Configuring the Software
Before starting with the cooler validation process, ensure that
you have configured the software by following the steps provided in
the manual.
Assembling Equipment & Supplies
Collect the necessary equipment and supplies including probes,
LogTag temperature recorder, blood container, freezer packs, and
cold packs as outlined in the manual.
Packing the Cooler and Starting Temperature Recording
Place the required items in the cooler as per the instructions
provided. Start the temperature recording by pressing the
START/MARK button on the LogTag.
Closing the Cooler and Waiting
Close the cooler and wait for the specified duration (4 hours or
longer) depending on your validation protocol.
Collecting and Downloading Temperature Data
After the waiting period, collect the recorder and download the
temperature data to a computer for further analysis.
Viewing and Printing Temperature Data
View the temperature data on your computer and print it out.
Attach the printed data to your validation documents for
reference.
Hibernating the Recorder
To extend the battery life of the recorder, follow the steps
provided in the manual to put it into hibernation mode.

· Place container (for blood units) in cooler and surround with freezer packs
· Insert probe in topmost bag, attach probe to recorder
· Press START button on the recorder. Flashing red then green “OK” indicates
temperature is recording.
· Pack cooler with blood units, recorder and cold packs as shown.

2 DOWNLOAD and INSTALL recorder software, then attach cradle to computer
1 Download Log Tag Analyzer software from www.zebra.com/valasuresupport Follow installation prompts on computer screen.
