MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS:
- It is the responsibility of the adult who assembles this product to properly install all parts included in the carton. These instructions are valuable.
- Check nuts and bolts often and tighten if necessary.
- Any parts showing evidence of wear should be replaced immediately.
- Check all screws and their protective coverings regularly and tighten as required. Check plastic parts on a regular basis for cracks or broken pieces.
- The vehicle should always be stored inside, especially during rainy or snowy weather.
- Do not operate the vehicle in wet or snowy conditions.
- Do not clean the vehicle by spraying with a hose. Water or moisture in the motors, battery, or electrical components can cause component failure.
- To clean the vehicle use a dry cloth. A non-wax furniture polish can be used to clean plastic parts. Do not spray the vehicle with a hose or submerge in water.
GUIDELINES FOR SAFE DRIVING:
Before children use this vehicle, an adult should carefully evaluate the driving area as well as the child’s ability to drive the vehicle safely. Children should demonstrate the capability to handle the vehicle and operate its controls. Teach appropriate safety rules including the warning below to any child using the vehicle before operating.

Not to be used by children under 3 years of age.

Always determine which speed setting is appropriate for your child based on their skill level.

Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 81 lb (36.7 kg.)

Never leave child unattended. Continuous adult supervision is required.

To prevent unsupervised use of the vehicle, unclip the battery connection.
-
Remain seated with your body in the seat, one foot on each side of the steering wheel, and both hands on the steering wheel. Keep hands on the steering wheel and feed inside the unit at all times when in motion.

Avoid contact with moving/rotating parts such as the motor, gearbox, and wheels. Body parts such as hands, legs, hair and clothing can get caught in moving parts. Contact with these parts can cause serious injury.

Always wear shoes while operating vehicle.

Never use the vehicle in an unsafe manner. Examples include but are not limited to:
a. Operating the vehicle when it’s positioned on its side or upside-down
b. Operating the vehicle at night or in low visibility
c. Allowing more than one rider
d. Traveling at an unsafe speed
e. Going over jumps or any type of ramps
f. Not riding in a seated position
g. Pulling the vehicle with another ride-on or similar product
h. Operating on loose dirt, mud, sand, and rough surfaces -
Do not operate the vehicle near steep inclines as it can cause the following:
a. Unsafe speed, even if the pedal is released
b. Tipping
c. Loss of traction, causing the vehicle to slip
d. Rolling backwards at an unsafe speed -
Do not operate in wet conditions such as rain or snow.

Do not operate the vehicle near flammable vapors (gasoline, paint thinner, acetone, liquid wax, etc.) as the electrical switch emits an internal spark, which could cause an explosion or fire.

The seat belt arrangement supplied is intended for “play” use only. It is not an ASTM-approved safety belt system and is not intended to function as an approved restraining device.
PRE-DRIVE CHECKLIST
Before every ride, it is important to carry out the following safety
checks:
Steering:
- The steering wheel is tightened and secured.
- The seat is positioned so the rider can easily operate and steer the vehicle. There should be no difficulty turning or operating the foot pedal.
Wheels:
- The wheels are securely attached and in good condition.
- All bolts are fastened and guards are in place.
Electronics:
- The battery is fully charged.
- The charging cord is not attached to thevehicle in anyway.
- No wiring is exposed, worn, or detached.
- All electrical buttons, including the power button and foot pedal, function properly.
- If the vehicle shows any sign of electrical damage, do not drive until the condition is corrected.
Vehicle:
- The vehicle is clean, dry, and in good condition
- The seat is securely attached.
- There are no cracks or structural damage.
- Do not ride a vehicle that is not in proper working condition.
Safety:
- Appropriate safety gear, like an approved safety helmet, is being used.
- The product is set to the correct speed given the child’s skill level.

BATTERY WARNINGS:
DANGER:
To prevent electric shock, do not immerse in water; wipe clean with a dry
cloth.
WARNING:
TO PREVENT FIRE, EXPLOSIONS OR SERIOUS INJURY
- Read the safety instructions on the battery.
- Examine the battery, charger, and all connections for excessive wear or damage before each use. Do not use if damage or wear is found. Replace immediately.
- Always secure the battery using the battery retainer.
- Only carry the battery by holding onto the main casing.
- Never modify the electrical system.
- Use only Radio Flyer battery and charger specifically meant for this product.
- Do not use Radio Flyer components in other battery operated vehicles/toys.
- Do not touch motor after prolonged periods of use. Motor housing may be hot. Handle carefully.
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged by adults.
- This battery can expose you to chemicals including lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
DANGER/POISON:
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not open battery.
CAUTION: Use the charger in dry locations only.
BATTERY CARE:
- The battery must be handled by adults only. The battery is heavy and contains sulfuric acid.
- If the battery begins to leak, avoid contact with the leaking acid and place the battery in a plastic bag. If acid comes in contact with skin, eyes, or is internally ingested contact a physician immediately. See section titled “Battery Disposal” for proper disposal instructions.
- Never allow the battery to discharge completely. Battery should be charged before it is completely drained.
- Charge the battery before storing the vehicle.
- Fully charge the battery at least once per month, even if the product hasn’t been used. Leaving the battery in a discharged state can shorten the life of the battery.
- Charge the battery after each use, regardless of how long the vehicle was used.
- Store the battery in temperatures between 35 °F (1.7 °C) and 77 °F (25.0 °C) for optimal performance.
- Never charge the battery longer than 18 hours. Failure to follow these instructions may damage your battery and will void your warranty.
BATTERY DISPOSAL:
- Recycle or dispose of non-spillable sealed lead-acid battery in an environmentally sound manner.
- Do not dispose of your lead-acid battery in a fire. The battery may explode or leak.
- Do not dispose of your lead-acid battery in your regular household trash. The incineration, landfilling, or mixing of sealed lead-acid batteries with household trash is prohibited by law in most areas.
- Return an exhausted battery to a federal or state approved lead-acid battery recycler, such as a local seller of automotive batteries. Contact your local waste management officials for other information regarding the environmentally sound collection, recycling and disposal of lead-acid batteries. If you live in the State of Florida or the State of Minnesota, it is prohibited by law for anyone to throw away lead-acid batteries in the municipal waste stream.
ATTENTION:
TO CONSERVE BATTERY LIFE:
- Power vehicle OFF after every use.
- The car will also automatically turn off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
WARNING: ADULT ASSEMBLY REQUIRED.
Choking hazard to children under the age of 3 years – contains small parts
prior to assembly. All fasteners should be fully tightened.
Children should not handle parts, including the battery and electrical
components, or help with assembling the vehicle.
Please keep instructions for future reference.
BATTERY CHARGING:
Red Light: Charging – Do not ride.
Green Light: Fully Charged – Ready to ride.
Never charge the battery longer than 18 hours.
- Before first use, you must fully charge the battery.
- Contains non-spillable sealed lead battery. Must be recycled. To charge battery: Input: 120 VAC 60Hz Output: 36 VDC
- Regularly check charger for frays and damage. If damaged is observed, do not plug in charger and do not charge battery.
- Only use the provided Radio Flyer 24 volt charger to charge the 24 volt battery. Power source or wall outlet must be 120 VAC and 60Hz. If the wall outlet is controlled by an on/off switch ensure that the switch is on.
- Charge the battery after every use.
- Never charge the battery longer than 18 hours. Failure to follow these instructions may damage your battery and will void your warranty.
- Once the battery is completely charged, disconnect the charger from the wall outlet and remove the charger plug from the battery.
- The battery does not need to be removed from the vehicle. Keep the battery in the rear compartment when charging.
- Before charging the battery, examine the battery case for cracks and other damage which may cause sulfuric acid to leak. If damage is detected, please call Radio Flyer Customer Service immediately and do not use the product any further.
24V battery must be fully charged before use.
SHIFTING:
3: High Speed 8 mph – advanced driving skills.
2: Medium speed 5.5 mph – moderate driving skills.
1: Low speed 2 mph – beginner driving.
R: Reverse 2 mph.
- Always choose the appropriate speed setting based on the child’s driving ability.
- Change speed restriction level by screwing restrictor in corresponding hole:

Vehicle Does Not Run Or
Suddenly Stops| Undercharged battery| Charge the battery. Battery should be
charged before first use. After every use, recharge the battery until the LED
light turns from RED to GREEN. Never charge the battery longer than 18 hours.
Check battery connections during charging. Check all wires and connectors.
Make sure that they are connected properly. See assembly step 7.
Make sure wall outlet power is “ON.”
Charger is not working| Ensure that the LED light on the charger is RED while
charging. Contact Radio Flyer
Customer Service if LED light is not on.
Tripped Thermal Fuse/Switch| Thermal switch may have tripped because the
vehicle was overloaded or the driving conditions were too severe. Once the
switch/fuse has tripped, release the pedal and wait 30 seconds before
operating the vehicle again. To avoid tripping the fuse, do not overload the
vehicle by exceeding the 81.0 lb (36.7 kg) maximum weight capacity. Do not
pull anything behind the vehicle or drive up hills as it will trip the fuse.
Do not run into fixed objects, which can cause the wheels to stop spinning and
ultimately trip the fuse.
Loose Wire/Connector| Check all wires and connectors. Make sure that they are
connected properly. See assembly step 7.
Old Battery| Improper care and charging longer than 18 hours may lead to a
shorter battery life.
Please contact Radio Flyer customer service for replacement parts.
Defective Motor| Call Radio Flyer Customer Service for additional support.
Short Run Time
(Less than 30 Minutes)| Undercharged battery| Charge the battery. Battery
should be charged before first use. After every use, recharge the battery
until the LED light turns from RED to GREEN. Never charge the battery longer
than 18 hours.
Check battery connections during charging. Check all wires and connectors.
Make sure that they are connected properly. See assembly steps 7.
Make sure wall outlet power is “ON.”
Overcharged Battery| The battery should not be charged for more than 18 hours.
Charging for periods greater than 18 hours can cause damage to the battery
life.
Old Battery| Improper care and charging longer than 18 hours may lead to a
shorter battery life.

Vehicle is Running Slow| Vehicle is Overloaded| Maximum weight capacity = 81.0
lb (36.7 kg). Overloading the vehicle will cause lower speeds.
Driving Conditions Are Too Severe| Driving on hard level ground is preferred.
Driving on an incline will decrease the speed of the vehicle.
Undercharged battery| Charge the battery. Battery should be charged before
first use. After every use, recharge the battery until the LED light turns
from RED to GREEN. Never charge the battery longer than 18 hours.
Check battery connections during charging. Check all wires and connectors.
Make sure that they are connected properly. See assembly step 7.
Make sure wall outlet power is “ON.”
Old Battery| Improper care and charging longer than 18 hours may lead to a
shorter battery life.

Vehicle Won’t Run When the Pedal is Depressed| Loose Wire/Connector| Check all
