If you want to learn or refresh your sewing skills by creating a fun and
functional lined tote bag, follow these
Gather Supplies
Before the first class session, purchase your fabric from Cloth Carousel
to receive a 10% discount. The required supplies include:
- Scissors
- Pins
- Other sewing tools (provided, but you can bring your own)
Attend Class
Attend the class instructed by Mel Sanchez at Cloth Carousel in Vacaville,
CA.
Create Your Tote Bag
Follow the instructions provided by the instructor to sew and assemble your
lined tote bag. You can use it for groceries, books, or everyday use.
Want to learn to sew? Need to refresh your sewing skills? This is the perfect
class for you! Create this fun and functional lined tote bag for groceries,
books, or just life!
Supply List:
(Please purchase your fabric before the first class session; you will receive
a 10% discount when purchasing class supplies at the Cloth Carousel.)
Fabric: must be 100% cotton, at least 42-45” wide.
- ½ yard medium to heavy weight fabric for exterior
- ½ yard quilting weight cotton fabric for lining
- 2 yards of 1-inch cotton webbing
- Sewing thread
Sewing machines are available for student use at a fee of $15 payable directly
to the instructor at the time of the class. If you need to use a sewing
machine, please arrive 10 minutes before class. Students are welcome to bring
their machines as well.
Scissors, pins, and other sewing tools are provided, however, students are
welcome to bring their own supplies.
