Connecting to the Smart Connect cloud
Smart connect cloud gives you a real-time overview of your fleet and lets you access and monitor your equipment anytime, anywhere, and on any device. The oven connectivity is based on four separate parts wich has to run/work all in order to be able to connect the oven and use the system.
- Smart connect cloud
- Store WiFi network
- Oven with S control
- Fri-Jado connector app
Smart Connect cloud
The first part is the Smart connect cloud which is a web based environment
where you can manage Users, devices and groups. You have also a dashboard
available to monitor the ovens and preform exports and downloads.
To access the Smart connect cloud you can use the following link:
https://smartconnect.frijado.com/
You need to enter your Username and Password which has been send to you by email to be able to login. If you did not receive it please contact your local distributor or Fri-Jado.
Note: Password must contain at least 8 characters, one uppercase letter, one number, and one special character (@$!^#*?)
The oven must be known in the Smart Connect cloud, in one of the groups you have access to. You can type the serial number in the search bar in the “my devices” page to find it quickly.
Go to https://smartconnect.frijado.com/ , log in with your credentials (same as used for the app) and check if the serial number is known.
Store Wi-Fi network
Make sure there is a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network with password protection available,
a 5GHz network will not work. Keep the name and password of this Wi-Fi network
at hand while connecting. The signal to the oven should be stable and strong.
Recommended RSSI reading is between -60dBm and -25dBm.
When a firewall blocks the connection make sure the following address is
opened:
- Frijado-prod-iot-hub.azure-devices.net
- Port number; 8883
Oven with S control
Ovens with S control (touch screen) have an integrated Wi-Fi module to connect
the oven with the store Wi-Fi network.
Make sure the oven has the latest software version installed. (V 1.00.34 or
higher) If not please update the oven first. See service manual for
instructions.
Activate Wi-Fi on the oven
First thing we need to do, is making it possible for the oven to communicate with your smartphone. This is necessary to configure the wi-fi connection and to set the date, time and location of the oven.
Switch on the oven and select the settings symbol and go to the service
parameters page.
Select service, enter the service code: 4878 and confirm.
Scroll down to the WiFi settings and make the following settings:
- ‘Wifi Smartphone’ Allowed (= smartphone connection )
- ‘Wifi Cloud’ enable (= cloud connection )
Fri-Jado Connector app
To connect the oven to the Smart connect cloud you need a smartphone with the
Fri-Jado connector app installed. With this connector app you connect the oven
to the smart Cloud and determine its location.
Download the latest version of the Fri-Jado connector app on your smartphone
and make sure you have the credentials to log in.
You can download the latest Fri-Jado connector app version via the link below:
https://apps.gillz.net/b5640515ba
After this you can choose between an Android and a iOS app depending on the
platform your smartphone is running on.
Once you have downloaded the app you need to install the app on you smartphone.
Note: While using the app to connect the oven make sure mobile data is switched off on your smartphone.

DNS and port numbers can be left default at: 8.8.8.8 and: 8.8.4.4 or also be specified by someone from IT. Select ‘Continue’ and proceed where you left in the ‘get connected’ instructions.
Wi-Fi settings S controller
Below a list of the Wi-Fi related settings in the S controller with a short explanation of them:
Setting | Explanation |
---|---|
Wi-Fi smart Cloud | Option to enable a connection to the Fri-Jado Smart Connect |
website.
Wi-Fi RSSI| Shows the signal level of the Wi-Fi connection. Values are between
– 101dBm and -1dBm. In practice values are between -85dBm and -25dBm. A bad
connection would give -85dBm, a very good connection would give-25dBm.
Wi-Fi Auto Restart| If you set a time of >= 5 minutes here, the machine will
regularly check whether the Wi-Fi no longer receives messages during the set
time interval.
In case there was no communication during that time interval, the Wi-Fi
communication will be restarted. This is intended to be able to automatically
recover any loss of the Wi-Fi connection if there should be long-term
problems.
Start Config| This allows you to force the machine to start a new cloud
configuration. The old Wi-Fi access point data will be deleted at that time
and after a few seconds a smartphone symbol will appear in the top right
corner of the status bar on the screen. From the moment that smartphone symbol
appears, the user can set the cloud configuration on the machine via the
smartphone.
Reset Wi-Fi Chip| This option resets the Wi-Fi chip with an electronic reset
signal and restarts the Wi-Fi communication in the software.
