Introduction

The dome-shaped design of dome cameras gives them their name. These security cameras are made to resist any weather conditions, indoors or out. The infrared LEDs built into their design enable the camera to operate even in low- or no-light conditions.

TVI/AHD/CVI/960H CVBS (Analog) 4 Modes of video output are supported by this CCTV camera. Before using, please switch the video mode from the default analogue working mode (only 1200TVL, not very clear) to the one that corresponds to your DVR’s VIDEO MODE using the joystick cable. Working mode for cameras

This 5MP 180° Dome Camera has a 5 Megapixel resolution in both TVI and AHD operating modes. Only 4MP can be used in CVI working mode. (PS: A 5MP DVR and 5MP High Resolution are required.)

In order to switch to the 960H analogue operating mode when the camera screen turns black (no signal/no image), press the OSD button to the up side for approximately 10 seconds. After that, you can push the OSD button in the centre to switch the camera’s working mode.

What is this camera’s lux rating?****

When the IR led is turned on, the camera’s lux level is approximately 10 Lux CDS.

How can I connect to my Macbook?****

Since this camera is Analog/ AHD/ TVI/ CVI, it must be used with a DVR before you may connect your Macbook using the DVR settings. The camera cannot directly connect to your MacBook. An IP camera can be found by searching. Most IP cameras feature software that allows them to connect straight to your MacBook.

Why is my daytime photo reddish? Not showing true colors****

I believe that the camera does not function properly with your DVR. Please press the OSD button to the left, right, up, or down side to change the working mode. Make sure to press and hold the button for at least 10 seconds. Please try all four directions as well.

How can I turn the video around? Even though I can mirror-image, the way the camera is situated makes the image appear upside-down.****

To alter the direction of the image, open the camera cover and turn the plastic body around 180 degrees.

I have a camera that only displays in black and white. Is there a way to enable colour?****

If the camera’s output is in black and white, you can set the camera to the PAL system; otherwise, you must switch to the NTSC system. Please turn on the camera, then press the button on the cable of the camera for 5 seconds to convert it to the NTSC system so that it can display images on your DVR. Please try to inform me.

Will a Night Owl system be compatible with this camera?****

If the Night Owl system you have is a DVR system, then our camera can connect to it. It cannot, however, work with your system if it is an IP NVR system.

Can the camera be rotated after installation? Once the camera is mounted, a few minor adjustments may need to be made to the view area.****

After rotating the camera or round area, you tighten the trim piece’s screws.

Can I buy the lens cover alone? I require several of these.****

Yes, we can send you some lens covers, but all of them are in China; they are not available in our Amazon warehouse. Please allow us to ship you the lens cover from China.

Will this camera work without a DVR to link directly to a CCTV monitor?****

If your cctv monitor has a BNC port, you can connect this camera straight to it without using a DVR.

Can I use this camera with a 720p HD DVR?****

A 1080P AHD DVR is required to be used with this camera. If your DVR is 720P AHD.

A dome security camera’s range of vision?****
