Haloview Sens 3 World-First Wireless Advanced Driving Assistance System User Manual

Precautions

Thank you for choosing our millimeter-wave blind spot monitoring system. This system is mainly composed of two millimeter-wave radar sensors, left and right alarm light buzzers, and a radar control box. It is a high-end blind spot monitoring and lane-changing auxiliary system. The product can simultaneously complete the distance and speed measurement of multiple targets behind the vehicle, and transmit it to the radar control box wirelessly. After that, the radar control box sends out an audible and visual alarm to remind the driver.

There is a certain blind spot in the vehicle rearview mirror angle of view, which brings safety hazards to driving, especially in bad weather, like snow or rain. Equipped with this millimeter wave blind spot monitoring system, once moving objects detected on both sides of the vehicle that approach the blind spot, a warning signal will be transmitted to the radar control box with alarm light flashing and beeping, which greatly reduce accident.

This product is easy to install and wiring-free. Magnetic bracket is supported for vehicles with metal surface (thicker than 1 mm). For other vehicles with plastic, glass fiber or aluminum alloy body surface, we provide adhesive metal plate, which can be used together with magnetic bracket.

Sincerely thank you for choosing our product, we wish you a pleasant journey!

IMPORTANT TIPS

Special vehicle conditions that should be considered
If the vehicle is driven before a GPS connection is established or if the GPS connection is interrupted (inside a tunnel, parking structure, etc), the system may not function properly, producing incorrect or false warnings or falling to produce a warning. Once the GPS connection is established or re- established, GPS indicator will flash.

The following may compromise the effectiveness of the system:

  • Incorrect installation angle.
  • Vehicle with metal obstruction in front of the sensor.
  • Improper sensor mounting location on vehicle, ie. center of the vehicle bumper.

Situations that may affect system detection accuracy:

  • Metal objects are in the direct path of the sensing signal.
  • Weather such as heavy rain, snow, or icy road may cause changes in sensitivity.
  • Gravel roads, which may cause interference due to dust and flying stones.

THIS PRODUCT FUNCTIONS ASAN AID FOR NOTIFYING THE PRESENCE OF OBSTACLES IN VEHICLE BLIND SPOTS. IT DOES NOT DETECT ALL DANGERS AND OBSTACLES, AND IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR YOUR JUDGEMENTAND CAREFUL ATTENTION. BEFORE ANY MANEUVER, VISUALLY CHECK BOTH SIDES OF THE VEHICLE TO CONFIRM.

THE RADAR DETECTION SYSTEM DOES NOT REPLACE ANY FUNCTIONS DRIVERS SHALL ORDINARILY PERFORM IN DRIVING A MOTOR VEHICLE, NOR DOES IT DECREASE THE NEED FOR DRIVERS TO STAY VIGILANT AND ALERT IN ALL DRIVING CONDITIONS, TO OBEYALL THE SAFE DRIVING STANDARDS, PRACTICES, TRAFFIC RULES AND REGULATIONS.

Alert Conditions

The system is designed to detect the following events:

  1. Blind spots while driving: Objects in the blind spot areas around your vehicle–in the lanes on the left / right and directly behind the vehicle at a distance of up to 70m (depends on the speed difference).
  2. Blind spots while being passed / overtaken: When vehicles are approaching / overtaking your vehicle from behind, or when your vehicle approaches and passes a moving vehicle.

Caution

The radar system can detect not only objects approaching your vehicle from behind, but also objects that your vehicle is approaching or overtaking. Under certain driving scenarios, the radar system may detect objects in an unintended way . The following conditions below are examples of scenarios where fault notifications may occur.

  1. Vehicle behind is too close

  2. Getting into wide lane when changing lanes

  3. Vehicle detected while changing lane

  4. Vehicle getting close when turning

  5. Fence or concrete wall

  6. Fence or wall is getting narrow

  7. Tunnel entrance

  8. Smaller turning radius
