EIZO 8020 14 Inch Rgb Color Monitor
INTRODUCTION
- Thank you for purchasing the RGB color monitor model 8020.
- We appreciate your patronage and are confident that you will be pleased with its performance.
- The 14-inch color monitor model 8020 is designed to match up with various personal computers (YAMAHA YIS-805) as the high-resolution monitor.
- This manual is drawn up to explain their features and operation procedures.
MAIN FEATURES
- This monitor can operate from 127V~240V nominal AC power input.
- Very sharp and clear picture using the latest 14″,90° deflection CRT.
- Switchable “Color”, “Amber” or “Green” function is available as standard for text mode.
- Audio input, speaker, and audio output for earphones are built in.
- Low power consumption (65W).
- Simple, compact design and lightweight (net weight 11.5kg)
- The following user controls are adjustable with no tools.
- Front———- Brightness, Contrast, Green-C-Amber, Audio
- Rear —H-Size, V-Size, H-Hold, V-Hold, H-Position, V-Position
USING THE MONITOR
INTERCONNECTION
- This section explains the interconnection of model 8020 to each computer. (YAMAHA YIS-805)
- Cable with connector is supplied with the monitor.
- CAUTION! Disconnect both the monitor and the computer from the AC power source while interconnecting the two units.
CONNECTIONS AND CONTROLS
OPERATION
- Connect the cable with connector supplied with the monitor to the computer.
- Plug both the monitor and the computer into the wall socket.
- Turn on the monitor and the computer power switches. The indicator lamp will light up when the power is turned on.
- After a brief warm-up period, adjust the brightness and contrast con- trols on the front panel to give a comfortable screen level.
- Turning the Green-C-Amber switch clockwise (counterclockwise) will change the character color to green (amber). To reset, turn it counter- clockwise (clockwise).
- Display stability, width, height, and position have been preset at the factory and should not require further adjustment. If further adjustment of display is required due to design differences among computers, refer to the USER MAINTENANCE section.
- Adjust the audio volume to required level using the volume control on the front panel.
- In using the earphone instead of the speaker of the monitor, connect it to the audio output (3.5mm mini jack) on the front panel.
PRECAUTIONS WHILE OPERATING
- To ensure proper air circulation, do not leave any objects on top of the monitor cabinet.
- Do not place any liquids on top of the monitor cabinet.
- Do not use or store the monitor in direct sunlight.
- Avoid excessive heat, dust or humidity.
- Be sure that the monitor is firmly positioned on its supporting surface.
- Keep the monitor away from speaker systems or other strong magnetic fields.
- Keep the power cord away from where people will step on it or trip over it.
- Always remove the power cord and interface cables by grasping the plugs and pulling.
USER MAINTENANCE
- Warning! To prevent electrical shock, do not remove the cover. No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
- Caution! Except as noted below, refer all maintenance to authorized repair facilities.
- To keep your monitor’s screen and cabinet clean, turn off the monitor and wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use any spray cleaner, waxes or solvents.
- The following phenomena may be seen in the display when signals other than the recommended signals are received. Use the rear panel controls on the monitor to adjust the picture.
