EYE-VAC EVPRO Touchless Vacuum Automatic Dustpan
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This electrical appliance must always be used according to the following safety instructions. Save these instructions as this manual contains important safety and operating information. When using an electrical appliance, basic pre-cautions should always be followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury:
- Always turn the Control Dial to the OFF position before unplugging the EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL.
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning or servicing it. Do not unplug by pulling the cord; to unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
- Do not let the EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used near children. Do not use in AUTO Mode or leave appliances plugged in near small children or infants.
- Do not pull or carry the appliance by the cord. Do not run the appliance over the cord, close a door on the cord, or pull the cord around sharp edges or corners. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
- Do not use the appliance if the cord or plug is damaged.
- Do not handle the plug or appliance with wet hands.
- Do not use appliances on wet surfaces.
- Do not be exposed to rain.
- Do not use appliances to dispose of water or damp materials such as mud, tile grout, plaster filler, or caulking. Do not use it to pick up any liquid or wet objects.
- Do not use appliances to vacuum up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline. Do not use in areas where these liquids may be present.
- Do not use this appliance to vacuum up burning or smoking materials, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
- Keep hair, loose clothing, and all parts of the body, especially fingers, away from openings and moving parts.
- Do not put any objects into appliance openings, or use them with any openings blocked or plugged.
- Do not use this appliance to pick up hard or sharp objects or other large surface litter. Pick these up by hand before vacuuming.
- Do not operate without the Collection Bin properly in place.
- Use the appliance only as described in this Use and Care Guide.
- Turn the appliance off and unplug it before removing or replacing the Collection Bin or Filter.
- Unplug the appliance before cleaning or maintenance.
- If the appliance is not working as it should, call for instructions on where to send it for repair. Do not attempt to repair it, as it will invalidate your warranty.
- When cleaning the outside of the appliance, wipe with a damp cloth to reduce the static electricity on the outer surface.
WARNING! To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use it on wet surfaces. Do not be exposed to rain. Store indoors.

DESCRIPTION OF EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
- Remove EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL from the packaging and set it upright on any non-carpeted flooring. Remove packing tape from the Micro Exhaust Filter on the side of the unit.
- Plug the unit into any standard 120V(US)/220-240V(EU) AC electrical outlet.
- Turn Control Dial to the MAN position for manual operation or to the AUTO position for automated use. The POWER Indicator Light will illuminate when the Control Dial is in either of these positions. Your EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL is now ready for use.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL cannot operate when the Control Dial is in the OFF position.
- Turn the Control Dial to the MAN position for manual operation or to the AUTO position for automated use. The POWER Indicator Light will illuminate when the Control Dial is in either of these positions
- In the MANUAL Mode, sweep debris toward the Inlet at the Base of the unit, press the Manual Activation Button, and let EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL vacuum the debris through the Inlet and into the Collection Bin.
NOTE:
- The MANUAL Mode will run for 7.5 seconds. Depending on the amount of debris, it may be necessary to press the Manual Activation Button more than once.
- When the Control Dial is turned to the AUTO position, sweep debris toward the Inlet at the Base of the unit and the Eye-Vac™ Sensors will detect the debris and automatically initiate a timed vacuuming cycle which will terminate once the Eye-Vac™ Sensors no longer detect debris. EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL will vacuum the debris through the Inlet and into the Collection Bin without you ever having to bend over or touch the dirt.
- Use the Manual Activation Button to begin vacuuming in either the MANUAL or AUTO Modes.
- As debris accumulates, the Collection Bin will need to be emptied. The Collection Bin Indicator Light lets you know when it’tisme to empty the Collection Bin.
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
- To empty the EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL Collection Bin, turn the Control Dial to the OFF position and unplug the unit.
- Pull the Collection Bin outward from the front of the Bin Cavity. Grasp the Collection Bin Grip firmly and lift it out and away from the EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL Main Unit.
- Holding the Collection Bin firmly with one hand, grasp the Collection Bin Lid Handle with the other hand, and pull the Lid straight up and out to remove.
- Turn the Collection Bin upside down over a trash can. Make sure you empty all dirt and debris from inside and below the Bin. To ensure that all the dirt spills out, tap the side of the Collection Bin gently against the edge of the trash can. Re-attach the Collection Bin Lid to the top of the Collection Bin.
- Clean Sensors, Dirt Inlet area, and Collection Bin Cavity with a damp rag or towel.
- Insert the assembled Collection Bin with Lid fitted snugly into position bottom-first into the Collection Bin Storage Cavity at the front of the EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL. The 2 grooves in the bottom of the Bin fit easily over the rod in the front of the unit. Grasp the Collection Bin Grip and lock the Collection Bin back into position.
HEALTH TIP
If you suffer from allergies or asthma, take the Collection Bin outdoors to empty. As you empty the dirt into the trash can, gently tap the Collection Bin against the side of the can to remove loose debris.
CLEANING
CLEANING THE DIRT FILTER
To maintain optimal performance, the Dirt Filter will need cleaning whenever the suction is not strong. The Dirt Filter must be clean and free of elements, which might hinder the flow of air.
- Turn the Control Dial to the OFF position and unplug the unit.
- Pull the Collection Bin outward from the front of the Bin Cavity. Grasp the Collection Bin Grip firmly and lift it out and away from the EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL Main Unit. Locate the Dirt Filter Handle.
- Remove the Dirt Filter by grasping the Dirt Filter Handle and turning counter-clockwise to the “unlock” position. Pull the Filter straight up and out of the top of the Collection Bin (See Figure 3.). Rinse under running water to clean.
- IMPORTANT! Dry thoroughly before use.
- Slide the Dirt Filter back into the top of the Collection Bin. Rotate clockwise to the “lock” position. Put the Collection Bin back into place.
IMPORTANT! NEVER OPERATE THE EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL WITHOUT THE DIRT FILTER PROPERLY IN PLACE.
CLEANING THE MICRO EXHAUST FILTER HOLDER
- The Micro Exhaust Filter Holder slides up and out of its housing on the side of the unit.
- Gently pull the Filter out of the Filter Holder. (See Figure 4)
- Tap the Filter gently against the trash container to free and eliminate excess dirt and debris. (See Figure 5)
- To clean the Filter, wash in mild soap and water; rinse and dry thoroughly before using the unit.
- If a new Filter is needed, replace it with standard HEPA HF4 filter cartridges. Make sure that it fits snugly in the Filter Holder. Replacement Filters are available through the Customer Service Department.
- Slide the Holder back into the unit with the Filter facing outwards.
IMPORTANT! NEVER OPERATE EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL WITHOUT THE MICRO EXHAUST FILTER AND FILTER HOLDER PROPERLY IN PLACE.
CLEANING THE COLLECTION BIN

The Collection Bin should be washed periodically.

Wash the Bin in warm water using a mild soap. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners or sponges. Rinse thoroughly.
TO AVOID DAMAGE, DO NOT PLACE COLLECTION BIN IN THE DISHWASHER. -
Let it air dry. Make sure the Collection Bin is completely dry before putting it back into the EYE-VAC PROFES- SIONAL.

Insert the assembled Collection Bin following the instructions outlined in the USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS on page 3.
IMPORTANT NOTES Other than cleaning the Dirt Filter and replacing the Micro Exhaust Filter Holder, as described in this Manual, this Automatic Vacuuming Dust Bin is not user-serviceable. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the unit. Servicing by our Authorized Service Center is required to avoid damage to internal components.
STORAGE
- Unplug unit and clean the Collection Bin and all Filters before storing.
- Store EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL indoors, in a clean, dry place.
- Never store EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL while it is still plugged in. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, use the Cord Storage area on the back of the EYE-VAC PROFESSIONAL unit. Do not put any stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to wear and break.

One-Year Limited Warranty. What is covered: JPAULJONES,LP warrants to the first retail purchaser of this Eye-Vac Professional that should this product or any part be proved defective in materials or workmanship from the date of proof of purchase for a period of one (1) year, then it will be subject to the terms of this one-year limited warranty.
Such defects will be replaced or credit issued at JPAULJONES,LP option, without charge for parts or labor directly related to the defect. Limitations and Exclusions: This warranty does not apply to any cost incurred for removal or re-installation, or to any product or part thereof which has suffered through normal wear and tear, alteration, improper installation, physical abuse, misuse, neglect, or accident. Nor does it cover defects caused by shipment to JPAULJONES, LP, or repair or service ofthe product by anyone other than JPAULJONES,LP.
