in operation.
  14. Do not use the appliance for any purpose other than its intended use.
  15. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a counter or table, or touch hot surfaces.
  16. The use of accessories or attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may cause hazards.
  17. Do not move the appliance when it is hot.
  18. Operate the appliance in a well-ventilated area. Keep at least 10 cm of space on all sides of the appliance to allow adequate air circulation.
  19. Do not allow the appliance to touch curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels or other flammable materials when it is in operation.
  20. Do not attempt to remove food when the appliance is in operation.
  21. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
    • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
    • farm houses;
    • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
    • bed and breakfast type environments.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Remove all packaging material.

  2. Clean the exterior of the appliance with a slightly damp cloth.

  3. Clean the supplied cooking plates in warm suds. Dry them thoroughly before replacing them on the appliance.
    WARNING! Do not submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid.

  4. The first heating process should take place without any foodstuffs, let it heat for about ten minutes. There may be a slight development of smoke or smell. This is normal and harmless.

OPERATNG INSTRUCTION

Before you put food in the appliance for cooking, preheat the appliance to achieve best cooking results.

  1. Place the appliance on a stable, level and heatproof surface.
  2. Close the appliance, and then connect the appliance to the power outlet.
  3. The red indicator light up, indicating heating turns on. The preheating takes approx. 1-2 minutes. When the light indicator goes off, indicating the temperature is perfect for cooking, the appliance is ready for use.
  4. Open the appliance, and place your prepared food on the bottom plate, and then close the appliance.
  5. Wait about 3~4 mins., the light goes off indicated the food is done. You can also check for doneness of the food during cooking
  6. Open the appliance and remove the food with a spatula (not included).
  7. Disconnect the appliance from the power outlet after use.

OPERATNG INSTRUCTION

Notes:

  • Due to the manufacturing process, it is normal that the appliance may emit smoke when turning on for the first time.
  • During cooking, the indicator light cycles on and off to keep the temperature perfect for cooking.
  • Do not use sharp, pointed or metal spatulas to avoid damaging the cooking surfaces.

TIPS FOR COOKING

  1. When making grilled sandwiches, wipe the cooking plate with a little cooking oil or butter to improve their color and ease their removal from the plates.
  2. When cooking pre-packed foods, follow guidelines on the package or label.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING! Before cleaning, always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet, and allow it to cool down completely.
WARNING! Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

  • Clean the exterior of the appliance with a slightly damp cloth.
  • Clean the supplied cooking plates in warm suds. Dry them thoroughly before replacing them on the appliance
  • Never use abrasive or chemical cleaning agents.
  • Clean regularly, surfaces in contact with food to avoid cross contamination from different types of food. It is recommended to use warm clean water with a mild detergent to clean surfaces that come into contact with food.
  • Always follow correct food hygiene practices to avoid possibility of food poisoning /cross contamination.

STORAGE

  • Always unplug the appliance before storage.
  • Always make sure the appliance is cool and dry before storage.
  • The power cord can be wrapped around at the bottom of base for storing.

This will help conserve natural resources and ensure that it is recycled in a manner that protects health and the environment. You must dispose of this appliance and its packaging according to local laws and regulations. Because this appliance contains electronic components, the appliance and its accessories must be disposed of separately from household waste when the appliance reaches its end of life. Contact your local authority to learn about disposal and recycling. The appliance should be taken to your local collection point for recycling. Some collection points accept appliances free of charge.
