Product Usage Instructions

Connecting Mi Band 8 to Strava
If your Mi Band 8 fails to connect to Strava, follow these steps:

  1. Check Bluetooth Connection:
    • For Android: Go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth and  search for your device.
    • For iOS: Go to Settings > Bluetooth and search for your device under My devices.
  2. Check Strava Permissions:
    • Go to Settings > Applications on your phone.
    • Check the Permissions section of each app (Strava and Mi Fitness) to ensure all permissions are granted.
  3. Ensure Good Data Coverage:
    • Strava and Mi Fitness require an active internet connection for synchronization.
    • If syncing fails, verify you are in a good data coverage area.
  4. Authorize Strava Sync:
    • Go to Profile > Connected apps in Strava.
    • Enable Strava and authorize the connection using your Strava login.

Syncing with Apple Health (iOS)
To sync Mi Band 8 with Apple Health

  1. Connect Mi Band tracker to Mi Fit app.
  2. Grant permission to sync with Apple Health when prompted.
  3. Manually configure sync by going to Apple Health app, tapping profile, selecting Apps’, thenMi Fit’, and enabling all permissions.

Syncing with Google Fit (Android)
To sync Mi Band 8 with Google Fit

Mi Band 8 Connectivity Manual

Strava

  • Should the Mi band 8 fail to connect to Strava, we have some possible problems and solutions below:

  • Your device may not be connected to the phone via Bluetooth.

  • To check if your device is connected to the phone via Bluetooth, for Android, go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth and search for your device. For iOS, go to Settings > Bluetooth and search for your device under My devices.

  • Your device may be disconnected from Strava.

  • To check permissions, on your phone, go to Settings > Applications. Check the Permissions section of each app (Strava and Mi Fitness) to make sure all permissions have been granted.

  • Poor data coverage can cause synchronisation problems. Check your data
    coverage area, both Strava and Mi Fitness require an active internet connection to load, refresh or sync data. If syncing fails, check that you are in a good data coverage area.

  • Check that you have given Strava permission to sync with Mi Fitness. To do so, go to Profile > Connected apps.

  • Check that you have enabled Strava. You will be prompted to authorise the connection between the two devices. Use your Strava login to authorise the connection.

  • If you are still experiencing problems syncing, we recommend you contact Mi Fitness support directly.

Apple Health (IOS)

  • See below for instructions on how to sync the Mi Band 8 with Apple Health:
  • Once the Mi Band tracker is connected to the Mi Fit app, the app will ask permission to sync with Apple Health.
  • If not, you can manually configure your Mi Fit app to sync with Apple’s Health app. To do this:
  • Go to the Apple Health app Tap your profile in the top right corner >Select ‘Apps’ > ‘Mi Fit’ > ‘Enable all’ here.

Google Fit (Android)

Once the Mi Band 8 is connected to the Mi Fit app, you need to configure your Mi Fit app to sync with the Google Fit app. To do this:

  • Go to the Mi Fit app and tap ‘Profile’ > ‘Add accounts’ > ‘Google Fit’ > Add your Google Fit account here
