CONSTRUCTING THE END CUPBOARDS
-
Lay section A face down, then insert E and D by slotting the joining tongue into the joining groove at a 45 degree angle, then pushing up to a 90 degree angle to secure in place.
-
Slide section B into place
-
Finally, fit section C into place. You may need to push this section in place to secure firmly.
CONSTRUCTING THE MIDDLE CUPBOARDS
-
Lay section A face down, then insert E and C by slotting the joining tongue into the joining groove at a 45 degree angle, then pushing up to a 90 degree angle to secure in place.
-
Slide section B into place
-
Finally, fit section D into place. You may need to push this section in place to secure firmly. Ensure the coated edge faces outwards.
ATTACHING THE CUPBOARD DOORS
PLEASE NOTE: The doors can be attached at any point during assembly. You may wish to do this stage at the end to reduce the risk of damage.
-
Attach the hinges to the doors using the screws provided.
There are two hinges per door.
-
Then attach the hinge base into the inside of the cupboards. You can decide whether you want them situated on the left or right – there are holes on either side.
-
Attach the door to the cupboards by clicking the hinge in place.
SECURING THE CUPBOARDS IN PLACE
Carefully tilt the unit back onto its base. You can now begin to secure the
cupboards to one another. We recommend this step is done by two people to
ensure the unit is evenly supported at either end.
You can find the counter-sunk screw holes above and below the hinge
attachments.
PLINTH INSTALLATION
Carefully turn the unit over, you can then screw the plinth in place using the screws provided. Set the plinth back 25mm from the front of the unit (not the doors). Once completed, carefully turn the unit back over.
HEARTH SECTION – FIRE CUT-OUT
Check the width of the model you are installing below by scanning the QR code,
and use a depth of 305mm. Your cut-out depth will now line up with the top
section of the unit, giving you approximately a 30mm overhang from the unit.
Using an appropriate saw, carefully cut these dimensions out of the top hearth
ready for the fire to be slotted into place.
On Electra 1250 and 1500 models, which have a narrower case,
a baton is required to provide extra support to the fire. The baton needs to
be fixed to the back of the unit.
MODEL | CUT-OUT SIZES |
---|---|
E1030 / KIRUNA | 1010mm X 305mm |
E1250 / MOTALA / EXOR | 1265mm X 305mm |
E1500 / LINNEA / LITA | 1510mm X 305mm |
E1800 / AVESTA / ASTA | 1765mm X 305mm |
ELECTRA 1250 | 1265mm X 305mm |
ELECTRA 1500 | 1510mm X 305mm |
ELECTRA 1800 | 1765mm X 305mm |
ALISIO 850 | 864mm X 305mm |
ALISIO 1150 | 1164mm X 305mm |
ALISIO 1550 | 1564mm X 305mm |
ALISIO 1850 | 1864mm X 305mm |
We recommend measuring the width of the case, taking into account the fixings on the metalwork which could result in a slight increase in size.
ATTACHING THE HEARTH
Place the top hearth accurately in place. Using the counter-sunk holes, screw
into place. When screwing the hearth into place, ensure you do not push too
firmly as this could result in the screws breaching the hearth.
Once fitted, the hearth should overhang on the front by around 30mm from the
unit (not the doors), and once the side panels are fitted will overhang by
around 5mm either side.
ATTACHING THE DECORATIVE SIDE PANELS
-
Take the side panel and offer it up to the end cupboard.
-
Ensure the small inside painted side showing at the front on the inside of the unit.
-
Line the side panel up to the hearth. This will ensure you get an even overhang on both sections.
-
Using the screws provided, secure the side panel in place.
BATON INSTALLATION (E-LECTRA MODELS ONLY)
On Electra 1250 and 1500 models, which have a narrower case, a baton is
required to allow the fire to sit slightly higher once fitted.
Using the pre-drilled holes, attach the baton to the rear of the unit,
ensuring that it is central and resting on top of the plinth. Once fitted, the
back of the fire will rest on the baton, and the front and sides will be
supported by the hearth.
LEVELLING THE CUPBOARD DOORS
The two screws identified can be used to adjust the position of the doors. Use
a screwdriver for this step, and only use a slight turn when adjusting.
The gap between each cupboard should be the same, and the bottom edge of the
cupboard doors should all be level.
