Product Usage Instructions

Connecting MX for Wireless Carplay, Wireless Android Auto, and Mirroring:

Wireless Carplay:

1. Plug MX into the car’s USB interface.
2. Turn on WiFi and Bluetooth on your phone.
3. Connect your phone to MX’s Bluetooth (Bluetooth name: AdapterMX-xxxx).
4. Click Allow for all prompt pop-ups on your phone.
5. Access the Carplay interface.

Wireless Android Auto:

1. Install the Android Auto App on your smartphone.
2. Enable [Wireless Android Auto] in the App settings.
3. Plug MX into the car’s USB interface.
4. Pair your phone’s Bluetooth with MX (device name starts with AdapterMX-xxxx).
5. Allow all pop-ups on your phone to establish the connection.

iPhone Mirroring:

1. Double-click the function button to enter screen projection mode.
2. Connect your phone to MX’s WiFi (WiFi name: AdapterMX-xxxx, WiFi password: 88888888).
3. Follow the screen projection steps on the car’s screen.

Upgrading Firmware:

Methods:

1. Click on the APP Firmware Update to upgrade.
2. If using an iPhone:

How to connect MX to use wireless carplay, wireless Android Auto, and Mirroring?

Connect wireless Carplay

1. MX is plugged into the USB interface of the car, which is an interface for connecting iPhones using wired carplay.
2. Make sure your phone’s WiFi and Bluetooth options are both turned on. Settings – Network & Internet
3. Use your mobile phone to connect to the Bluetooth of MX. Bluetooth name: AdapterMX-xxxx. After Bluetooth pairing, the Bluetooth interface will appear on the car interface (picture below). (Sometimes you have to click on the CarPlay icon on the car display to enter.
4. After connecting to Bluetooth, you need to click Allow for all prompt pop-ups that appear on your phone. After allowing, you can enter the carplay interface

Connect wireless Android Auto

1. Install the Android Auto App on your smartphone, and then enable [Wireless Android Auto] in the Android Auto App settings. Please make sure your phone’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions are turned on.
2. Plug MX into the USB interface, then you can see the device name starting with ” AdapterMX-xxxx ” on the phone, and pair the phone’s Bluetooth with it.
3. Once the connection is complete, allow all pop-ups. At this time, you can connect your phone to MX and use the wireless Android Auto function normally.

Using iPhone Mirroring

1. Quickly click the function button twice to enter the screen projection mode, and the screen projection guidance interface will appear on the screen of the car.
2. Follow the screencasting steps, connect your phone to MX’s WiFi, WiFi name: AdapterMX-xxxx, WiFi password: 88888888
3. Enter the quick navigation settings to find Airplay and click on the name of MX to enter iPhone screen mirroring.

Which cars can be used?

• This device works with all cars with wired CarPlay and wired Android Auto
• The car has both wired CP and wired AA functions, and can use wireless CP, wireless AA, and screen projection.
• If the car only has a wired CP, it can only use the wireless CP and screen projection functions, but cannot use the wireless AA function.
• If the car only has wired AA, it can only use the wireless AA function, and cannot use the wireless CP and screen projection functions.
