HOFTRONIC 5436024 Vienna Tiltable Smart Downlight

Please read these instructions and retain them for future reference.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

It is recommended that the fittings are installed by a qualified electrician ensuring the installation complies with current IEE wiring regulations & local building control. These products are designed for connection to a 220-240V mains supply. Always switch off the mains supply before installation.

1. Download Hoftronic Smart App – Scan the QR code on the right to download the Hoftronic Smart App. You can also search “Hoftronic Smart” in either Apple App Store or Google Play to install the App.
2. Register a Hoftronic Smart account and sign in to the App – You will be prompted to enter your mobile number or email address to register. The system automatically recognizes your country/area. You can also select your country code. Note: If you use a Mobile number you will be sent a text message with your confirmation code to complete your account registration.
3. Add a lamp to Hoftronic Smart App – Tap the icon “+” on the top right corner of the “Home” page, choose ‘Lighting’ and your device type – Smart light (WIFI+BLE), then follow the instructions to connect the lamp. The lamp needs to be set to flash rapidly. Please follow Steps A and B below:
4. Enter the Wi-Fi password, then connect. Make sure your router, mobile, and lamp are as close as possible.
5. After connection, the lamp will appear in your list and you can control it from anywhere in the world. You can also rename the lamp and group more lamps.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Before installation or maintenance ensure that the main supply to the downlight is switched off and the circuit supply fuses are removed or the circuit breaker turned off.
2. A qualified electrician MUST be used for the installation of this downlight
3. This downlight must be installed to the current edition of the IEE wiring regulations and relevant building regulations in your country.
4. Check that the total load of the circuit, including when this downlight is fitted, does not exceed
5. the rating of the circuit table, fuse of the circuit breaker.
6. This downlight is designed for indoor and outdoor use.
7. Do not cover the downlight with insulation materials.
8. Make sure that 50mm above and around the downlight is free airflow.
9. The downlight should not be installed within 50mm of any joints.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Test the downlight before installing it for correct operation.
2. Cut a suitable hole in the ceiling as per the cut-out details ensuring that it does not interfere with electrical cable, water/gas pipes or ceiling joints. Carefully fold back any insulation material so as to allow at least 50mm of free circulation of air. Remove the terminal cover on the driver by removing the screws, inserting a screwdriver into the front gap and opening the cover.
3. Connect the main cable into the terminal block ensuring correct polarity is observed and that if the stranded cable is used that all strands are terminated.
4. Re-fit the terminal cover securing the mains cable under the cable clamp.
5. Place the loop in loop out driver through the hole and into the ceiling cavity.
6. Fit the downlight into the hole in the ceiling with the 2 spring climb bent back.

DIMMING
The downlight comes as standard with the dimmable loop-in loop-out LED driver that allows the user to regulate the light output to best suit their lighting needs. Dimmable only via the Hoftronic Smart app.

PLEASE NOTE

•  The driver can be used with the most trailing and leading edge dimmers, though this is not guaranteed.
•  Please examine carefully the manufacturer’s guide on the dimmer switch you intend to use and check the compatibility.
•  In some cases, you may need to change your dimmer if the unit flickers or does not dim smoothly.

BEZEL REPLACEMENT
Alternative color bezels are available. The downlight has magnetic surface, to change the bezel click very easily another bezel on the downlight.
