below:
Checking Your Product:

mower. -
Check the model number and date of manufacture on the
identification plate. -
If your mower’s model number matches the affected models listed
above, take the necessary actions.
Actions to Take:

Stop using the affected mower immediately.

Disconnect the negative battery cable following the provided
instructions. -
Contact your dealer for a free replacement of the affected
voltage regulator.
Instructions for Disconnecting Negative Battery Cable:

Locate the battery and the black negative battery cable.

Remove the bolt and nut securing the negative battery cable to
the negative battery terminal using appropriate wrenches. -
Secure the negative battery cable away from the terminal with a
zip-tie to prevent contact.
If you need assistance or feel uncomfortable disconnecting the
battery yourself, contact your dealer for help. They will assist
you at no additional charge.

Description: This recall involves Cub Cadet zero turn mowers, manufactured between 1 April 2021 and 15 December 2023, with the model numbers listed below.

Check your product: Customers with a Cub Cadet mower should check the model plate to verify if they have an affected unit. The model number and date of manufacture is printed on the identification plate visible in front of or behind the seat. The model number will appear in the upper left-hand corner of the label under the heading “Model Number”. The month and year of manufacture will appear in the center of the label under the heading “DOM”.
Only Cub Cadet zero turn mowers manufactured between 1 April 2021 and 15
December 2023, with the model numbers listed above, are affected by this
notice.
Other Cub Cadet mowers are not affected.
What should you do? If you own an affected model, stop using it immediately,
disconnect the negative battery cable and secure it away from the negative
battery, and contact the dealer from whom you purchased your product to
arrange a free replacement of the affected voltage regulator.
Instructions for Disconnecting Negative Battery Cable
1. Locate the battery and the black negative battery cable. 2. Remove the
bolt and nut securing the negative battery cable to the negative battery
terminal using the appropriate size wrenches. Note: take care not to touch the
positive battery terminal with the wrenches, to prevent severe arching and
possible damage to the battery and or possible personal injury.
3. Next, secure the negative battery cable with a zip-tie away from the
terminal as shown below.
If you need assistance or instruction with disconnecting the battery, please contact your dealer. If you feel uncomfortable disconnecting the battery, please immediately contact your dealer to make arrangements to have your dealer disconnect the battery for you. Your dealer will disconnect the battery at no charge to you.
