PASCO PK-9025B Conductive Paper with Grid
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Introduction
The Conductive Paper with Grid is designed for plotting equipotentials and electric fields. Its resistivity is greater than 2 kΩ per square. Only clean, smooth metallic probes or graphite from a pencil should be used to make electrical contact to the paper. The paper should be used with the Conductive Ink Pen (PK-9031B).
The pattern on the back of this page can be used to make photocopies of the conductive paper’s grid pattern. Care has been taken to ensure that the size and location of lines and crossing points are the same as the pattern on the conductive paper. Students can draw the shape and size of their conductive ink electrodes on their copy of the grid paper. Once the sketch is drawn, students can transfer their readings of voltage or pattern of equipotential lines onto the sketch.
NOTE: Many copiers slightly reduce or enlarge images when making photocopies. The numbering along the edges should reduce the amount of inaccuracy involved with the experiment.
