**Danfoss HG and HA Compressors Installation Guide

**

Safety Instructions

  • Only skilled personnel are allowed to work on the refrigerant compressors.
  • The local safety and accident prevention regulations, as well as the requisite technical rules, must be observed

Points to be observed before working on the compressor or unit:

  • Switch off the machine and safeguard it from being inadvertently switched on again.
  • Disconnect the power supply line and motor cable.
  • Relieve the machine from the system pressure.
  • Please use original Bock spare parts exclusively.

After maintenance work has been completed:

  • Connect up the safety switch and check functions.
  • Evacuate the compressor (plant).
  • Before starting up the compressor check that all components fitted by the user have been fitted correctly to the com- pressor and are compression proof (e.g. pipelines, plugs, union nuts, replaced components etc.)
  • Open the shut-off valves (suction, pres- sure and liquid valves).
  • Reconnect the power supply line and motor cable.
  • Lift the switch-on safeguard.

General

These installation instructions describe the main procedure involved for installation the bearing bush to the main bearing/oil pump in Bock compressors HG(HA) 4, 5 and 6.

Scope of delivery

Assembly kit no. 097B80175, HG(HA)4 and 5

(journal box for rear main bearing)

The kit contains two bearing bushes:

  1. Version with collar, Joint diameter 65 mm
  2. Version without collar, Outside diameter 55 mm

The kit contains two bearing bushes:

  1. Version Ø 60 mm (until 05/2010)
  2. Version Ø 55 mm (since 06/2010)

Assembly kit no. 097B80175

Extraction

  • a) Unscrew the setscrew (if available)
  • b.) Force bearing bush out

**Version with collar

Compressor housing Oil pump side**

Version without collar

Insertion

  • c) Oil the bore.
  • d.) Align the bearing bush, paying attention to the position of the butt joint!
  • e.) Force-fit evenly up to the stop (version with collar) or flush with the contact surface (version without collar).

  • a.) Force bearing bush out
    **Version Ø 60 mm

Insertion

  • b.) Oil the bore.
  • c.) Align the bearing bush, paying attention to the position of the butt joint!
  • d.) Force-fit evenly
    Version Ø 60 mm: up to the stop
    Version Ø 55 mm: see measures in fig
