D10x Connect GIRA IP Video Door Station
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
- DoorBird IP Video Door Station D10x/D11x/D21x Series.
- Gira G1.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The following guide will help you set up a DoorBird IP Video Door Station
in connection with the Gira device.
Please ensure the Gira device receives an IP address and is connected to the
same local network as your DoorBird IP Video Door Station.
Please also make sure that your DoorBird is online using this service:
https://www.doorbird.com/checkonline
The local IP address of your DoorBird is available from the same page.
Note on video functionality : The Gira device does not handle video but instead sets up a direct video connection between the devices used. Please make sure the Gira device you plan to use with your DoorBird IP Video Door Station is set up for video.
- You can perform a SIP call from DoorBird intercom to Gira unit and Vice-versa.
- During the SIP call you can trigger the DoorBird relay to open the door.
SETTING UP THE GIRA DEVICE
1.1 Connect Gira device with the power supply.
1.3 Select “Only use applications” –> Door communication. Click on Next.
1.2 Enter your details (Language, Accept the license agreement, Time zone).
Click on Next.
1.4 Select SIP door communication system. Click on Next.
1.5 The basic configuration will be complete. Click on Start to apply the configuration.
1.6 Click on Settings –> Click on System.
1.7 Click on Network connection type –> Select WLAN. Click on ok.
1.8 Click on Configure network –> Select DHCP activated. Click on ok.
1.9 Configure WLAN –> to connect with WiFi.
1.10 After connecting to the internet. Click on Configure Network, note down
the IP address.

SETTING UP THE SIP CONFIGURATION WITH GIRA
2.1 Enter the IP address of the Gira device on the browser.
2.2 Log in to the Gira device UI using the credentials.
2.3 You can see the details of the Gira device.
2.4 Go to SIP Door Communication page.
2.5 Select Type of SIP calls –> Direct(internal network only).
Display name –> Gira G1.
Tick on “Allow outgoing calls to door stations and cameras”. Click on save.
2.6 Click on Add SIP contact –> To add the DoorBird details.
2.7 Select Type of the SIP Contact –> Door Station.
SIP address of the station –> sip:192.168.178.5(IP address of the DoorBird).
Enter the Display name for DoorBird.
Enter the DTMF code (If you want to open the door during the call).
Tick on “This contact has a camera”. Click on save.
2.8 After completing Section 3 the Added SIP contact will display green indicating the SIP is configured successfully.
SETTING UP THE DOORBIRD IP VIDEO DOOR STATION
For the DoorBird IP Video Door Station to be properly able to communicate with the Gira device, the DoorBird device’s SIP settings must be adjusted accordingly.
3.1 Open the DoorBird App and log into the administration area under “Settings → Administration” using the administrator username and password credentials from the “DIGITAL PASSPORT” document that was shipped with your DoorBird IP Video Door Station.
3.2 Choose “SIP Settings” from the menu and activate the “SIP active” switch.
Activate DTMF and Enter DTMF code if you want to open the Door during the SIP
call.
3.3. Allow Incoming calls to receive call from the Gira device. Click on Add
–> 192.168.178.10
Enter the IP address of the Gira Device. Save the SIP Settings.
3..4. Since the connection between the Gira device and DoorBird IP Video Door
Station will be peer-to-peer, no further settings are required on this screen,
and the following fields should be left blank.
3.5 Go back to the main administration area and tap on “SIP Numbers”, then tap
“Add” Name –> Gira , SIP Address –> Gira@192.168.178.10 (Enter the IP address
of the Gira device).
3.6 Save the Settings.
To forward calls from the DoorBird IP Video Door Station to the integration, a
schedule for ring events needs to be set up. Depending on the model of the
DoorBird IP Video Door Station, choose one of the following options:
A) For all devices without a multi-tenant module (e.g. D1101V, D2101V,
D2101KV, etc.), find the corresponding settings in the DoorBird App
administration menu EXPERT SETTINGS when selecting “Schedule for doorbell”.
In this screen, tap the bell symbol in the upper-left corner, select “SIP
call” and fill out the schedule as per your requirements for this event.
B) For all devices with multiple call buttons (e.g., D2102V, D2103V, D2112V,
etc.), find the corresponding settings in the DoorBird App administration menu
BUTTON CONFIGURATION when selecting “Settings.”
Select the call button to which the event needs to be assigned and go to
“Schedule for actions.”
On this screen, tap the bell symbol in the upper-left corner, select “SIP
call,” and fill out the schedule per your requirements for this event.
C) For all devices with a digital display (e.g. D21DKV), find the
corresponding settings in the DoorBird App administration menu KEYPAD when
selecting “Settings”.
Select the keypad combination the event needs to get assigned and go to
“Schedule for actions”.
In this screen, tap the bell symbol in the upper-left corner, select “SIP
call” and fill out the schedule per your requirements for this event.
Hint: By tapping the button in the upper right corner it is possible to fill or empty the entire schedule.
3.7 Return to the main administration area and save the settings.
3.8 After Completing above configurations, check the SIP call.
