The Canyon CNS SW-79 is a smart watch that connects to your phone via BT and works with the proprietary Canyon Life app. The watch is equipped with a metal case, a large screen and a convenient button-wheel.

START OF USE

Please remove the protective film from the screen before use.

Charging. A magnetically secured cable is used for charging. Bring the cable to the contacts of the watch in a certain position so that the magnets of the cable attach to
the watch body. Connect the cable to a power source.
WARNING! The output parameters of the power supply must not exceed 5.0 V / 1.0 A.

Turning on. The watch should be at least 5% charged. To turn the watch on press and hold the button for 3-5 seconds until the dial appears.
Turning off. To turn the watch off, on the watch face screen, swipe up to go to the list of apps. Open the Settings app, tap the turning off icon and confirm the action.
Canyon Life installation. To connect your watch to a smartphone, you need to download the free Canyon Life app is available on Google Play and the App Store. Scan the QR code to go to the app store.

Connecting to Canyon Life. Perform the following steps:

  1. Activate BT on your smartphone.
  2. Open the Canyon Life app.
  3. Open the “BT Devices” tab and then tap “Connect BT Device”.
  4. Place your watch and smartphone next to each other and tap “Start”.
  5. Select your watch from the list (SW-79) and tap “Add device”. After connecting to the app, the watch automatically sets the date and time.

Disconnecting from the app. Perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Canyon Life app.
  2. Select the “Settings” tab and tap “Disconnect device”. Confirm disconnection.
  3. On iPhone, you should additionally go to the BT settings and unpair the smartphone and the watch.

MAIN FUNCTIONS

Changing watch faces
On the watch face screen, tap and hold your finger on the screen. This will display a watch face selection indicator. Swipe to the right or left to select the watch face you like, and press the scroll button to set it.

Also, on a watch face screen, you can select another watch face by rotating the scroll button.

Menu navigating
On the watch face screen, swipe down to open a list of functions. It also displays the current date and a battery charge indicator.
Functions include:

Move the slider up and down to find a comfortable brightness level.

Tap to enable or disable vibration when notification is received.

Tap to go to the Weather app to see a more detailed weather forecast.

Tap to use the watch screen as a flashlight.

Tap to turn on theater mode: screen brightness will reduce and vibration will be turned off.
| Connecting
The indicator shows the status of the watch’s connection to your smartphone.

Tap to go to the Settings app.

If the function is disabled, the button changes color to gray.
Swipe up or press the scroll button to return to the watch face screen.

On the watch face screen, swipe to the left to view your current day’s accomplishments and to quickly access some apps. Here you can view your activity and sleep duration data, measure your heart rate and blood oxygen level, and start a sports workout. The weather forecast, camera control and smartphone’s audio player are also available here.

APPLICATIONS

On the watch face screen, swipe up to go to the standard list of apps.
You can scroll through the list of applications by swiping up and down on the screen or by rotating the wheel button.
Note. Some apps require a connection to the Canyon Life app.
Sports
The app is used to start workouts. Several modes are available: walking, running, biking, volleyball, and others. After selecting a workout mode, the parameters will start to be recorded. The results of the workout will be available in the Canyon Life app after the workout is completed. You can also see your training history in the app. For accurate calculation of the parameters, be sure to specify the correct physical data (height, weight, and age) in the Canyon Life settings.
You can measure your heart rate with this app. The measurement can be activated either by launching the app or by calling the “Measure Heart Rate” function in the Canyon Life app on the “Home” tab in the “Heart Rate” section. When running the app on the watch, the measurement process takes about a minute, when running in Canyon Life, it takes about 30 seconds. You can set the period and frequency of automatic heart rate measurement throughout the day in the Canyon Life settings.
Oxygen
The watch can measure blood oxygen saturation level. The measurement will start when you open the application. When the measurement is complete, the screen will display the result and the watch will vibrate (if the vibration is on).
WARNING! The watch is not a medical device. The heart rate monitor data is not a professional medical assessment, but only an estimate one.

Notifications

The app allows you to view notifications of messages and incoming calls. The watch displays eight notifications. New notifications erase old ones. The read notifications are removed from the list. The list of applications from which the watch will receive notifications is set up in Canyon Life.
Sleep monitoring
The app displays the total duration of sleep, which consists of deep and REM sleep phases.
Women’s Calendar
To activate the application, you should select “Female” in the “Gender” setting when entering the physical parameters in Canyon Life and set the calendar. When an event occurs, a notification will be displayed.
Flashlight
When you launch the app, the watch screen displays a white background at maximum brightness.
Camera
The app is used to control your smartphone’s camera remotely. Open Canyon Life and select “Remote Camera Control” in the settings. After this, the application on the watch will start automatically. Tap the watch screen to take a photo on your smartphone.
Player
The app is used to control the audio player running on your smartphone remotely. You can select the next or previous song, start or stop playback.
Breathing
The app is used for breathing exercises in the form of a series of deep inhalations and exhalations. During the exercise, repeat breathing in and out after the image on the screen.
Weather
The app displays the weather forecast for the current and upcoming days.
Settings
The list of settings includes a stopwatch, alarm clock, brightness, vibration, theater mode, reset and turn off functions, and a QR-code link to download the Canyon Life app.

SAFE USAGE RULES

  1. Do not use power supplies that do not meet the requirements (see the description in the datasheet).
  2. Do not press the screen with sharp objects or apply too much pressure.
  3. Do not take the watch apart or try to repair it yourself.
  4. Do not drop, throw or bend the watch.
  5. To avoid injury, do not use the watch if it is cracked or otherwise damaged.
  6. Use a dry cloth or a cloth dampened with a little water for cleaning (do not use aggressive chemicals or cleansers). Clean only after disconnecting from the power supply.
  7. Do not place the watch near heaters or open flames. Do not expose them to direct sunlight for long periods of time.
  8. Do not swim or dive with the watch, or place it under strong jets of water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Solution
The watch does not turn on Connect the USB cable to charge the device and

The Canyon Life app does not detect the watch| Make sure you connect the watch in the app, not in the BT settings
There are constant disconnections from the smartphone| Allow the application to run in the background and remove any other restrictions

WARRANTY OBLIGATIONS

The warranty period begins on the date of purchase from a seller authorized by Canyon. The date shown on your sales receipt or on the delivery note is taken as the date of purchase. During the warranty period, repairs, replacements or refunds are at the manufacturer’s discretion.
To be eligible for warranty service, the product must be returned to the Seller at the place of purchase along with proof of purchase (receipt or consignment note).
Warranty – 2 years from the date of purchase. The service life is 2 years.

DISPOSAL INFORMATION

These symbols indicate that you should follow the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations when disposing of the device. According to the regulations, the device, its batteries and accumulators, and its electrical and electronic accessories must be disposed of separately at the end of their service life.
Do not dispose of the device together with unsorted municipal waste, as this would be harmful to the environment.
