Connection diagram
NOTE! The adapter should be plugged into the USB port that is for wired Apple CarPlay connecting if there are multiple USB ports in your car.
Connect to CarPlay
- Connect this Bluetooth device
- Proceed to pair it with your phone
- Obtain the permission to sync Contacts
- Confirm product’s Bluetooth name
- Enter the main interface of the product
- Use CarPlay
AirPlay projection
- Disconnect Bluetooth connection
- Double-press this button to enter the AirPlay interface and follow the interface prompts to operate
- Enter the main interface of the product.
How to quickly switch to another phone
- The device takes record of the last two recently connected phones.
- Restarting the device automatically connects you to the last connected phone
- Pressing this button will automatically disconnect the current phone with a flashing red light.
- When the light tuns blue,it will automatically connect to the other recorded phone.
Lights & Buttons
Firmware update
Firmware updating is NOT recommended when every function works well.
NOTE/ The red and blue indicator lights will flash alternately while updating. Wait for more than 30s after light is always on, then disconnect and reconnect the adapter from the USB port to finish the whole update.
Update on iPhone
- If your iPhone is connecting to the wireless CarPlay, enter 192.168.1.101 on the iPhone’s browser, next tap “Update” if there is an update available.
- If your iPhone cannot connect to the wireless CarPlay, please join the adapter’s WiFi network AdapterMX-xxxx] manually and the password is 88888888. Next, enter 192.168.1.101 on iPhone’s browser, and tap “Update”.
Update on Android smartphone
- If you have connected to Android Auto wirelessly, disable Bluetooth and forget the WiFi network first.
- While powered on, press the button and hold for 3s then release. The LED indicator will switch to a green light after 1-2 seconds.
- On your phone, go to WiFi » Advanced settings » WiFi direct, tap [AdapterMX-xxxx] and make sure it has connected.
- Enter 192.168.1.101 on the smartphone browser, and next tap “Update” if there is an update available.
