Product Usage Instructions:

Checking the Firmware Version:

1. Run the following command in a batch file:
   AudioNavDownloaderUtility -p AUDIONAV -v

2. This will return the installed version number

Updating the Firmware Version:

1. Modify the firmware filename in the batch file
   AUDIONAV_UPDATE_FIRMWARE.BAT to the new version

2. Run the batch file

3. It will return 0 for failure and 1 for success

Remote Update of Device Firmware:

1. Connect to the AudioNav device

2. Check the bcdDevice (from USB descriptor) to identify the
   connected hardware (standard AudioNav or ALT AudioNav)

3. Read the contents of the firmware file. In ALT firmware file,
   an additional identifier @7000 with value 10 is added

4. If the new firmware matches the hardware:

   • Step 1: Retrieve configuration data before upgrade (includes
     serial number, keycodes & settings)

   • Step 2: Upgrade keypad using specified method

   • Step 3: Retrieve configuration data after upgrade

   • Step 4: Check the configuration correctness by comparing
     results before and after upgrade

Q: How do I know if I have the correct firmware version?

A: You can check the firmware version by running the command
‘AudioNavDownloaderUtility -p AUDIONAV -v’ in a batch file.

Remote Update of Device Firmware
This allows you to check the firmware version, or if you have been sent new firmware you can remotely update the firmware in an AudioNav that is already installed in a kiosk.
AudioNav Downloader Utility version 2.0 includes the following files
· BSL430.dll · AudioNavApi.dll · AudioNavDownloaderUtility.exe · AudioNavUtility.exe · AUDIONAV_UPDATE.BAT · AUDIONAV_UPDATE_FIRMWARE.BAT
Checking the firmware version
Run the following command in a batch file
AudioNavDownloaderUtility -p AUDIONAV -v
This will return the installed version number

The batch file will perform the following tasks ­
