User Manual
Product Introduction
This smart water sensor is a device that can detect water leak and submersion,
and monitor the two states of no water inflow to water inflow and water inflow
t o retreat. It will send us a real-time notification message through the
INKBIRD app when there i s water leakage or submersion. This product should be
used with a device that features the function of gateway IBS-M2.
Short press the action button to transmit data t o the gateway once, and the
indicator will light up once, I f the gateway successfully receives the data,
the buzzer will alarm once t o verify the effective distance of wireless
communication.

APP Connection
3 . 1 Add The Device
a.Follow the gateway’s user manual t o add the gateway (IBS-M2) to the app.
b . Install the batteries for the water leak sensor (transmitter) and confirm
thatit works properly. T h e n put it as close as possible t o the gateway
(IBS-M2).
c.Open the app and go t o the gateway device page. Click the “+” in the upper
right corner t o enter the “Add Device” page and follow the prompts t o
continue.
I f adding the device fails, move the device close to the gateway and repeat
steps atoc.
3.2 Installation Guide
- Place the device directly on the surface t o be monitored.
- Verify the effective distance: Press the action button of the device placed on the preselected installation locaion . The gateway will emit a tone, indicating that the device can effectively communicate with the gateway.
- ensure stable wireless communication, do NOT install the device on any metal surface.

- Please do not disassemble the product if you are not a professional.
- Be sure that the sensor i s not covered with dust as dust may lead to inaccurate measurements.
- Do not use alcohol t o clean the sensor.
Product Warranty
This i t e m carries a 1-year warranty against defects in either components or workmanship. During this period, products that prove t o b e defective will, at the discretion of INKBIRD, be either repaired or replaced without charge.

These limits are designed t o provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy, and if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference t o radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference t o radio or television reception , which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
— Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
– Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
– Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to
which the receiver is connected.
— Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator & your body. This transmitter must not be c o – located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
