WARNINGS

  • DO NOT USE WITH 240V MAINS – 12V ONLY (TRANSFORMER MAY BE REQUIRED)
  • Must be installed by a competent person. If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
  • Install in accordance with IEE wiring regulations and current Building Regulations.
  • To prevent electrocution, switch off 12v power supply and remove the appropriate circuit fuse before installing or maintaining this fitting. Ensure other persons cannot restore the electrical supply without your knowledge.
  • This fitting is Protection Class III, 12V.
  • All connections should be made as watertight as possible to avoid electrical shortage.
  • Never exceed the wattage stated.
  • If a fitting is found to be damaged, cease use immediately.
  • The unit may get warm whilst on for a period of time.
  • Always take care during installation
  • Suitable for outdoor use when installed correctly in a light fitting or junction box.
  • Before drilling fixing holes, check that there are no obstructions hidden beneaththe mounting surface such as pipes or cables.
  • The chosen location of your new fitting should allow for the product to  be securely mounted and safely connected to the mains supply (lighting circuit).
  • his product is designed for permanent connection to fixed wiring. We
    recommend that the supply incorporates a switch for ease of operation.

REMOTE PHOTOCELL

INSTALLATION:

  1. Select a suitable “open” mounting position so that the photocell is  notaffected by the light output of the fitting.
  2. Make a 20mm diameter hole in the mounting surface ensuring that the hole is free from burrs or rough edges.
  3. Remove the nut of the external PC by unscrewing anti-clockwise and lift off the top rubber washer.
  4. Install the photocell in the prepared hole from the inside, ensuring that the bottom rubber washer is in place internally (between the mounting surface and the photocell backing).
  5. Fit the top rubber washer to the protruding photocell on the outside of the mounting surface and firmly secure in place with the nut removed in point 1 by turning clockwise.
  6. Wire in the 12v power supply and the fitting to be powered by following the diagram below.
  7. Reconnect to the power supply, ensuring all connections are secure and no bare wires are left free of the terminals.
  8. Restore the power and test by covering the photocell unit to switch on, waiting one minute, then removing the cover and checking that the unit has switched off.

INSTALLATION:

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE:

Occasional cleaning and care is recommended for this product. Wipe the external PC sensor with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove any surface dirt and maintain efficiency. Do not use abrasive cleaners or a lot of water as this could damage the unit. DO not use any form of liquid around the sensor box as this is not a waterproof component.
