INSTALLATION
- elect a suitable “open” mounting position so that the photocell is not affected by the light output of the fitting.
- Make an 18-20mm diameter hole in the mounting surface ensuring that the hole is free from burrs or rough edges.
- Remove the nut of the external PC by unscrewing anti-clockwise and lift off the top rubber washer.
- Install the photocell in the prepared hole from the inside, ensuring that the bottom rubber washer is in place internally (between the mounting surface and the photocell backing).
- Fit the top rubber washer to the protruding photocell on the outside of the mounting surface and firmly secure in place with the nut removed in point 1 by turning clockwise.
- Wire in the 12v power supply and the fitting to be powered by following the diagram below.
- Reconnect to the power supply, ensuring all connections are secure and no bare wires are left free of the terminals.
- Restore the power and test by covering the photocell unit to switch on, waiting one minute, then removing the cover and checking that the unit has switched off.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Occasional cleaning and care is recommended for this product. Wipe the external PC sensor with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove any surface dirt and maintain efficiency. Do not use abrasive cleaners or a lot of water as this could damage the unit. Do not use any form of liquid around the sensor box as this is not a waterproof component. Please refer to our website for more information on the best way to clean different materials.
