DEFAULT SETTINGS

• HD Mirror Cam default setting for the following features as listed. This can be changed to user’s preference.
• Night Vision Mode-Default setting ON
• Resolution- Default setting 720P
• Sleep Mode- Default setting OFF
• Time Stamp- Default setting ON

INSTALLATION

GETTING STARTED

1. MOUNT
   Attach HD Mirror Cam™ to your existing rearview mirror using the rubber strap bands (located in the back of the Mirror Cam)

2. POWER
   Connect the device to the included car charger and plug in the car adaptor & neatly wire the cord from the car charger using the included clips. (Peel off the paper cover on the sticky side of the clips & stick accordingly to the surface)

3. DRIVE
   Turn on the ignition and the HD Mirror Cam™ will turn on and begin recording automatically (Must have a Micro SD card in card slot and car charger connected to record)

A Micro SD Memory card (included) is already preloaded in the Micro SD Memory Card Slot. HD Mirror Cam will not record without a Micro SD Card
IMPORTANT: The rechargeable battery included with the device is not intended for long-term use when disconnected from the car charger. When disconnected from the car charger the maximum battery life last up to 60 minutes when fully charged. To achieve optimal performance, we recommend that you read the included instruction manual carefully before using your device.

BASIC OPERATIONS

POWERING ON DEVICE
The device will power on automatically when plugged in car charger and can also be powered on by pressing the power button until the display activates. The unit will begin recording automatically. Press the “OK” button to turn the video recording off/on. Once you stop recording the unit will save the file automatically.

POWERING OFF DEVICE
Press and hold the power button 3 seconds to shut down the device.

MICRO SD MEMORY CARD

• The device comes with a pre-installed Micro SD memory card. To remove the Micro SD card, press firmly on the Micro SD card to push it further into the slot. There will be a click and the Micro SD card will pop out on release. Extract the card and replace as necessary by inserting a card into the slot and pressing it until it locks in place (HD Mirror Cam will not record without a Micro SD Card).

• ENDLESS WOP RECORDING & FILE WCKING -Footage is stored in 1, 3, 5, or 10-minute clips. When the memory card fills up, the camera automatically deletes the oldest segments to make room for new ones. You can use the file FILE LOCKING feature to protect a video file from being deleted. Choose which file to Lock or Unlock. (Lock One/Lock All/Unlock One/Unlock All) then choose an action-Cancel/ Execute.

• ONE BUTTON CAPTURE – Quickly capture still images with one button. Press the button to take a picture on video recording mode (Feature ONLY works while the video is recording).

• NIGHT VISION MODE -The built-in camera has infrared LED (invisible) lights for nighttime recording. The default setting for Night Vision Mode is set to ON. You can turn this feature Off/On by pressing the button. This is the same button as the power button.
  You will see the (, symbol on the screen to indicate that it’s on.

• PHOTO CAPTURE MODE -Press the MODE button to select Photo (the upper right corner of the screen will display a blue ‘W’ icon). Press the “OK” button to capture images.

• AUDIO RECORDING MODE -Press the MODE button to select Audio (the screen will display a microphone). Press the “OK” button to record audio. Then press the “OK” button to pause the audio recording.

CHARGING THE DEVICE
You can charge the device with the included car charger. When fully charged the battery will have three green blocks inside of it and stay solid “Green.

CAUTION:
When the battery is low the unit will enter into power-saving mode, or function inconsistently. Plug the device into the provided car charger. The built-in rechargeable battery included with your device is not intended for long-term use when disconnected from the car charger. The battery life lasts up to 60 minutes when fully charged and disconnected from the car charger

DEVICE SETTINGS

VIDEO SETTINGS

• Press the MODE button until you see the upper right comer screen display a red video camera. Then press the MENU button to select the following setting options.
• Resolution – Chose your video resolution settings to (HD) 1280x720P or 640×480 (VGA). The default is set to 720P.
• Time Stamp- This feature stamps the time and date that the video is recorded. Set to Off/ On. Motion Detect – Off/ On. If selected “ON”, the device will start recording automatically when movement is detected and the device will save the video automatically. Once no motion is detected, the unit will enter standby mode but will start to record again if movement is detected. The unit must be powered on for the motion detect mode to be enabled.
• Video Loop Time – Choose Off/ lmin/ 3min/ 5min/ lOmin. With “Loop Recording” you can automatically record and save video files in your choice of 1/3/5/10 minute intervals. When the memory card fills up, the camera automatically deletes the oldest segments to make room for new ones.
• Voice Record-Turn Off/On for audio recording
• Sleep Mode – Select Off to disable this function. When selecting lmin/ 3min/ 5min, this will put the camera on sleep mode after lmin/ 3min/ 5min while not in use. When sleep mode is activated while recording, the screen will shut off but will record continuously.
• One Touch Capture-Press the button to capture still images (feature available ONLY while video is recording)
• After selection, press the “OK” button to confirm, the setting is now complete. Then press the MENU button to exit each setting.
• PHOTO SETTINGS: Press the MODE button until you see the upper right comer screen display a blue “.A:’ icon). To select photo resolution press “MENU”, then press “OK” to select resolution size S/M/L.
  • Size: 1600Xl200(L)/1280X960(M)/640X480(S)
  • Press the “OK” button to take a picture in Photo mode

After selection, click “OK” button to confirm, the setting is completed. Then click the MENU button to exit each setting

GENERAL SETTINGS

• Press the MENU button twice for general set up. Use Up/Down buttons to select settings you want to change. Then press “OK” to select setting options.
• Format -Cancel/Confirm erase. Selecting Confirm erase will format the Micro SD card. This will only format the Micro SD card.
• NOTE -Formatting your Micro SD card will erase anything that you have saved in your card! Language- English/Traditional Chinese/Simplified
• Chinese/Japanese/Francais/Deutsch/ltaliano/Portuguese/Espanol, etc.
• Auto Off (Power Save)- Choose Off/ lmin/ 3min/ 5min/- This will shut off the camera after 1/3/5 min IF THE CAMERA IS NOT RECORDING! Once you stop recording, this feature will automatically resume.
• Date and Time Input- [Year/Month/Date], HH: MM
• Press the “UP /DOWN” button to select, and press “OK” to confirm. Then click MENU button to exit each setting

MEDIA SETTINGS

• Press the MODE button until you see the upper right corner screen display a ► Then press the MENU button to select the following setting options.
• Delete: Chose which file to Delete (Delete One or Delete All files) then choose an action­Cancel/Execute
• File locking: This option will protect a video file from being deleted. Chose which file to Lock or Unlock. (Lock One/Lock All/Unlock One/Unlock All) then choose an action­

Cancel/Execute

• Thumbnail: This feature lets you view all video, photo & audio files captured. Select either Cancel or Execute. Then choose the file to view.
• Volume: This option lets you adjust playback volume from 0-6
• After selection, press “OK” to confirm, the setting completed. Then press the MENU button to exit.

MEDIA PLAYBACK

• To view or listen to captured media, press the MODE button and select media to playback.
• VIDEO: To select video file(s), press the MODE button until you see a file name with an . AVI extension and an arrow/play icon on top of the screen. Use the UP & DOWN buttons to select the video file you want to view, then press the OK button to play the video file.
•  To select photo file(s), press the MODE button until you see a file name with a.JPG extension and an arrow/play icon on top of the screen. Use the UP & DOWN buttons to select the photo file you want to view.
• AUDIO: To select an audio file(s), press the MODE button until you see a file name with a WAV extension and an arrow/play icon on top of the screen. Use the UP & DOWN buttons to select the audio file you want to listen to, then press the OK button to play the audio file.
• NOTE: Files are saved in order from newest to oldest.

COMPUTER CONNECTION
To view /listen to video, photo or audio on a computer, remove the Micro SD card from HD Mirror Cam. Press the Micro SD card lightly and the Micro SD card will eject partially allowing you to remove it. Insert Micro SD card in card reader & connect card reader into USB port of your computer. A removable drive will pop up. Select this drive to view /listen to your files.

STORAGE
A Micro SD card comes installed in this unit but it can support cards up to 32GB. It is recommended that you use a Micro SD Card with a class speed of 6 or higher. Also the Micro SD card included is a starter card, for more storage we recommend you purchase a larger Micro SD card.
