Before Use

Operation

Turn on the device and select the desired pressure setting for water flow. Position the nozzle in your mouth and start cleaning between teeth and along the gumline.

Cleaning and Maintenance

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING: To avoid the risk of fire, electric shock or injury:

  • a. Do not look directly at the UV light.
  • b. Do not leave the device unattended while it is connected.
    • Disconnect the plug when it is not being used.
  • c. Do not use the appliance if its cord or plug is damaged, nor after it malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any way. Stop using the product immediately!
  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by unsupervised children.
  • This device can only be used with cold or warm water.
  • Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is grounded.
  • Check the power cord regularly for visible damage.
  • If Technical Support Service of Cecotec to avoid any type of danger.
  • Do not operate the product if its cord, plug, or body shows visible damage, does not operate properly, or has been dropped.
  • Always turn off and unplug the appliance when not in use, before moving it to a new location before assembling or disassembling it, and before cleaning it. To avoid tipping over, wind the cord safely.
  • Do not direct water under the tongue, ear, nose, or other sensitive areas. This product can produce pressures which may cause serious damage in these areas. Read this instruction manual for the correct operation.
  • Do not use it if you are wearing oral jewelry, remove it before using it.
  • Do not use it if you have an open wound in your mouth or tongue. If you have been advised by your physician to receive antibiotic pre-medication before dental procedures, you should consult your dentist before using this instrument or any other oral hygiene aid. Do not pull the cord nor use it for transport, do not use it as a handle, do not close a door over the cord nor pull it around edges or sharp corners. Do not place the device over the cord.
  • Keep the cord away from heat sources.
  • Pull from the plug, not the cord to unplug it. Do not handle the cord or device with wet hands.
  • Turn off the product before unplugging it.
  • Unplug the irrigator before cleaning the device.
  • This device is intended for household use only. Do not operate outdoors. Do not use the irrigator in places where oxygen or aerosols are being used.
  • A normal phenomenon that causes bleeding gums depends on the gums different support capacity. Store the appliance and its instruction manual in a safe and dry place when not in use.
  • Do not place or store the product in a place where it may fall or be dragged to a bathtub, shower, or sink.
  • Do not immerse in water or any other liquid. Do not use it while you shower.
  • Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into the water, unplug it immediately.
  • Do not use accessories not provided by Cecotec. Use only the following accessories: high-pressure normal nozzle, periodontal nozzle, braces nozzle, dental plaque nozzle, and tongue cleaner nozzle.
  • Fill the tank only with water or other recommended oral solutions.

Traditional cleaning

  • Traditional toothbrushing cannot easily reach the unseen food remains and harmful bacteria. Fig. 1

  • Remove trapped food debris and harmful bacteria with the irrigator. Fig. 3
  • When using electric products, especially in the presence of children, you must follow basic safety precautions.

BEFORE USE

  • Take the device out of its package and remove all packaging material.
  • Check carefully if there is any damage. If there is, immediately notify the Technical Support Service of Cecotec.

OPERATION

UV disinfection

  • Use the disinfection UV light to clean the nozzles after every use. This system provides a controlled disinfection.
  • It has been checked that removes 99.9% of bacteria and viruses.
  • To activate the disinfection system, close the nozzle compartment door and turn the UV/ON/ OFF knob to the UV position.
  • The UV light will only turn on if the door is well closed. The light will turn off if the door is open during the disinfection cycle. When closing it again, the cycle will start again.
  • The disinfection cycle acts for 15 minutes and then it turns off automatically. Stop using the disinfection cycle if the UV light is on when the door is open or if the door is broken. The UV light can be harmful to the human eye and skin.

Preparing the tank

  • Remove the tank from the base. Open the cover and fill the water tank with warm water.
  • Place the tank again in the base, press firmly, and close the cover.
  • The tank cover can be completely removed to make its cleaning easy.

  • Insert the nozzle in the center of the knob in the upper part of the handle and press until it clicks. When it clicks you will see the knob lowers and stays fixed in this position.
  • The color ring will be almost touching the end of the knob if the nozzle is correctly blocked in place.
  • To remove the nozzle from the handle, press the nozzle release button and remove the handle knob nozzle.

Pressure setting

  • Turn the pressure control knob to the lowest position for the first use. Increase pressure gradually over time until the desired setting, or as directed by your dental professional.

Use mode

  • Select the nozzle you want to use and insert it as previously indicated.
  • Connect the plug to a power supply.
  • Lean over the sink and place the nozzle on your mouth. Slightly close your lips to avoid splashes, but allow water to flow from your mouth to the sink.
  • Aim the nozzle at your teeth and with your free hand, turn the UV/OFF/ON switch to the ON position.
  • Set the pressure with the pressure control knob and the jet direction by turning the knob on the handle. Fig. 7
  • Direct the water jet at a 90° angle towards the gum.
  • To achieve better results, start in the molar area towards the front teeth. Fig. 8 Slide the nozzle over the gumline and stop between your teeth.
  • Keep the process until every area around and between teeth is clean.

Pause/Control

  • You can stop water temporarily at any time by pressing the Pause button on the handle. Fig. 9
  • When finished, you must turn off the unit by placing the UV/OFF/ON knob in the OFF position and emptying the remaining liquid in the tank. Unplug the unit.

Periodontal nozzle Fig. 10

  • The periodontal nozzle releases water and an anti-bacterial solution in the periodontal pockets.
  • It is designed to reach the deepest areas in the periodontal cavity.
  • To use this nozzle, lean over the sink and place the nozzle carefully under the gumline, at a 45° angle.
  • Turn on the unit with the lowest pressure setting and clean the gumline by introducing the nozzle between your teeth. Continue over the gumline until you finish cleaning.

Braces nozzle Fig. 11

  • The special nozzle for braces is exclusively designed to brush and rinse simultaneously the areas difficult to access around braces and other dental works.
  • To use the braces nozzle, lean over the sink and use the bristles to slightly clean around the braces, water will flow through the brush to rinse.

Tongue cleaner nozzle Fig. 12

  • Lean over the sink, place this nozzle over your tongue, and turn on the unit with the lowest pressure setting. Increase it if necessary. Place the nozzle on the center of your tongue and drag it forward applying slight pressure.

Dental plaque nozzle Fig. 13

  • Direct the jet at a 90° angle to the gumline, slightly close your lips to avoid splashes, but allow water to flow freely from your mouth to the sink.
  • Start in the molar area (back teeth) and continue towards the front teeth, place the nozzle close to your teeth so bristles touch them softly.
  • Gently slide the nozzle along the gumline, passing briefly between the teeth to brush them and allow the water to flow between your teeth.
  • Continue until all areas around and between the teeth have been cleaned, both inside and outside, top and bottom.

Using other solutions

  • You can use mouthwashes and antibacterial solutions intended for this purpose, paying special attention when cleaning
  • To avoid clogging the irrigator after the use of solutions you should rinse it as follows: fill the tank partially with warm water and operate the device with the nozzle pointing towards the sink until the tank is empty.

To finish

  • Turn off the irrigator and empty the liquid left in the tank.
  • If you use special solutions, clean and rinse thoroughly the tank.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning

  • Before cleaning it, turn off and unplug the irrigator.
  • After using special solutions in the tank, rinse the unit thoroughly.
  • After every use, you can use the UV light to sanitize the nozzles as explained above.
  • Fill half the tank with warm tap water, with the nozzle pointing towards the sink, turn the unit on and let it run until the tank is empty, this will help prevent the nozzle from clogging and help your unit last longer.
  • Clean the product, if necessary, with a soft cloth and a soft non-abrasive cleaning agent.
  • Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before cleaning.

Maintenance and repair

  • After cleaning the oral irrigator, place the tank upside down on a flat surface to make sure it completely dries. When it is completely dry, place it again on the body, also clean and dry.
  • You must place it in the original box or a similar one when it is not going to be used for a long time.
  • If the robot does not work properly, contact the Cecotec Technical Support Service.
  • Do not try to disassemble or repair the product. If this causes any problems with the product, the warranty will not cover it.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND WARRANTY

  • This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given proper use, as explained in this instruction manual.

The warranty will not cover the following situations:

  • The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten, exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault attributable to the customer.
  • If the product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons not authorized by the Cecotec official Technical Support Service.
  • Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use.
  • The warranty service covers every manufacturing defect of your appliance for 2 years, based on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not apply.
