Product Overview

Serenity Choice Pro/Plus are re-usable Ear-Plugs, custom-adapted to the user’s ear. The Serenity Choice Pro/Plus are available in two types of biocompatible materials: acrylic (hard shell) and soft medical-grade silicone (soft shell); and two different form factors: full concha (1) or mini (2).

Important User Information
  • If these instructions and warnings are not adhered to, the protection afforded by the product will be severely impaired.

  • The product is intended to be placed in the ear and to protect the wearer from hazardous noise levels. The product is not intended for any other use.

  • The product must be fitted, adjusted and maintained in accordance with the instructions. Improper fitting can reduce its effectiveness in attenuating noise.

  • The material and design of the ear molds is long lasting. Nevertheless, the shape of your ear canal may change over time (e.g., if your body weight changes significantly). This could adversely affect the sealing of the ear molds and thereby the provided attenuation.

  • Before inserting the product into the ear canal, first ensure the filter is correctly positioned in the ear tip (3) (7).

  • Please ensure that the product and your hands are clean before insertion in order to reduce the risk of infection.

  • The product may be adversely affected when coming into contact with chemicals or alcohol.

  • Choking hazard: Keep the product out of reach of young children.

  • Earplug devices also attenuate warning sounds, alarms, and other important signals. Always pay extra attention to your surroundings when wearing earplugs.

  • Keep the clean earmolds in the provided container before and after use and for transport, and store it in a dry place at temperatures not below -20°C or above +60°C.

  • Suitable hearing protection must be worn at all times in noisy surroundings. Wearing hearing protection for several hours at a time can cause discomfort. Take a break by removing the hearing protection in a safe environment to reduce strain on your ears.

Instructions for Use
For full-concha shell – Acrylic and Silicone Inserting into the ear
  • The ear mold marked red is for your right ear, the ear mold marked blue is for your left ear.
  • Insert the ear mold into your outer ear with the opening pointing into your ear canal (4).
  • Twist the ear mold slightly to insert it fully into your ear (5) Ensure that the device holds firmly in your outer ear and forms a good seal (6).
Removing from the ear
  • Hold the ear mold and withdraw it from your ear carefully, using a slow forward movement to avoid a rapid pressure drop.
  • If your ear plugs are fitted with a neck cord or cable, NEVER remove them by pulling on the cord or cable as this can damage the product.
For mini shell – Acrylic and Silicone Inserting into the ear
  • The ear mold marked red is for your right ear, the ear mold marked blue is for your left ear.
  • To ease insertion, pull the top of the ear outward and upward, this is best achieved by holding the ear with the opposite hand, the arm placed around the back of the head. (8)
  • Gently push and twist the product into the ear(9) until it sits comfortably in the ear canal while forming a good seal with the ear canal. (10).
Removing from the ear
  • To remove, grip the earplug and twist in a forward motion while pulling gently away from the ear.
Removing/Inserting Filters on Acrylic Shells (hard shell)
  • Grip the tongue of the filter between thumb and forefinger
  • Pull gently to remove the filter and its silicone ring out of the shell, then press on the edge of the ring to remove the filter. (11).
  • To insert a new filter: insert the filter into its silicone ring, the logo facing upward, so the logo will face out of the shell once in place.
  • Put the filter back to the shell by pressing down on the logo to correctly position the filter in the cavity of the shell.
Removing/Inserting Filters on Silicone Shells (soft shell)
  • To change the filter gently insert the extraction tool into the filter slot (12).
  • Turn through 180 degrees (half a turn) and remove the filter.
  • Before placing a new filter first ensure that the logo in the filter is facing upward, so the logo will face out of the ear tip once inserted. Insert the filter into the larger opening of the ear tip. This is best achieved by inserting the filter at an angle, pushing the lower side of the filter in first. Then press down on the logo to correctly position the filter in the cavity of the ear tip
Cleaning and Storage
  • Clean the Shell after each use to remove earwax (Cerumen) and other debris. The Shell can be wiped clean with a damp cloth or antibacterial cleaning tissues.
  • For a deeper cleaning, after removing the filter (see “Removing/Inserting Filters”), the Schell can be cleaned with soap or hygiene tablets and then rinsed in tepid water and dried thoroughly.
  • We recommend only cleaning the filter if necessary. Do not use alcohol-based cleaning solutions, soaps or detergents. After cleaning, the filter needs to be thoroughly rinsed in tepid water and allowed to dry slowly.
  • Do not dry the products with a heating appliance (microwave, oven or any other type of appliance).
  • Always store the product in the pouch provided for this purpose or in a clean resealable protective case. Do not store with other objects. Recommended storage temperature range is between -20 °C and +60 °C.
  • Although the risk for having skin irritation or allergy from using the product is extremely low, when the above cleaning and storage recommendations are followed, if such case occurs, please stop using the product and contact your physician.

Make sure the filters ((3) (7)) are inserted correctly, with the logo facing upward. If they are not, the hearing protection device will be ineffective!
