Preparing the Thermometer
Remove the thermometer from its packaging and check for any visible damage. Ensure that the battery is installed and functional. -
Powering On the Thermometer

Device description
The Mercury Free Clinical Thermometer is an enclosed cale metallic liquid-in- glass thermometer that consists of temperature-sensing liquid, a glass tube (called a capillary), a scale card, and a glass shell. The temperature- sensoring liquid is a gallium-based alloy (Gallium, Indium, and Tin) contained in the glass tube; the scale card is fixed on the inner wall of the glass shell; the glass tube is at the center of the glass shell. The device works on the principle of thermal expansion of substances. The temperature range is 35°C~42°C.

Use 75% alcohol to disinfect and clean the glass thermometer before and after
each use.

If the thermometer is damaged or leaked, use a brush, paper towel, or gauze dipped in soapy water to remove the spilled liquid, and the broken glass fragments can be treated as household garbage.
Direction for use
- Before measuring the body temperature, check that the liquid column of the glass thermometer is below 36°C.
- Use 75% alcohol to disinfect and clean the glass thermometer before and after each use.
- According to the measurement method, place the thermometer on the corresponding body part for measurement.
- It takes 6 minutes for the thermometer to accurately measure the body temperature, and then slowly rotate the thermometer back and forth to get an accurate reading; the measurement of the measuring liquid column in the thermometer glass capillary on the temperature scale shows the measured temperature of the human body.
- After the measurement is completed, the measuring liquid must be returned to the temperature-sensitive bubble of the thermometer. You need to firmly hold the upper end of the thermometer, shake your wrist down 5-12 times, and shake the liquid column in the glass capillary below 36°C.
Maintenance
- Before using the thermometer, make sure that the glass jacket is tightly sealed. When measuring, please be especially careful to avoid damaging the glass case.
- Use 75% alcohol to disinfect and clean the glass thermometer before and after each use.
- After use, it should be put into the equipped hard plastic tube in time to avoid damage during storage.
Usage, Storage, and Transportation conditions
The ambient temperature should not be lower than 0°C or higher than 42°C, the air should be dry, the relative humidity should not exceed 80%, and there should be no corrosive gas. Good ventilation is required indoors.
