GENADYNE UNO Plus Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System User Guide
About Your Genadyne UNO+ Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System
The Genadyne UNO+ Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) pump is part of a
complete wound care system. The UNO+ NPWT Canister(s) and the NPWT Wound
Dressing Kit are two essential components that actively work together to
promote wound healing. The system also includes a battery charger and a
carrying bag. The UNO+ wound pump removes fluid from a wound using carefully
controlled suction.
Throughout your treatment, be sure to assess your wound and the device to
ensure that the UNO+ pump is working properly.

Alarm Types|
Notifications (What You See or Hear)|
Likely Cause(s) and What To Do
---|---|---
Low Battery
| A visual and audible alert will activate. A flashing orange LED light next
to the Low Battery Icon will turn ON with an audible alert sound. The yellow
LED light remains ON for 3 seconds and OFF for 3 seconds while being charged.
Once charged, the LED light next to the Low Battery Icon will remain ON as
long as the charger is plugged in. Once the charger is disconnected from the
device, the LED will turn OFF.| The battery is low and must be recharged. Plug
in the UNO+ device, and let the pump fully charge for approximately 5 hours.
- The UNO+ device is fully operational while charging.
- Only use the USB charger and USB cable provided with the UNO+ device.
- When the battery is fully charged, it is expected to last for up to 40 hours of operation if the integrity of the dressing is good.
Leak
| A visual and audible alert will activate. When the UNO+ device detects a
small or significant leak, a flashing orange LED light next to the Leak Alert
Icon will turn ON. An audible alert will beep at 1-minute intervals. When the
leak condition has been corrected, audible alerts will stop, and visual alerts
will turn OFF.| There is an air leak in either the dressing or the tubing
connections.
- Slowly run your hand and fingers around the edge of the dressing, pressing down firmly to ensure good contact between the adhesive and skin to verify a good seal. If a leak source is identified, patch with additional UNO+ Transparent Film to ensure seal integrity.
- Ensure the canister is securely locked onto the therapy device. When the canister is installed securely, a distinct click will be heard. indicating it has been properly installed. The canister should be flush with the UNO+ device with no space between the two components.
- Check the dressing tubing connector at the canister.
- Upon correcting a leak condition, a small delay will occur before the UNO+ device senses the connection and silences the alert.
Blockage
| Avisual and audible alert will activate.| There is an obstruction of
airflow. Ensure that the tubing and dressing are installed securely and
without any kinks in the tubing to avoid leaks or blockages. It is advisable
to periodically check the dressing on the wound. If you see the dressing is
flat and not wrinkled, but the UNO+ device is not alerting a leak, please
check if there is a kinik in the tubing or a clamp that has not been unclamped
Also, check if there is any blockage along the tubing of the dressing and the
canister.
Cannister Full
| Avisual and audible alert will activate.| The canister is full. Visually
assess the canister to see if it’s full. If the canister is full, change the
canister. (See “Changing the Canister” instructions in this document). If the
canister is not full, turn the UNO+ device OFF by pressing the Power Button
for 3 seconds. Press the Power Button for 3 seconds to restart the device.
