WARNING: This device is currently rated. Using it in applications beyond its amperage rating can be dangerous and cause electrical fires. Do not exceed the maximum current and voltage levels specified.

  • Wiring must comply with all applicable electrical codes.
  • Turn off the power before removing or installing the disconnect.
  • Strip wires to 3/8 inches (9.5 mm). For 18 AWG, the strip can be 3/8 to 1/2 inch.
  • Grip the black load wire firmly and push.
  • Shut off power at the circuit breaker or remove the fuse when installing this product.
  • To de-mate, grasp the disconnect at each end and pull apart to separate the disconnect halves. Do NOT pull on wires.
  • To mate the disconnect, grasp each disconnect half, align the halves, and push them together.
  • The completed connection should appear as shown.

This disconnect can also be used for ballast disconnect applications where a grounding disconnect is desired.

Instructions

Conductor installation

  1. Wiring must comply with all applicable electrical codes.
  2. Turn off the power before removing or installing the disconnect.
  3. Strip wires to 3/8” (9,5 mm). 18 AWG can be a 3/8” to 1/2” strip.
  4. Grip the black load wire firmly and push the conductor into the green cap port marked with black. See the diagram at right for proper wire insertion for load configuration.
  5. Grip the white load wire firmly and push the conductor into the same side of the connector in the port marked with white.
  6. Grip the ground wire firmly and push the conductor into the port marked with a green circle.
  7. Grip the black supply wire firmly and push the conductor into the port opposite the black load wire (black circle).
  8. Grip the white supply wire firmly and push the conductor into the port opposite the white load wire (white circle).
  9. Grip the ground wire firmly and push the conductor into the port marked with a green circle.
  10. Use only one conductor per port and ensure that no copper is exposed on any of the wires inserted.
  11. See disconnect de-mate/mate installation instructions below when replacing devices.
  12. The wire insertion side of this product is listed for ONE-TIME USE ONLY. DO NOT REMOVE AND REPLACE WIRES.

NEVER remove wires from the product as contact with electricity can cause serious injury or death. Shut off power at the circuit breaker or remove fuse when installing this product.

  • Improperly installed electrical wiring can be dangerous and cause electrical fires. This product must be used under the current rating and wire sizes listed. Consult local building code before doing any electrical work.
  • COPPER TO COPPER ONLY. Do not use on Aluminum. Temperature rating: 105°C (221°F) maximum. Flame Rated UL94V-0.

This disconnect is rated for 600 Volts/6 Amps maximum

Disconnect de-mate / mate installation

  1. To de-mate, grasp the disconnect at each end and pull apart to separate the disconnect halves.
    Do NOT pull on wires.

  2. To mate the disconnect, grasp each disconnect half, align halves, and push them together.

  3. The completed connection should appear as shown.

  • Can also be used for ballast disconnect where grounding disconnect is desired.
