Machine Quilting Techniques Supply List
This is a workshop class where you will learn and practice several different types of machine quilting. You will go home with simple instructions and samples of the types. Some of the fabrics and supplies will be provided at the class for you to use, and some you will need to bring.
Bring: 2/3 yard muslin (45”) cut into 10” to 12”squares on the grain (not on
the bias)
-5 14” squares of cotton batting (like Simply or Warm & Natural)
-DARK neutral color cotton thread–50# preferred
-1/4” foot for your machine (or ¼” setting)
-walking foot if available**some machines have auto dual feed
-quilting needle size 14 (topstitch or denim is also fine)
-small ruler
-washable marker
-free motion foot
Also: Sewing machine with power cord and foot control
-Basic sewing supplies including scissors and ripper
